Poor preparation and planning - PCB should be held responsible for the Test series loss to Sri Lanka

How can you organise test series before your domestic first class season has started?

Most of our players haven't played any first class match since playing final test match against West Indies in May?

Why no warm up/practice matches for our players before test series in Pakistan?

Why was test series reduced two match series and it's appears Pakistan is the only country play two match series?

Our next planned test match is against England in May 2018, why no test matches in between? Such big gap until next test match.

All your points are valid and should be a source of concern.

However, if we had played two spinners and had the batsmen taken more responsibility, we should've won anyway.

Variety of factors contributed to the loss.

The PCB is rubbish at planning and scheduling. We are also hampered by the stupid notion that India will play us. in nearly 70 years they still havent come up with a decent season for our cricketers. Stupid people.

Totally agreed, I mentioned the appalling lack of preparation in this thread - http://www.pakpassion.net/ppforum/s...r-of-inactivity-coming-back-to-haunt-Pakistan

A five day training camp in Lahore squeezed in after Sethi's World XI vanity project was not adequate.

When the Test team is in transition, you need to play as much Test cricket as possible to find the right combination and blood the new players. These long periods of inactivity means players can't adjust to the format, the bowlers don't have the fitness for long spells and thus break down.
