PSL 2018 Match 27: Peshawar Zalmi thrash Karachi Kings by 44 runs to keep qualification hopes alive

Good innings from Babar.

Ingram, Morgan and Denly are the culprits. One of them had to score a 50 for KK to have a chance.

Babar needs to be more intelligent while hitting. There was no long off. He coyld have again hit there.

When hitting Babar should always look to time it rather then slog across the line.

I actually felt Babar was determined to get the job done today. But the top order already lost the game for KK in the first 7-8 overs and then he just said screw it. Plus he knows he isn't good at hitting spin so he didn't know whether the risk was worth it.

Simmons should not have been dropped after scoring awesome 50 in only his 2nd PSL match  Finally Karachi had the correct openers in Danley and Simmons and they changed it again

This is why Rizwan is useless as a finisher. He is too weak to hit.

Karachi are a rubbish team. Serves em right for playing ttfs and not selecting more local young talent. Mohammed Irfan emerging really? Guy looks 30.

Losing by 50 runs is a massive thumping in T20. Must dent their NRR big time.

Riaz has been the best bowler in this years PSL for me. I wonder why he can't do this in international cricket. Sprays it all around and goes at over 6 RPO consistently.

I would like Karachi and Peshawar to qualify for playoffs. Multan has ****** me by continuing to select Ahmed Shehzad as an opener.

Dwayne Smith is super fat. He tried to dive and catch, but his belly weight is too much and crashed to the ground before the ball could reach his hands :))

He's good in T20 I's. It's in ODI cricket where he's a run machine.

he should only play T20s and then he will be good. But Pakistan also select him for ODIs and as a result he fails in T20Is too.

Babar has been a massive disappointment in the last 8 months

Not impactful in CT, not impactful against NZ. In BPL he was just bad and PSL he batting at a sluggish pace.

He should be more aggressive

The first half of the tournament was played on bowling friendly pitches, that helped him, and also he's bowled a lot of yorkers with pace and he also gets some reverse swing in the death overs, he has the highest percentage of yorkers in his bowling varieties this year, so definitely he's been hard to get away. But yeah, he's been good in all three seasons.

Selfish,he was not even trying.

Waiting for threads to be open such as "Include Kami right now in team"...:yk

Idk what else Babar could have done. The innings completely lost momentum and the target was out of his reach.

People are too critical.

Same folks are calling Rizwan the worst bat in Pak., even though he has a serious back injury.

Karachi may miss playoffs if they lose last game and Peshawar win last game

he is very much like Tendulkar; his personal score will be good but his team will lose the match

Tendulkar was one of the biggest match winners in his prime and one of the most aggressive LOI batsmen ever. Some people. SMH

According to PP experts Usman was “shown his place” last match. The same PP experts think Irfan is the best thing since sliced bread.
People hype Usman like he's the next Hasan, he's nothing more than a decent backup bowler. Not really a standout prospect.

Ok. Standout prospects are like Irfan Jr right?
Potentially, yes. Bowlers like Shaheen, Ehtisham etc. they've got pace and skill. Usman comes onto the batsman quicker than they think, but can't swing it back in and doesn't get much bounce (Bounce is equally as hard as playing swing). He's light years ahead of of Junaid, though.
