Maddy boy!!

We need to groom him for our national team!

Darren Sammy is the best leader who has proven his leadership credentials in PSL and for WI.

Although unproven I think Imad is the best Pakistani captain.

Sarfraz Ahmed
Daren Sammy
Imad Wasim
Mohammad Hafeez
Shoaib Malik
Mohammad Sami

In that order, haven’t see Sami as captain so he is quite unfortunate in my rankings, but Sarfraz is definitely the best out of the lot

Darren Sammy is better due to being more proven but Sarfaraz is a good captain in T20s.

Mohammad Sami- eh, decent domestic record, no idea how his captaincy is

Imad Wasim- exciting prospect for international captaincy, didn't get to see too much of it in PSL3
unfortunately due to injury.

Mohammad Hafeez- experienced player with solid record, I think he'll do just fine as captain, but nothing amazing

Shoaib Malik- hasn't been the best make shift pakistan LOI captain, but he's proven to be one of the best domestic captains with Sialkot time after time.

Darren Sammy- cool and calm, great strategist, knows how to lead a team

Sarfraz Ahmed- twice has led his team to the finals, has shown his ability with Pakistan

On the issue of captains I'd like to see a rule wherein all captains at the PSL should be Pakistani.

i would rather they make shadab, faheem, talat, asif ali, babar etc captains, and other experienced players their vc's and groom them on the job in psl... not necessarily to make them captains in intl setup, but rather to sharpen their thinking and game understanding skills... it benefits alot when ur players are game aware...

Shoaib Malik iz best and senceble captin and have good cricketing mind.......
And also best winnig avg in the history of Pakistan cricket....

How dissapointing.Apart from Imad not one captain is a yongster.

They need to groom youngsters for captaincy and this is an ideal platform.

I believe LQ will win the tournament this year under Hafeez. He should have been one of the captains from the inception of PSL, lucky that he got it now. Let’s see

Imad was impressive last year for us in the few games he captained. All eyes will be on maddy.

I agree, and ideally someone young too so that they could captain Pakistan at some point in the future.

Looking forward to see Imad Wasim captain

Well it will be interesting to see who will do well this season. May be Hafeez?

Qalandar have the best captain :hafeez

What made you come to this conclusion? I want him in the World Cup ODI team(I believe he will do well down the order at 6 or 7) but never as a Captain. I sometime wonder if PP people are real aficionado of cricket or just blind fan but with Hafeez leading the voting for best captain I get that people vote with emotion and not with any logic.

Darren Sammy. An amazing T20 captain who gives his players the most confidence to succeed.

Tough between Sammy and Sarfraz. One is 2 times WT20 winner and other brought his team team back from shambles of 2016 World T20 disaster to 11 series wins on the trot and no 1 ranking. In PSL too both are top captains, one is 2 time finalist and other won 1 tournament.

Others are far far behind. Funny to see Imad Wasim and Hafeez being called better than them.

Tactically Hafeez is the best around.

Sammy is a true leader/inspiration

But really hope Imad does well as the national team might need his services after the world cup.

El Professor has the experience but can he inspire LQ to get to the top?

Hafeez was very poor when i saw him leading Pakistan in world t20.

Plus in domestics too.

Bas naam ka he professor hai.

The most interesting one to watch will be Imad Wasim. If he leads well and gels with Arthur we might see him take up the reigns from Sarfaraz after the World Cup of the Limited Over teams. I'm not arguing if thats right or wrong, just my observation.

Also interested to see how long Sammy can keep things going. His teams seems to love him and play hard for him.

Just as a league interest: I think Hafeez is the one to keep an eye on. His international career is pretty much on his last legs. This is his only avenue left to leave a big mark. I'm interested to see how he leads, especially as a LQ supporter. It's time we had some success too.

So Sami's first win - seems to have got a lucky break with Asif Ali and Faheem playing blinders.

That was a disappointing team picked by Lahore. Their bowling is not up to the mark.

Should've picked Viljoen, Haris Sohail and Hassan Khan instead of Brathwaite, Haris Rauf and Yasir Shah.

Rubbish captaincy by Hafeez. First he bowled Brathwaite ahead of Harris and then was scared to bring Harris back at the death because he got hit for a six despite him being known to be a good death bowler.

Then at the presentation he goes and throws Shaheen under the bus "Shaheen couldn't perform up to expectations today unfortunately"

Ilyas playing his first game... 9 overs in, Malik hasn't thought it worthwhile to give him an over despite KK going at 9+/over.

Malik please quit the captaincy

Wow wow wow, you are playing the worst team in the league, actually score 200 and they need 70 off 30 with tailenders left to bat and you ball a legspinner for 0 reason when you have Dan Christian to bat.

Also when the bowlers are being taken apart, all he does is shake is head but no communication. Such a horrible thing to watch. Sad that such a good captain has come to this, as he was brilliant in 2007 and now horrible.

Credit to Sami's captaincy.

The guy has been fantastic.

That wicket that Musa picked of malan, he bowled there on purpose, and Sami had a fielder right at that position.

THen Sami also bowled Musa 3 oves up front as he knew he was youngster and couldn;t risk bowling 2 overs from him at the end.

Used Faheem Ashraf at the right time.

Sami has shown to be a fantastic captain with his field set ups.

Sarfraz has been fantastic aswell.

Fawad Ahmed was tonked for runs, but Sarfraz calculatively removed him and as Kamran Akmal got out, he bought back Fawad Ahmed in immediately to finish his overs.

Sami leading from the front so cant be faulted.

Selfless by Sarfraz to send up the order today as he didnt have a chance to bat much in this tourney so far and didnt have good form.

PSL showing who the best captain is in Pakistan...

Sarfraz > Imad > Sami > Malik

Lahore is probably going to have Fakhar as captain.

That shall be something interesting now.

I'm yet to see any real innovation or anything that I was impressed with from any of the captains.

The tactics have been standard and rather ordinary.

Sarfaraz got his bowling changes wrong against KK.

His trump card was Sohail Tanvir and he should have brought him on for his 3rd over sooner than he did.

Not really... Ingram batted inhuman way... mudassir and Nawaz screwed up the game. Tanvir was brought in at right time. One bowler can save when others give 24-22 runs in an over

Shoaib Malik may have batted out of his skin in PSL 4 for his side but as a captain in PSL, not too impressed!

Not sure about the best but Shoaib Malik is worst. He doesn't even know the names of his players.

I think the question should be who is the best captain so far in PSL4?

The answer is the performance of captains in the tournament so far, nothing to do age or pakistan's cricket future captain.

For me Fakhar Zaman has been the best Pakistani captain.

Imad has looked inconsistent. A few his mistakes cost them games.

Imad is v good so far. First season and he is already showing sign of maturity and leadership skills. Next Season he will be more better.

I think Imad is growing as a captain in this league.

Some of the others, the less said the better.

I think this league has shown that Sarfaraz is still the best LOs captain in Pakistan.

Malik is definitely the worst.

Malik should concentrate on playing. Next year the MS captaincy should be given to someone who has a realistic chance of leading Pakistan.

I think we need to groom the new fast bowler battery to be captains of future.

Cant see a batsman coming through for a few years.

Sarfraz on-field captaincy leading the show once again but really annoyed on why Saud hasnt played a single match. Actually more angry why selfish Shezi is getting chances.

Malik is horrendous. Wastes so much time on field settings and earlier in the tournament he was bowling himself in front of front line bowlers.

Really? Should have kept going with Shaheen, he was bowling well.
He replaced Shaheen with Wiese who got Pollard out. At 20/5 it looked good. Have no idea how LQ lost from there, but obviously they didn't have enough runs in the first place.
