PSL 2018 Match 29: Kamran Akmal's stunning hundred takes Peshawar Zalmi to PSL 2018 playoffs

Kami is still a great player of the cut shot. Much better than junior or Babar

Kakmal cramping up after playing for two consecutive days, he didn't even keep yesterday after his knock.

:))):))):))):))) Kami's response no no no I am fit. Its just he wasn't drinking water as even with water the brothers gain weight:yk

Kami wasted his talent... he always was a spectacular batsman.

Good to see three Pakistani batsmen in the top run getters

Kamran had the talent and ability. It's a shame he didn't improve his game and become more consistent. He shouldn't be selected for international cricket anymore. He failed to take his last chance versus West Indies last year .

But is there anyone who has put his hand up to take that opening slot with Fakhar.

Agreed.

He was never consistent and if he would have given up Wking, could have concentrated on his batting more perhaps? I hope this doesn't mean he's going to get a recall into the national team.

I dont mind Sahibzada Farhan to take the opening slot without playing or doing much in PSL as Faheem is a big example of recent find outside the PSL. But I doubt thats gonna happen

Lol! Bro thats bcz of the slower balls dragging down the average

What I mean is that the average speed of guys like Amir, Hasan, Wahab and Sohail khan in the PSL seems to be significantly higher than their average speed in the international matches. Which could mean that the speed guns used aren't calibrated well enough.

LQ are dropping everything :))

They really don't want their Punjabi brethren Multan to qualify :sammy

There's enough talent. Saud, Nauman,Shazbinda,Ahsan Ali.

He has enough chances .

Saud isnt an opener I guess atleast havent been doing it recently. The only guy who deserves a chance based upon domestic performance is Farhan as I have mentioned in my previous post

They just have to ball 4 overs so they push hard. You can see that in T20s against Srl, Amir was bowling mid 140s regulary and in tests he was really down on pace

Saud is a touch player . He would be better of playing in the top 3 in LO than batting 4 or below.

Kamran performs in domestic than fails at international level. Why repeat that cycle lol?

PP Experts... player hits a Six becomes the best, one player hits a 50 or a good knock people ask for his inclusion in national team.:misbah3

Now wait for all the Kami lovers coming out of their holes and asking for his inclusion. Comon guys, keep doing the same thing and expecting different results?

Well bowlers like abbot and mcleneghan are struggling to go past 132 kph .
Infact if anything the speeds are lower in the UAE .
Seen the likes of Archer , Tymal mills bowl .

People say Ajmal Jr is more of a talent than Akmal Sr. But in reality Kami paaji has achieved more than chotu could ever achieve. Even with a big belly Kami paaji is out shining the chotu.

Is it just me or Saad Nasim has really improved?

In T20s you need a fast playing player at the top for one day one can accept a touch player

Lol T20s is for experimenting players . Only Pakistan take it so seriously. Inzi will probably select Kamran but I wouldn't . Don't understand why your even considering his slection.

Karachi can still lose out. Wouldn't this be great to see Karachi getting knocked OuT. "Hum tu dooba hain sanam tumhain bhi le doobein ge..."

Hands down to Kami, great innings under pressure when it was do or die for PZ

If Saud is as good as you guys say then Pakistan really is spoilt for riches when it comes to batting in the near future.

Sharjeel (when he returns)
Saud (if he is like his hype)
Fakhar
Babar
Haris
Talat
Shadab

So you mean he should be told that you are unselectable so no need to score centuries and try to impress

Yes I agree that one can experiment in T20s

Such a poor and embarrassing league in which on the last day of matches only the number one and number 6 spots are confirmed and 2,3,4 and 5 are still open.

Great run chase. Peshawar is now favorite to win this if Tamim Iqbal comes back to the squad and replace Wessels.

Lahore should get more lahori guys in the side .
K.Akmal , Talat , Gohar , Riaz are all doing well for other franchises.

Clutch knock by Kamran.

Whats with LQ's obsession for short bowling tonight? PZ batsmen have smoked them to all corners.

He has failed time after time. Why give him another chance ? It will be wasted. Pakistan doesn't play enough games to waste game time on TTFs.

Australia ditched George Bailey even though he was one of the best in Australia because they knew he was too old and need to back the youth.

I always stress the fact that a player who has had years of exposure to international cricket and professional coaching staff but failed over and over again, should be under lot more scrutiny and must perform exceptionally well and on consistent basis in the domestic to be reconsidered.

You can't simply compare domestic performances of a player with decades of international experience to an upcoming newbie player who only has limited resources and coaching advice.

It's like going back to primary school and taking the math test after you have been to college and failed to pass the calculus course over and over again. Of course you are going perform well in the primary school math test despite having failed in calculus for years.

You mean around 6, 7 players below 21. So basically play the U19 team

Results ll be seen after couple of t20 series and then you can inject those players in ODIs and Tests. Thats called planing.

Agrred bro. But definitely the way Kami plays in PSL creates confusion for the selectors

Zalmi might end up as 2nd team, and KK missing out. MS is at -0.19, KK at -0.12; my hunch is if KK loses by 13/14 runs or inside 10 balls (at hand), they are out to MS.

Valid points

Unfortunately we can't really find out how good Saud is. Going by QG management he isn't good enough to replace Asad Shafiq as an opener. So let's keep our expectations low.

You are very close... the commies announced the equation is if KK lose by 15 runs or 2 overs then they are out.

Excellent post.I agree!

It would be better to say that inject youngsters, almost 7 players below 21 years of age is a bit too much. Where are so many deserving U21 players? Can you name few?

Shaheen Afridi outbowled Mcglaneghan and Abbot in terms of economy. Good signs

Now Inzi will select Kamran even he had so many failures in International matches

You are confusing the quality to competitiveness.. Poor teams can be competitive too.. look at the world cup qualifiers and matches before that.. Two equally matched teams can produce good competitive match, even if they have poor quality players, like Nepal did in the last few weeks..

Just logged in to catch some cricket.. Wow Kamran is back.. do you guys think he will be back in National team? didn't see his innings so I don't know how good it was.. just commenting based on CI scoreboard..

checked the CI stats.. Kamran is the leading scorer!!! Wow.. Hafeez in top ten.... Oldies galore.. good for them.. will they be back? how well did these guys actually play?

You can see some are already available after the PSL3. So its ok to try players who are past their expiry date and still lose rather than trying young players in a T20 format?
