Talat surely will be selected. So let's look at the other options.

1. Kamran- Overall great tournament. Clutch knock in a knock out stage. Absolutely terrible final performance. Fitness not great, competition with Sarfraz for wicketkeeper spot. On the older side.

2. Farhan- Hardly played, good knock in final. Good overall LOI record, young. Looks a little raw. While I'm sure he's better than what he looked today, he didn't altogether look to impressive despite getting runs.

3. Maqsood- Decent tournament, one great knock. Some international experience, good domestic record. Wasn't amazing in the PSL, merely good.

4. Asif Ali- Great tournament for him. Very poor domestic record. Fairly inexperienced. Would he be an option in ODIs too, or just T20s? Without doubt the best hitter in the PSL this season.

Which one would you pick for the ODI/T20 squads?

Kamran > Asif Ali >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Farhan > Maqsood

Same here. The only two that should get a shot in the national colors. Keep asif for t20s for now, and get Hussain in both formats. The rest of the finds this season are all too raw in comparison

Ice cool Asif deserves a go in the middle order of our T20 side and eventually ODI side if he performs.

Agha Salman

Sohail Akhtar

Hussein Talat

Asif Ali

Shahibzada Farhan

Fakhar Zaman
Sahibzada Farhan
Babar Azam
Hussain Talat
Asif Ali
Sarfaraz Ahmad (WK)
Faheem Ashraf
M Nawaz
Shadab Khan
Amir
Hassan

Salman Agha
Shoaib Malik
Yasir Shah
Umaid Asif
Wahab Riaz
Mukhtar Ahmad

I would have this as my 16 man squad

The way Asif hit those sixes (not for the first time BTW), none of our seniors(Hafeez, Malik, Sarfraz, Harris) can hit, you need people like Asif and Faheem, who can hit 20 runs over against pace at back end of the innings, to take the score to 330-350 plus if conditions are Phatta tracks... These seniors have no capability what so ever, there is no point of taking all of them to WC, we need to trim the fat, that too right now, so that guys like Talat, Asif and Faheem has matches under their belt...

Imagine we had Sharjeel and Fakhir at top and Asif and Faheem at back end. Well people could start fearing that line up. In CT, they only fear one guy, Fakhir, we could through 2 more for now :)

Talat and Asif Ali for sure. Farhan needs another year of seasoning. I can see why Inzi has not selected him. Needs work on his power hitting as he seem to be exerting a lot of energy to play the big shots.

Kami with that drop all but ended his small chance for a recall. Poor Kami :)))

Asif's domestic record is nothing to write home about but may be PSL is what he needed to announce himself. I was in favor of him being selected in T20s but now also want him to be in ODI team ... we need power hitting against pace in the top order and he should be tried as opener in both ODIs & T20s.

This!

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Asif is ready
Hasan Talat, also, probably
Farhat is too raw, not ready for international cricket yet.
