It would be minor miracle if Pakistan do not bat again and maybe a bigger one if most of the main batsmen not get a chance to bat in the second innings.

So Hafeez would like to sign off on a high.

How much will he score?

Big question is will he get guard of honor

idk about bat of honor, but they should give him retirement of honor, that once you took it, no taking it back.... other wise a bat of honor with holes in it would also do...

A mediocre score would do just fine, mirroring hai overall trst career.

Befitting to the class will be a DUCK. If I can recall correctly, Bradman & Imran's last Test inning was 0, Sober's last International innings was 0, Gavaskar's last FC innings was 0, and probably JB Hobbs left cricket with a 0 as well. MoHa deserves an elite company as such.

For the sake of few good memories a Not Out in a win & just move on , ps he has to play no5-6 in LOIs

TBH, I said zero because I feel that's the best he can do.

I'd not open with him, let him come lower order and bash the spinners if possible. However I'd pefer Pak to get NZ under 100 and not have to chase anything.

Two heartbreaks in a series are too much for me to handle.

I hope he remains not out in his last innings. Atleast gets to score a 50. He may have been selfish but he always tried his best .

Taking into full consideration the facets of the game that he is blessed with, as well as the alignment of the moon, stars and planets, I conclude that the Professor will produce 14 graceful runs off a period of 25 vigorous deliveries. Sure there will be singles, perhaps even a double, and dot balls, but the two cover drive boundaries that the Professor will grace us fans with will be stuff of legends. The third boundary shall be off of an inside edge, very close to the castle the Professor will most honorably defend, off of the tyrant quick that is Tim Southee. Alas, the innings of prosperity shall end in a most courageous attempt to pull a short delivery off of the swing demon that is Trent Boult in which the man, the myth, the legend shall lose his solid grip of the blade he wields in the follow-through of the pull shot and dismantle the castle that is his stumps. Thus, shall end the illustrious career of Mohammad Hafeez.

Guys don't trash me, I'm bored :P. What I'm trying to say is I predict Hafeez will make 14(25) with three boundaries (2 cover drives, and one off of an inside edge) and will get hit wicket in the end :hafeez.

I'd not open with him, let him come lower order and bash the spinners if possible.

Hi mate. I understand that it's your last innings and that we're only chasing 30 runs, but I'd rather you bat in the middle-order against the spinners :tahir2

An unlikely epic farewell.

40- followed by, “I want to thank management, captain, friends, family, my gardener for convincing me to keep going for another year or so” :hafeez

Wouldn't be surprised if he scored big and our media call for him to come out of retirement for the SA series.

This is a meaningless and joke of a retirement. Hafeez should have been dropped from all formats long ago. He doesn't deserve to wear green Pakistani jersey. Now when he knew that he will be dropped from test ,he has announced retirement from test. How funny! Shoib Malik retired in tests after double ton. What Hafeez scored in last 10 test innings apart from that fluke 100 on phatta wicket? Why he is so shameless to continue in other two formats. He won't get chance in any international side except Zimbabwe(perhaps) . G
Throw this clown out from the team forever .

Hafeez to play match winning knock and retiring on a high in style

Time of Hafeez's final hurrah approaching fast

Guess I should have had more choices in the poll!

But that's it for Hafeez.

A good career from a useful test cricketer comes to an end. At his best, Hafeez was one of our match-winners in Asia.

Better than Bradman last score. What a legend. Prove his worth in his last innings too. #MissYouProfessor
