Back with a bang!

A warm welcome-back to @W63L35 and the Post of the Week Award for his excellent take on a topic often discussed on PP.

Congratulations!

Very good analysis.

This is the point that many of us have been making, but many fail to see the point.

Averages are great, but strike-rates have to be taken more seriously by our top 4.

Reminds me of the title of the 3rd LOTR movie...

Well deserved.

Thank you all!
Bro, you would you mind sharing the same analysis for the period 1993 to 2003 please? Thanks.

I am curious how Pakistan compared to others when Anwars, Afridis and Nazirs we're in full flow.

Interesting post!

Pakistan's strike rates have always a bit lower in the top 3 or 4, which makes room for someone like Haris but a lot of it is down to Fakhar Zaman going missing in the last several games.

It also makes it even more impressive that Pakistan won so many games and just how important the pace trio was before Naseems injury.

I just had a look at Pakistan chasing which isn't too bad, they're ranked 5th, just slightly behind India and Aus, with England way way above at 1 striking at 100. This may also be due to the fact that Pakistan probably dont have to chase as much as other teams because the bowling first up is so good. Not sure how I'd verify that though.

Well written, very timely too. Although will probably fall on deaf ears & will be hated/shrugged off by certain people.
