PSL 2018 Match 14: Peshawar Zalmi breeze to ten-wicket victory as Lahore Qalandars remain win-less

Another shambolic performance from the qalandaris. Top to bottom, the whole team is flawed. Seriously feeling it for fawad rana, the guy has so much passion and has to deal with this embarrasment season after season

LQ should get rid of over aggressive Bmac. He doesn't seem to understand the Pakistani limitations, this isn't the NZ team or BBL.

He was responsible for 2015 WC final also. Such a big match , he played a rash shot first up , should have understood the occassion.

He hasn't changed the losing combination for the past 2 years and also meddles with the team selection. Passion is all well and good if you have a professional set up otherwise he can constantly give us his crying "passionate" moustache close ups for the next 5 years.

What a contrast from yesterday's nail biter - this game is indeed great leveler.

PSL's standard though remains at the same spot where it was yesterday.

Yeah, just remembered that. He got lucky with actual professional players with the NZ and BBL teams before but he has just one approach and does not know how to adjust according to the situation at all. He's just a mildly more successful Afridi mostly due to the teams he has had.

I think best thing Lahore can do is to drop the talent guy and change captaincy.

There are 5 teams competing for the trophy. LQ is there to make up the numbers... Had they won some games, the table would've been immensely close.

LQ's biggest problem seems to be the nice guy Rana - he is too soft. These players are paid in crores and seems like they hardly bothers what's going around.

Today in Soccer day, but CI tells some of the LQ top order needs deshi style 3rd degree treatment.

Tamim Iqbal is like a PSL stalwart

With a whirlwind strike rate of 110 :))

Agreed mate. All players need to be accountable for such a disaster. Rana needs to toughen up on these players.

Are they leaving tonight?

tomorrow morning

At least he didn't play like Selfie at a 75 SR only to throw it away in a similar situation.

Tamim is a much more matured player these days. He could have won them the last game too if he didnt misjudge the run.

He had a few good knocks these season and helped his side win. Last season didnt play much. In 2016 he singlehandedly launched his side into semis before leaving for duty. Was also the highest run scorer in the group stages. He isn't a T20 batsman but he plays within his limit.

If PSL final is after 18 then tamim might rejoin(given his team qualifies).

Tamim has been the most improved BD (even SC) player of late. Problem is you guys don't have anyone apart from him and Mahmadullah in your LOI team. Shakib (mostly his bowling) and Mushfiqur haven't been so consistent of late. I think in LOIs it was Mashrafes captaincy that inspired above their level of late. The less said about their pace bowling bar Mustafizur (Who is still regaining his mojo but is too injury prone for my liking) the better. BD of late have been Pak Lite which they were before and have regressed significantly of late.

What he said made a lot of sense actually.

How? Swing is movement in the air and more common than seam movement. Seam is when the ball deviates after pitching and is by far the most difficult thing to face as a batsman since it happens so late and often unpredictably. And how can you get used to seam when seaming pitches are pretty rare whereas a new ball always swings.

And the quote doesn't lend enough context. He was basically saying swing is very rare and something you hardly see these days whereas seam and pace is very common and batsmen are used to it.

What he said was that as openers you tend to prepare for fast bowlers who are quite quick and then there comes a medium pacer who swings the ball and it's hard to actually get used to them.

One of the reasons why a batsmen like Sachin had problems with a bowler like Cronje. Sometimes you aren't mentally prepared for something so different.

Then I don't see why he won't make it back. He will love to go BD

Mushy and shakib have been pretty good if you check the performance. The thing is our youngsters need to step up.

2 rubbish games yesterday. Didn't miss much. Hoping for a close game today with an IU win.
