If I have to pick one I might have to go with Naseem Shah. He has the pace, attitude and well directed action and with such pace he can knock big time on the door of Pakistan cricket team.

Some other potential players for the "Star" title can be:

Mohammad Musa (Aggressive, smooth action and generates unexpected pace from the pitch)

Nasir Nawaz (Naturally aggressive stroke maker and a big plus he is mainly a batsman where competition is comparatively less, decent pace bowler as well)

Danish Aziz (Good temperament and has some good range of hitting zones, bowls decent slow left arm as well)

Mohammad Irfan (Leggie) (A leg spinner who gives some good revolutions on the ball and actually gets it to spin on most occasions and a handy lower middle order batsman)

Haris Rauf (Guy has some of the best fast yorkers going around)

Ahsan Ali (Not amazing first class stats at 24 years of age but has some impressive shots in his weaponry and considering how we are desperately looking for batting talent, 2,3 decent performances from him can get him noticed)

Sohail Akhtar (One of the best hitters of a cricket ball in Pakistan)

Ghulam Mudassar (A left a fast bowler with a lot of potential who can make the ball talk with pace but unfortunately couldn't impress in 1 or 2 games he played at LQ, wont be surprised if he comes to the party this time around if given a game)

Notable mentions: Amad Butt, Saud Shakeel (If he ever gets a game) and Sameen Gul

Overseas : Phil Salt, Thomas Moores, Aaron Summers, Qais Ahmed

Ali Imran is another name to watch, coming off a 65-ball century in the QAE SemiFinal

Musa.

Remember the name. You guys will be begging PCB to select him in the World Cup Squad InshaAllah

The name Musa is extremely befitting. Pakistan was once a great nation that produced express pace bowlers. There has been a drought however, a decade ago we had Shoaib Akhtar running the final few miles of his career, and Wahab Riaz not carrying the torch the way he should have. We are calling for a saviour of express pace bowling,

InshaAllah Muhammad Musa is that express pace bowling saviour! Remember the name

Not really express pace, average speed is around 89MPH, and with his height the ball will be coming at low trajectory and thus won’t trouble the batsmen on flat pitches. We’ll be remembering his name, mainly for the wrong reasons.

18 years old, clocked 150kmh at the World Cup and has the guile/swag that is needed to survive as a world class player. I am here and so are you, let’s see in 5 years who is right And who is wrong

150 doesn’t really woo me anymore, ever since the Indian bowlers have been doing it TBH.

Should have been Saif Badar. But will be Nasir Nawaz.

How tall is Musa? Is Naseem Shah taller?

We need at least young strokeplay batsmen. Saud and Nasir I am hoping for.

Musa is around 5 ft 6”, and Naseem is just taller

It's a shame about his height. His listed age is 18 so he is probably around 20 in reality. Therefore, he probably doesn't have much more growing to do!

Height is important for a fast bowler and there has never been a successful fast bowler at 5'6". Before people talk about Steyn, Marshall et al, they are 5 inches taller at 5'11"!

Hasan Ali is doing well and is only 5'9", but 5'6" is too short. Malinga is another shorter bowler(approx 5'7") who was fairly successful in his short prime, but he is an outlier due to his awkward action!

Time will tell how successfull Hasnain is, but i am not convinced he has the natural tools to succeed!

Arshad Iqbal, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Musa.

Don't think Musa is 5'6...

While being taller has its definite adavantages, I think height like Musa and the pace, nip and bounce he generates from such height is gonna be un natural for most of the batsmen to adjust to. Also what he generates is mainly from that last moment burst at the crease.

If he can keep his execution right he is gonna trouble some top batsmen I guess.

What is the point for PSL when they are actually not picking up talent in the drafts?

Every year there are so many names especially of new young talent that go without even being mentioned and they select players like Iftikhar, Jaahid, Shahzad, Umar Akmal and many many more.
