The first year of the 20 decade has been different to any in history. Never before have people been dicated to in a global fashion.

Please predict any events in which may take place by 2030.

1. Global economic collapse, leading to the beginning of end of paper money, to be replaced by digital currencies.

2. Petrodollar collapses, leaving US desperate to hang onto it's superpower status.

3. Another pandemic but much larger which will kill young and healthy people too.

4. India will go to war with Pakistan but reteart when nukes are deployed.

5. Imran Khan will still be PM coming to an end of his 3rd term. PPP/PMLN will be near finished with another party emerging to challenge PTI.

6. UK willl become much poorer with little to no spending on public, many will look to leave for new pastures.

7. Hezbollah rockets will rain down on Israel after it attacks Lebanon again, this time destroying many towns in the pariah state.

8. Another intifada will lead to damage of the temple mount/Al-Aqsa.

9. New powerful drugs will cause addcitions around the world.

10. Saudi Arabia will be in a civil war, the Hajj will be abandoned.

11. Robots will be used by most people, from housework, to entertainment to war.

12. Huge natural disastor which will hundreds of thousands.

13. Liverpool will win their 25th League title on the year 2030 and Man Utd will be taken over by the Chinese. :klopp

i thought who'd be here to check this in 10 years, then i realised i've been on this site for ten years. i predict i will still be on this forum in ten years.

9. has been happening for the past 15 years with the pain killer epidemic in the developed world.

ill leave a few bumpable predictions for the next 10 years.

1. the latter middle half of the twenties will be a period of immense global wealth growth as pent up savings from the this and the next year feed into the economy in 2022 as increased trade barriers lead to companies monopolising industries in the american and Chinese spheres of influence. this is likely to increase likelihood of credit events such as 2008 by the late 2020s, but this time it may western or chinese, and either would have huge ramifications for the global economy.

2. this wealth will lead to increased global income inequality, however general living standards of the poor will improve, just by not as much proportionally as the richest.

3. european policy makers will walk a tightrope and try to balance restraining russian infuence without pushing it too far into chinas sphere of influence. this will be the most likely cause of random proxy wars breaking out.

OP has to include the Israel and India. I don’t know about India, but Arab oil economy will be history and they will have neither money power nor the smarts to take on Israel.

Of course, two states run by religous extremists.

Arab dictators are not enemies but friends of Israel.

What is your prediction for India in the next 9 years?

As for predictions:

Pakistan:

PMLN will be done and dusted or be a rump party like MQM, PPP will still hang on but there will be no real successor to Imran Khan
Economy will get better as CPEC will start to reap benefits

India will be reaping the consequences of their Nazi in charge

Middle East:

Saudis will face some sort internal strife as a lot of their religious conservatives are not happy with MBS even now as it is
Palestinian issue might see some solution after Netanyahu leaves, with Arab recognition in place I can't see the next Israeli leader as right-wing
Fate of Hezbollah will be dependent on what position Iran and Syria (Asaad led) are in, I can see the Americans pressing Lebanon to recognise Israel leading to internal Lebanese civil strife in turn keeping Hezbollah busy dealing with domestic disruption

Internationally: China will start to rival the US when it comes to military. Their economy is already projected to overtake the US' by 2024

The UK will be suffering after the silly Brexit move, the NHS already on the verge and receiving no long term government support will probably be privatised to some degree by the Tories

I think it might totally collapse and be replaced with private hospitals, health insurance similar to US.

Bilawal will be the PM of Pakistan.

I think Bilo will have left Pakistan by then as Pak will be taking every stolen penny from his family.

The resident delusional posters writing funeral speeches for PMLN and PPP need to worry about PTI.

PMLN and PPP will always survive because they are political dynasties with support at grassroots level.

The Bhutto and Sharif family will live on for generations to come.

People criticize family politics but that is what keeps parties intact in the long run.

PTI is a fake party with no succession plan. It will cease to exist after Imran is gone. He is the glue holding it together. PTI will survive as long as he is alive but not beyond that.

It is a fake party with a narcissist leader at the top and a bunch of opportunist, turncoat politicians below him who have jumped on the PTI bandwagon for personal interests.

After Imran, these turncoat opportunists will be absorbed back by the same parties that they left or they will break away to form new parties.

Imran will not recover a penny from Bhutto and Nawaz clan. He made tall claims about recouping looted wealth but he has not lived up to it and he is unlikely to do so in the future.

But I hope Imran can at least recoup the black money from his friends who funded his election campaign.

Bilo will run back to Boozy Suzzy in the UK but others will be behind bars eating Dhal, after a few weeks will give back the stolen loot in order to go back to the Pind and their goats.

They will walk out of jail without paying a penny after making a deal with Imran’s bosses.

That is what Nawaz did. King Bajwa allowed him to leave jail and relax in London in exchange for his party signing on the Army Amendment Act so that King Bajwa can sit on his throne past retirement age.

Nawaz had unexpected heart issues, it was mercy by IK to let him go for treatment, better than him being some sort of modern martyr. Zardari is now ill too, soon Maryam will have pains and Bilo later so he can go the UK for alcohol medicine.

Besides 4 year olds speak better Urdu than Bilo.

By 2030 what are your predictions on India - Pak relations?

Only positive thing in the OP and that too only if you're a liverpool fan...

Any positive things that can happen in 2030s?

Please I am dying to know don't want all that doom and gloom

Imran allowed him to be shifted to a hospital in Lahore temporarily but it was Bajwa who stabbed Imran in the back for personal gain and signed a deal with his party behind Imran’s back which allowed Nawaz to leave for London without paying a penny.

My prediction for Pakistan-India relationship is that nothing will change. Pakistan will still be dominated by its military who will keep interfering in Kashmir to maintain their stronghold the politics and economy of the country.

India would also keep supporting proxies in Balochistan as well as Afghanistan to get back at Pakistan.

For the record, the poster voted for PTI/IK, and has now switched to PPP.

Turncoat in every sense of the word.

I think this decade will be the worst for the world in living memory. WW3 nuclear war is also an outside bet.

Positives - Pakistan to be a stronger power, leader of many Muslim nations with poverty falling by huge amounts.

More species of animals to be found, recently a new worm with no lungs was discovered.

Steven Gerrard will manage Liverpool to a League and Champions league double. :)

Of course, two states run by religous extremists.

Arab dictators are not enemies but friends of Israel.

What is your prediction for India in the next 9 years?

India will be the same overpopulated hell hole with a much bigger economy.

The oil market will collapse as the market switches to electric cars. However aircraft and shipping will rely on oil. Gulf oil states will be switching to solar and manufacture batteries.

Climate change will advance with desertification and more frequent and destructive cyclones and anticyclones.

Scotland will leave the UK and join the EU. Ireland will reunify. England & Wales will be in EEA but not the EU.

More and more jobs will be replaced by AI.

China will be #1 economic power. India will pass Japan to be #3.

1. Quantum computing with AI will usher a new era of automation.
2. NASA/Space x will create first settlement on Mars
3. World will figure out hydrogen economy and nuclear fusion.
4. Third world will remain third world with exception of Vietnam.
5. Populist leaders right wing or socialists will take over, capitalism will face its biggest threat from free loaders that would prefer ordering food eventhough not having a job.
6.India will turn a leaf and become moderate compared to this decade, same with Pak.
7. More people will become vegans.

respect to all the vegans I know I cant do it...

Over-qualified Indian doctors and dentists will be working gas stations and care homes in order to get naturalisation in the UK. We British will offer good wages to those who do the hard labour as against those who portend to offer skills we taught them ourselves.

India: After Modi retires, BJP will find it hard to remain in power. But not before destroying India's economy and social harmony.

Pakistan will become a colony of China after not being able to pay off the debt. The Chinese will treat all religions equally in this naya Pakistan.

I think 2 is very optimistic. There might be a Moonbase, but Mars is too far and too difficult. There is an outside chance of a manned landing, just possibly.

I think there will be a louder call across the NHS for Indian clinicians post-Brexit. The Indian government will require more work visas issued as part of a trade deal.

Asian Doctors/Clinicians have been working in the NHS before UK joined the EU.

Ask yourself why wouldn't a doctor/clinician from EU continue working in the UK? Do you think Brexit means EU citizens are banned or something? Or perhaps the clinicians cannot endure a 15 min check for a VISA, like every professional from around the world wanting to work and live in the UK?

@thread - EU will be finished by 2030.

Your a cheerful old soul.

The only thing certain is that despite your humiliation at the hands of the mafia, you will be desperately worshipping them. And also PDM will give IK until Jan 30 to leave office or otherwise, Billo and Maryam will let off an "atomic bomb"

I also hope Ughyirs get justice. I have seen some really awful videos going around online from some mosques being used as alcohol and party venues to a video showing Chinese men laughing drunk to showing Chinese men inside a Ughyir home with a Muslim woman (this policy btw is accepted by the Chinese government where Chinese men are placed in houses where the husbands are jailed and the Muslim wives are alone with their kids).

The “Pair Up and Become Family” program is one of several repressive policies targeting Uyghurs in the region, which have also seen the build out of a vast network of camps, where authorities have held up to 1.5 million Uyghurs and other Muslim ethnic minorities accused of harboring “strong religious views” and “politically incorrect” ideas since April 2017.

RFA’s Uyghur Service recently spoke about the program with a ruling Communist Party cadre in Kashgar (in Chinese, Kashi) prefecture’s Yengisar (Yingjisha) county, who said that 70 to 80 families in the township he oversees have Chinese, mostly male, “relatives” that stay for up to six days at each household—many of which have male family members in detention.

“The ‘relatives’ come to visit us here every two months … they stay with their paired relatives day and night,” he said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

“They help [the families] with their ideology, bringing new ideas. They talk to them about life, during which time they develop feelings for one another.”

In addition to working and eating together, over the course of the week that they spend with their Uyghur hosts the officials even sleep in the same bed as family members, the cadre said, particularly during the winter.

“Normally one or two people sleep in one bed, and if the weather is cold, three people sleep together,” he said.

Its an absolute shame Pakistan has to rely on China and if anything our future is more like we will have to rely on China year by year. The world hasn't done anything on the Palestinian issue or the Kashmir issue or Yemen (and the list goes on), deep down they won't do anything on this either as China will be a superpower soon if they aren't one as it is.

Well, that’s easy - because they have lost FOM, and have been made to feel unwelcome by the rise in xenophobia.

Not sure how many have left to date but a year ago 22,000 had left, and there was a 91% drop in applications from the EU.

As the NHS is currently 30,000 nurses under strength, and we don’t train enough clinicians in this country, so we will have to import the shortfall from outside the EU.

NHS is facing a lot of shortages especially doctors and especially NOW. Due to COVID there are a lot of wards being shut down as hospitals have no resources and face being overwhelmed due to so many new Corona cases. My wife's hospital alone saw 100s of cases within days and so many wards there were shut down and a lot of people were facing delays with treatments for other diseases. Which is why, as I explained in the other thread, they are making it easier for a lot of doctors from Asian nations to come and work in the UK by lowering salary demands than they are now or by virtue of medical jobs being listed in the occupation shortage category.

There aren't many doctors from EU HOWEVER there are thousands of British students in the EU studying Medicine, all of whom would come back to the UK but ofcourse will now face extra barriers due to Brexit despite the fact they're British but they did their degree in Europe. I know this as I have a lot of friends studying in Europe and on top of this they all have to do English Tests such as IELTS DESPITE being British. My brother did that as well despite being raised in the UK and living here for decades but only doing the degree in the EU, despite the degree being in English. The system is completely baffling.

http://www.pakpassion.net/ppforum/s...uropean-Union-Post-13&p=11011540#post11011540

You're absolutely correct that the UK does need to train more doctors but the problem is they haven't organised more University places nor have they properly planned how to train more British doctors so we will continue seeing more shortages.

This isn't aimed at you Robert, more at the people spouting bigotry. There is so much xenophobia and a lot of people have so much misinformation, it is completely baffling. And especially people from Asian background who's parents themselves used to hear the same racist nonsense from the likes of the National Front back in the 70s are using the same nonsense against Europeans. The same Europeans who like our parents are from poor countries trying to make a life for themselves and their families back home.

I will never be against immigration whether be it from white or brown countries. Had it not been for immigration myself included and a lot of other people would have had very different lives.

Poor ickle EU citizens. They've lost FOM, and will never return? Just goes to show you what they think of UK. No to mention the racism non EU immigrants have been subjected to.

If EU citizens feel unwelcome because democracy prevailed, then they can stay in Nazi EU.

Don't worry though, I suspecte they'll be back, when UK's economy is on the up.

Should be a pretty exciting decade. Some things to look forward from a Science and Technology perspective.

1- Mars will inch ever closer to being a reality. We might see first experimental missions being launched to the planet. A moon base might also become a reality and if not in the 20's, it won't be far off. It's fairly easy to do. Nevertheless, repeated mission to the moon will be a common sight in the 20's.

2- Quantum Computers will begin to outperform classical ones on more and more problems. Quantum Supremacy will be well and truly established.

This is the one I am most excited about, because I am currently doing research in the field, but moslty because of the promise of Quantum Computation at cracking some problems in fundamental physics and maths. The idea is very simple, to use actual quantum physics to simulate quantum physics. But even beyond that QC is going to revolutionize modern society. From security, communication,
to medicine, complex chemistry, areas like material science etc. And this is from the applications we can think of at the moment. Who knows what else is possible. Think of where we are with classical computation in comparison with what it was initially envisioned for.

3- Classical computation will change as well, we are reaching the end of the line with silicon as it is. I don't know how mature photonics will get but that is an active area of research and to me probably the most exciting. Probably a mixture of photonics and silicon based electronics will be the first step and then we can move to pure photonics. We should see the former definitely in the later half of the decade. Photonics doesn't just hold immense promise here, it is one of the implementations of QC as well along with a host of other applications. So, a lot of research is being done here.

4- James Webb like Hubble before it, will see deeper still into the universe and by extension into the past as well. It should answer some pretty cool open questions in astrophysics and pose some new ones. We might be able to detect atmospheres on explanets far away for the first time.

5- Gravitational Wave Astronomy is going to open up a whole new way of observing the univese. Light can easily be blocked, but gravity is very hard to block. We will be able to look further back on time to the very early universe and also see events that we simply couldn't with regular astronomy.

6- AI will become more and more integrated into the society and will really begin to show its hand. Already with Alpha Fold 2 we are seeing amazing benefits.

7- The consequences of Climate Change will be more evident that ever. This will get a lot worse before it gets better, if it ever does get better that is. But there is hope that we will be able to avoid irreversible damage.

And no, Israel will not be bombarded, EU will not fall and there won't the classic conspiracy disaster say a dark planet collision, mass earthquakes and the likes.

Google and FB will be broken up into mini corporations.
Globalism will create economic collapse in some parts of the world
The corona virus, unfortunately won’t ever go away but we will get used to it and there will be better vaccines/treatments available for it
We might see an even deadlier pandemic hit us before 2030.
The world will continue to oscillate between a digital obsession and resistance to a few conglomerates dictating every aspect of your life using the digital medium... who wins will eventually shape the future of our generations.
The AI threat is very real as Musk says and we may see it’s dangers manifest themselves sooner rather than later

Interesting post. 4 and 5 especially sound very interesting.

Here are some of the things I expect to happen:

1. Commercial drones may become more and more mainstream.

2. Self-driven cars may start to be used more and more.

3. 3-D printers may become cheaper and more mainstream.

Thanks for this enlightening post.

If the UK is putting barriers up against British Erasmus medical students, that would suggest to me an incentive for said students to stay in the EY rather than return to the UK.

What scares me is how vulnerable our society is to hard right takeover. Our unwritten constitution has been safeguarded down the decades by people who are basically good eggs, even the Churchills and Thatchers whom you might not like but at least had regard for the rule of law. Now we have people in charge who are, well, to put it bluntly - sociopaths. They have no regard for convention and see law as an impedence to their ambition. And the people are easily fooled by them, because our state education is so poor that we don't really have a grasp of history and philisophy and why this country thinks and acts as it does.

Watch to see more and more groups be labelled Enemies of the People -the judges, the lawyers, Marcus Rashford, social workers, Sir Lewis Hamilton, any person of colour who makes an 'uppity' comment.

We need political change urgently. PR would be a huge positive step. But I fear we will lose the Scots soon and that will mean this hard right hegemony remains for a long time to come.

1. This will not be bi-polar world - i.e. means either China or US will be declined. I don't know who, but we will be uni-polar again.
2. There will be no major wars. Wars are expensive, and world's economy is in doldrum, any major war is highly unlikely.
3. Kashmir issue will be resolved with LOC becoming International Border. Blame will be pinned to Imran on Pakistan side and India will hail Modi.
4. BJP will win 2024 and Amit Shah will be PM.
5. Expansion of UNSC - at least two more members - Dont know who.
6. Turkey will throw away Erdogan, to regain the lost decade of 2020.
7. UK's power will diminish significantly, and Germany will be the most powerful country in Europe.
8. India will become the second country to land on mars.

Yup you're completely right. As for Erasmus the program has been STOPPED. Which is a massive loss, I know a few German graduates who wanted to come to the UK and were in the process of their registration but abandoned it after Brexit. I think within our lifetimes we will see the UK renter the EU, this right wing nonsense will be a thing of the past once these dinosaurs are elected and people see that they really do nothing for the common man. Trump is an example, Boris will be too, Modi is the same in India and even people like Netanyahu will be booted out eventually. How much damage they do before they leave is debatable however.

Your a cheerful old soul.

These are predictions, not what I want to see but what I think may happen. Please feel free to give some input or your own predictions.

Take a look at this from the world economic forum, 8 preditctions by 2030.

The world is in for a surprise in 2030 , I cannot disclose it here , its tough to digest for many.

I don’t think it will be on the up. I think it will suffer a slow puncture and fall behind the G7. Already the fishermen are complaining that they cannot sell their catch, trucks are being held up at the ports and EU orders from the UK are down due to customs delays. The port of Rosslare is enjoying a tenfold trade boost as the Brexit-buster ferries take the trucks around the UK land bridge, avoiding customs checks. More trade for Rosslare, less for Pembroke and Fishguard.
