PSL 2018 Match 4: Dominant Peshawar Zalmi defeat abject Islamabad United by 34 runs

Looks like a bit of a character also, can become a cult hero in Pakistan and maybe in the county circuit also

Asghar is a really highly rated spinner, had figures of 1 for 18 in 4 in the last match. You might see him making his debut for Pakistan test team

PSL is a blessing and we should leave it to that. It has a lot of work to do to compete on the same star attraction level as the IPL

IPL teams won't be playing Bopara and Patel in their sides. Players like Root are struggling to get a contract

Rana is such a good find..... the only player we can really credit Inzi for his selection. He was no where before Inzi picked him. The rest of Inzi's selections have been those that performed in PSL or were related to him.

Bopara did play IPL though.


PSL will never be given a window like IPL so it will be difficult to attract the same stars.

PCB need to find a better window for the tournament. February is leaving PSL owners with retired cricketers and discarded cricketers.

We need AB, Duplessi, Miller, guptill taylor.

To teach our youngsters how to bat.

Well we will get there soon. Hats off to Sethi he has done a remarkable job with PSL. Never expected from him.

I was surprised when he wasnt selected for PSL 2. He was pretty impressive in QAE trophy that year and Salman Butt who was in the opposition praised him
 
Jordan's strongest suit is probably Test cricket, because his biggest strength is slip catching :(
 
The bowling machines don't seem to be properly calibrated..... Can't believe Riaz would be clocking mid 130s

Like Duminy who will join IU in their third match, miller was also available but not sure why he didnt make it to the draft.

The players you are asking for qould require a separate window which is only available to IPL
 
Islamabad was let down by the youngsters in batting. They looked average players and nothing special. Batting is a major concern even in PSL for us. Not using Andre 1 down what is going here.
 
Final will be between Zalmi and Multan

Its just one match, I guess it would be too fast to conclude that they are average players

Youngsters are not backed much actually - PSL is promoting average foreigners & seniors. In IPL, it's must not be due to lack of batting resources that Samson, Pant, Kishen.... are batting in top 3, and this year I am sure Gill will do so.
 
I guess IU needs to drop Patel and play Samuel Badree. Already too much batting, Faheem batting 7 down

Islamabad needs Misbah to replace Asif and Farhan to come in for Ronchi. Also drop Sami for Butt which will never happen.

Can we stop comparing indian players with pakistan. India is a great ODI team and we are no match to their skills or talent. But we need to improve if we are to challenge ourself in WC next yr. Kohli is a great example to follow for future Indian batsmen. We dont have any batsmen of his calibre.

Asif needs to be give few more games and if not then Farhan should replace him. Ronchi is one hell of a player and talent, you will see over the course of the tournament

Compared to Ifti? Yes but talent like Ifti doesn’t get dropped and Farhan has got to come in. Only possible way is to either drop Ronchi down the order and take out Asif (Misbah in for Asif) or take Ronchi out.

I’ve seen Ronchi play and he can hit but he is getting old so that might have affected his ability to hit pacers off the start. Best method for Islu would be to drop Ifti and Asif and bring down Ronchi to 5 and Farhan to the top.

Pandya on his day can be a beast he reminds me of Razzaq when he is on song. IPL is a big brand with star players once we have that quality you will see faheem doing same to them soon.👍
