India's next test assignment is at home, and that too against the fearless England cricket team. The series will be played between 25 Jan - 11 March.

India is likely to prepare a spin-friendly pitch, and rightly so, as they can prepare any pitch that they want to prepare.

I do feel this Indian team is beatable, like not too different from the team in the 2012 series, as most of the players are either old or too new to international cricket, and the turning wicket can backfire like in the Pune 2017 Test match. Most importantly, does England have any quality spinners that can trouble the Indian batting line-up?

England's spin attack is relatively new, so I don't know what good they are. My prediction is that England will win at least one Test or one is going to be drawn.

I'm predicting 3-1 to India.

4-1 India wwe circus from big 3 rinse & repeat produce rank turners get easy wtc points get in the final get thrashed again.

As Rohit Sharma already said about Indian pitches ' keep their mouths shut' while talking about matches being played on Indian soil.

Also won at Newlands on the fast, bounciest pitch ever recorded. So theres that .

I suppose you want India to take a leaf out of Rawalpindi pitch and allow England 500 + in 75 overs to make it a watchable contest.

5-0 India. If they are lucky, they might win or draw 1 test.

These English players can't handle our spinners. Ashwin, Jadeja, Axar will rip through their batting lineup.
No Bazball, only spin ball. Rohit, Iyer, Gill, and KL are too good on Indian pitches.

Indian spinners will rip through the English batting lineup. I think it will be India 3, England 2 because the BazBall won't work on Indian wickets.

England turned things around in Test format ever since Baz and Stokes took over.

I expect them to be a bit more competitive than last time. But, India should still win the series 3-0 or 3-1.

Excited to see how Bazball plays out, but knowing India it's likely to be a 5-0 or 4-0 win

Whatever happens, it won't be as bad as the 3-0 shellacking they dishes out to Pakistan in Pakistan and Lanka in Lanka last time.

India have to prepare very carefully for this series.

Also, BCCI have to be ruthless and not allow England 6-7 ball changes per innings that Jimmy and co. try to sneak through every innings till they get a favourable to rock to bowl with.

Make it as hostile as possible from pitches to appealing to everything else.

5-0 India, fakeball will be exposed. India doesn't even need to make rank turners. Even Shardul can dismantle the batting lineup comprised of glorified t20 players.

5-0 in favor for India for sure

India becomes on a super beast mode specially while playing in home conditions

I think England will surprise all of us .they can win one ir two test . Dharmshala test will suit for England

4-1 to India. Ashwin, Jadeja, Axar will take bucketful wickets and score the runs with the hat as well (Indian batting in spin pitches is not good).

So basically Ashwin, Jadeja, Axar 4 - 1 Bazball

I think it will be 4-1 India that too if England gets lucky else I am seeing a whitewash. England team is down and out and they have been recently bashed in white ball format by the Windies.

Sunil Gavaskar wrote in his column saying:

“The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was spot on when he said after the quick finish in the second Test that he doesn’t mind playing on pitches like the one dished out there as it’s a challenge to play on surfaces different from home,"

"He (Rohit) also said that please don’t start questioning the pitch when the ball starts turning on Day One in India. Of course, he is asking for the impossible because as we have seen ever since India became a power in the sport and rightfully began to assert itself in the ICC boardrooms, there has been a concerted effort to denigrate it by those from the Old Powers. They arrive with an agenda and come what may, will dish out stories for getting the brownie points at home,"

4-1 to India. But England could surprise everyone and win 2 tests.

Bazball is a mental game as well, scare the opposition into making silly mistakes.

Whatever be the result, this is Test cricket and I'll enjoy it to my heart's content. And no, we haven't won it before the series has even started. Unexpected results do happen. England defeated us at home in 2012/13.

It’s an interesting one. Aside from the 2012 tour when England had Cook in god mode and a returning KP, most England tours of India are characterised by English batsmen cluelessly poking around against the spinners and getting bowled out cheaply. England usually lose 3-1 or 4-0.

England will play aggressively this time, which I think on this tour is fine, because playing cautiously in the past has not worked for them in India. So England will either get rolled as usual, or they might score big. Either way, they’ve not really lost any net ground on their previous displays.

Also because of the way England play, unless there is some shocking weather on the cards there won’t be any draws this time.

I’m going to say 3-2 to India, who will win in the end… but it wouldn’t even be a terrible result for England imo, if they could win two Tests.

3-2 or 4-1 India

One thing is for sure. Because of Bazball, no draw, no boring cricket. England will either implode or bamboozle India, will be a fun series either way.

It's tough to see anything but an India win. Everyone can sing and dance about Bazball but try playing your shots against Ashwin & Jadeja on a Day 3 Rajkot pitch and we'll see how you do.

After the pitches served up in Suoth Africa, India will be especially emboldened to give the curators some 'guidance' on the pitches...especially the early ones. Expect square turn by lunch on Day 1 in Hyderabad. By the time, they get to Dharamsala where they actually have a chance, England will be thoroughly disintegrated and a few big names will be thinking about retirement. 5-0 most likely. 4-1 at a stretch. First couple of games done in 3 days.

Shreyas should feast as should Rohit & Virat. They should include Pujara. He just had a daddy double hundred. 243*(356) against a decent bowling attack including Shahbaaz Nadeem. His 17th in First class apparently.

If England can win three four toss like last time then they can beat India in india .

The issue is that the have almost no quality spin. Jack Leach and a couple of guys I've never heard of. Shoaib Bashir has played 6 first class matches and Tom Hartley's played 20 with a First Class average of 36.57. They could get lucky like you say but it would take a lot for them to win more than a test.
