Provide one wonder tip that can turn PCB into Cricket Australia

To turn the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) into something like Cricket Australia, one big tip would be to invest a lot in grassroots cricket development. This means building strong cricket programs at the junior and club levels, finding and helping young talent from a young age. Here’s how:

1. Set Up Cricket Academies Everywhere: Create top-notch training facilities across Pakistan, with good coaches and support staff who can give quality training and guidance.

2. Clear Pathways for Talent: Make sure there are clear steps for players to move from school cricket to club cricket and then to domestic and national teams. Have regular tournaments, scouting programs, and keep track of players' performances.

3. Focus on Education and Skills: Teach not only the technical parts of the game but also focus on fitness, sports science, and modern cricket techniques. This will help young players get ready for international matches.
By building a strong base at the grassroots level, the PCB can create a steady flow of talented players, just like Cricket Australia, and ensure long-term success in international cricket.

Outsource PCB to England/Australia so only their legislation/policy applies, meaning Pakistan politics/corrupts are not involved.

One of England/Australia get % of finances/shared as a result. Benefit for Pakistan as we are under their authority, autonomy, audit and rules.

Mitchell Marsh, a batting all-rounder, is selected solely as a specialist batter, while Cameron Green, also a batting all-rounder, must deliver with both bat and ball to retain his spot. This disparity shows that Cricket Australia is mirroring Pakistan Cricket Board's history of nepotism

During an interview with a sports media outlet, Michael Clarke discussed the secret behind Australia’s success in every ICC tournament:

"I think Australia looks forward to the big moments, the big tournaments. A lot of people ask, why do we win World Cups or major events. The only thing I can sort of put it down to is, I think we probably don’t fear losing as much as we are excited about trying to win. You make decisions throughout a game where sometimes you can have the fear of it not working or you can have the fear of one decision costing your team the game. But I think I was always willing to risk losing to try and win. I loved winning. I accepted that sometimes you’re going to lose. But I don’t think that fear of losing was in the front of my mind."

They used to be called BCCP if im not wrong. Then mimicked Australian cricket board (ACB) and changed their name to PCB. But soon after they did that ACB themselves changed their names to Cricket Australia (CA).

Jo bacha kucha hai woh bhi dhubany ka irada hai 😅
How so? I'd make it clear that no one gets selected until

A) they play all formats, FC, List A and T20, Bowlers especially since I can't have bowlers who start panting after bowling 10 overs.

B) would curate pitches to be balanced or would simply moved everything including psl to uae.

C) psl and leagues would not be a selection criteria. Just an entertainment league.

D) I'd closesly watch every player and not just stats. Players like rizwam, Usman Khan etc players with techincal issues would never be allowed in the team no matter how well they perform in List A

E) No batsmen get selected for tests unless they avg 40+ in FC, Avg 40+ and 95Sr or higher in List A, and sr of 140+ and atleast a 30 Avg in t20.

F) Openers would play as openers, Everyone would play at their designated no in internationals that they had in domestics. No more promoting non openers as openers and have openers bat at 3 or 4.

G) Pacers must bowl at 140+ plain and simple. No more 120 losers unless you're a batting allrounder.

^^ If no criteria is met, then i go coach carter on their bums and simply ban any international cricket from being played until and unless these criteria are met.

People are just thinking about how PCB can reach CA level. However, it's easier to drag CA to PCB level which will also satisfy OP's point.

So, just send Misbah and Rizbabar to Australia and mission accomplished.

Given how big the difference is between Pakistan and Australia in management, I would advise sitting at the Karachi beach hoping for a bottle to wash up and you releasing the jinn to get that wish.

Entice Aussie men to settle in Pakistan , marry local women and procreate. Next generation genetics may be better :inti

Cricket Australia indeed is insulated from change of players, officials and coach. But still it is the best performing cricket board in the world.

In contrast, PCB is not even a poor man's Cricket Australia board. So what one advice as a cricket enthusiast or expert you will like to submit? To pull PCB out of their current infamy.
The responses to your question from a large number of people is why Pakistan as a country has been a mess for 75 years.

Kick Player A out
Don't let anyone speak to Player B
Kick Person C out.

As a nation, Pakistanees just don't seem to get that personalities don't matter and its the system which produces and sustains Cricket (or anything else) in the long run, yes you get extraordinary individuals from time to time but in order to fix Cricket (or anything else in Pakistan) the systems need to be overhauled.

To start with, reform PCB on professional lines and get someone who is able to run it.

Change the legal structure of the PCB such that Govt involvement becomes Illegal. A board of directors with reps from the 7 largest cricketing associations and 2 independent directors. They elect a chairman who appoints a CEO who brings in a management team. A proper FC season gets put in place that cannot be changed for 5 years and following that will require unanimous approval of board to change (so that it’s not easy).

I’m not a lawyer but I’m sure there must be a legal corporate structure in Pakistan where this is possible.

Then wait 5 years. Maybe we get there.

Not many cricket boards can match Australian professionalism, ruthlessness, and self-accountability.

I remember Australia dropped Steve Waugh from ODI after just one bad series (2002 tri-series involving SA, NZ, and AUS).

For PCB or any other board to match it, they have to focus on factors like self-accountability, low corruption, ethics, no political interference, good system to nurture players etc.

It is not just one thing. It has to be a combination of many things.

Remove PM as PCB patron and instead allow constitutionally elected leadership through a bottom-up approach, decentralizing power.

There should be no political appointee in the PCB system. Every guy who gets named should have a controversy-free career. Appoint professionals instead of people brought in by power...PM should say bye bye to his patron post. No link to any politics...

improve
school cricket
Club cricket
FC cricket

and , stop political appointment as PCB chairman

The country itself has to be cleaned.

Say no to nepotism and elect deserving leaders from top to bottom , rest will take care of itself.

The biggest parchi of the system to have someone like Azam khan play a WT20 sidelining other deserving players.

Rightly so they got embarrassed losing to USA

I must say that I am really impressed by this Australian side...got razed to the ground in Sri Lanka but still get to SF and out with a proper fight.

Remove the stupid Patron rule and make PCB independent. Have elections to select chairman and give him 4 years tenure. It is not that difficult.

That’s not why they dropped him, it was age and his skills were going down after 2000.
They do this with every player
