I expect total lockdown and forced curfew in Britain now since royal family is affected.

A Clarence House spokesman says the Prince of Wales has tested positive for COVID-19 and has "been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health" adding the Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested but does not have the virus

Prince Charles 'not contagious until 13 March'

Royal doctors advise that Prince Charles would not have been contagious up until 13 March - a day after his last public engagement.

They are working on presumably his symptoms, the date he has taken the test and their understanding of where he is now in the virus' path.

We are waiting to see if there will be further statements or broadcasts from the Royal Family.

Our understanding is that the Queen will speak to the nation - only extraordinary circumstances prompt that and this is exactly that circumstance.

But the feeling is that the palace does not want any message from the Royal Family to get in the way of the more urgent messages from the government.

Any broadcast will be fairly carefully timed.

I am worried how many people was he contact with after that and what about the ripple effect?

Oh blimey. Of course the future King is going to get the best care possible, but it means that HM the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh (both well into their nineties) have been exposed.

We could have King William V soon.

Prince Charles is at Balmoral and HM is at Buckingham Palace and they have not seen each other in tweo weeks, so HM should be OK. That is a relief.

You can bow down to him when if he becomes King.

But can you explain why Charlie boy recieved a test after showing mild symptoms but others aren't? I thought we live in a democracy, all are equal but no we dont, do we?

Private medicine, I guess. When I had BUPA cover I was happy to queue-jump to get a couple of procedures.

The Queen has not met Prime Minister Boris Johnson in more than two weeks and remains in good health, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

Mr Johnson announced on Friday that he had tested positive for Covid-19 after developing minor symptoms.

A spokesman said the 93-year-old monarch last met the prime minister on 11 March.

The news comes just days after it was announced that the Prince of Wales - who is the Queen's eldest son and first in line to the throne - had also tested positive for the virus after suffering minor symptoms.

Both Prince Charles, 73, and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall are now self-isolating at Balmoral.

The Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation, following his diagnosis of coronavirus.

Prince Charles, 71, spent seven days self-isolating in Scotland after testing positive and displaying mild symptoms.

His wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, 72, was also tested and did not have the virus, but also began self-isolating.

A Palace official said the prince was in good health and was following the government's restrictions.

"Clarence House has confirmed today that, having consulted with his doctor, the Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation," a spokesman said.

Prince Charles spent his seven days of quarantine at his Birkhall home on the royal Balmoral estate.

Buckingham Palace previously said the Queen last saw her son, the heir to the throne, on 12 March, and was "in good health".

It comes as six further people with the virus in Scotland have died, taking the total to 47. The total number of people who have died with the virus in the UK has reached 1,228.

Among those to have died is Amged El-Hawrani, a 55-year-old ear, nose and throat consultant at Queen's Hospital Burton. Last week, an organ transplant consultant died after testing positive for the virus.

Some 20,000 former NHS staff have returned to work to help deal with the outbreak coronavirus, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said, adding the country would get through the crisis "together".

The prime minister - who became the first world leader to announce he had the virus - has continued to lead the country's response to the pandemic, carrying out meetings over video link while self-isolating in his Downing Street flat.

On Monday, a No 10 source confirmed Dominic Cummings, his chief adviser, has developed symptoms of the virus and was self-isolating at home.

In other developments:

Northern Ireland has become the first country in the UK to order the early release of prisoners due to the virus. Up to 200 inmates nearing the end of their sentences will be let out. The Scottish government is considering similar measures, while in England and Wales a range of options, including early release and the transfer of prisoners to other sites, is being explored

The boss of the UK's largest regional airline, Loganair, has said his firm plans to ask for government help to get through the pandemic
Meanwhile, thousands of EasyJet and Virgin staff, are being offered work in the new NHS Nightingale Hospital, which is being set up at the ExCel Centre in east London. The chief nursing officer for England, Ruth May, said around 100 cabin crew have expressed an interest

This right here is the crux of the matter.

While the public are spun lies of vaccine, if you go private, you skip the queue, skip the vaccine, and skip C19.

The reality is we are not all equal in society.

Nope. We are all equal, just some are more equal than others.

One of the greatest lines from classic fiction, so might as well use it where applicable. :19:

sorry don't buy it, how can he be out of isolation if he had the virus, I thought the average virus shedding time was 20 days, remember how long they kept those people on the cruise ships in isolation.

Neither do I believe Boris Johnson or Hancock have the virus, convenient excuse for them to hide away and attract sympathy instead of being asked about their mishandling of it. Of course if they all come out of isolation after 7 days having recovered the public will start questioning the lockdown.

Your second para answer your first.

There is no death ensuing virus. It's flu season for heavens sake!

Nope, seen enough evidence that it is a death sentence for some people including healthy ones, just as flu is. However, do not believe anything in msm around this as they have their own agendas and all govts and so called public health bodies have lied and peddled misinformation so do not believe anything they say including Chinese govt, CCP, WHO, British govt, PHE, Sadiq Khan etc

Don't want to speculate, but you already know that none of these British VIPs are in any serious danger. Prince Charles is 71, yet was anyone ever seriously worried he was in a life threatening situation? Or Boris for that matter.

So you dont believe the media?

The evidence you have seen is circumstancial , not empirical . Most people who died had a weak immune system due to other underlying health issues.

Arent the government advising over 70's to self isolate for 12 weeks? Why not Charlie boy? Does he have parties to attend?

You know the game, one rule for us, one rule for others, and the lefty tree-huggers claiming we are all equal. When asked, silence.

It's all a facade.

Hence why there have been absolutely no over 70s suffering with coronavirus other than Charles in the last week of course...
