What's new

PTI's Sohail Afridi elected new KP CM with 90 votes [Update@ Post#20]

So you kacked your pants. Why dont you explain Why the crooked Nani didn't own the Sehat card because apparently her dad had a picture put on a card🤣🤣🤣
Do you think its ethical for her to do that? Off course you do. You are an immoral piece scum

Economic Growth
And what happened to 2021 and 2022. Do you use a different calendar from the rest of the World? 🤣🥰🥰

And what happened in 23, 24 and 25? Why dont you post those figures and whats going to happen in 26? 🤣🤣🤣

And as far as NS is concerned
So you are asking me about a guy that couldn't win against a women that is ill and in prison.

Let's face it you are running from piller to post but the 7 seats tell you all you need to know.🤣🤣🥰

If your stupid understand how economic growth actually works, that’s not my problem.

Keep living in a fairyland world where you think economies grow overnight with a magic wand.

PML-N inherited near-zero growth in 2024, and it’s already improving, with projections around 3%. Give it a few years and it will return to 6% where PML-N left it in 2018 before Imran Khan damaged the economy.

KP CM arrives in Lahore today for three-day visit

PESHAWAR (Zeeshan Kakakhel) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi arrives in Lahore today (Friday) for a three-day official visit.

During his visit, the KP chief minister is expected to hold meetings with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians at the Punjab Assembly. Sources further revealed that he may also visit Kot Lakhpat Jail to meet party leaders who are currently incarcerated.

The chief minister is also likely to visit the residences of detained PTI leaders as part of his outreach efforts. Several important meetings with senior party figures are planned during his stay in Lahore, aimed at reviewing political developments and strengthening party coordination.

In addition, Suhail Afridi is expected to attend a ceremony at the Lahore High Court. According to sources KP CM may also visit Zaman Park, the residential area of PTI founder Imran Khan, during the trip.

The visit comes amid heightened political activity and is being viewed as significant in terms of party strategy and internal consultations. Further engagements and meetings may be added to the schedule depending on developments during the three-day visit.

So instead of sorting the law and order issue out in kpk , strengthening the police in kpk, he is in lahore .

So instead of sorting the law and order issue out in kpk , strengthening the police in kpk, he is in lahore .

This is precisely why PTI should not be taken seriously as a political force. Their entire politics is built around aggressive rhetoric, street agitation, and a badmashi-style approach that relies on emotional speeches and constant protests to manipulate and mislead the poor awaam. Noise, confrontation, and victimhood are their tools not governance or delivery.

When it comes to actual work on the ground, policy execution, institutional reform, economic management, or long-term planning their performance is virtually non-existent.

This same mindset is clearly reflected in the behaviour of their supporters, including on this forum. Instead of engaging in civil, fact-based discussion, the default response is personal attacks, abusive language, and emotional outbursts. The goal is not debate or understanding, but intimidation and noise.

And whenever they are challenged on facts or asked to stay on the actual topic, they immediately try to derail the discussion introducing unrelated points, or turning the debate into a personal argument. This deliberate distraction is used to avoid accountability and to mask the absence of solid arguments.

In short, PTI’s politics thrives on chaos, not competence. It survives on outrage, not results. And until they move beyond aggression and theatrics toward serious governance and constructive debate, they will continue to expose their own limitations both as a party and through the conduct of their supporters.

KP CM Sohail Afridi visits families of jailed senior PTI leaders in Lahore

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Saturday visited the families of jailed senior PTI leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Dr Yasmin Rashid, who are incarcerated at Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat jail.

On Friday, CM Afridi had spent his first of three days in Lahore greeting and addressing PTI supporters, who met him at different points en route to the city.

On Saturday, he visited the families of jailed PTI leaders as he was not granted permission to meet them Kot Lakhpat jail.

In a post on social media platform X at around 11am on Saturday, PTI’s Naeem Haider Panjutha said Afridi’s “Lahore tour had begun” and they were heading to Qureshi’s house first.

Visuals showed Qureshi’s son Zain and daughter Meher Bano present during the meeting. Addressing the media alongside them, CM Afridi said, “This is my Pakistan, and wherever I go in the entire Pakistan, I do not need a reason for it.”

The chief minister said the aim of his Lahore journey is to meet party leaders. He detailed that the KP government had written to Punjab seeking a time for meeting the imprisoned leaders at Kot Lakhpat Jail, but it “did not respond”.

Afridi mentioned the names of multiple incarcerated leaders he wanted to meet and added, “I also wanted to meet the rest of the leadership and workers, but unfortunately, they did not let me meet.”

He went on to say that the Punjab government’s “attitude since yesterday showed low mentality“.

Asked whether he thought issues with the federal government could be resolved through talks, CM Afridi said PTI founder Imran Khan had given the responsibility for “dialogue or protest“ to the opposition alliance Tehreek-i-Tahafuz-i-Ayin-i-Pakistan (TTAP).

The KP CM said that while the TTAP was “making efforts on its end” and he supported those, he had been directed to prepare for a street movement and he would take “those preparations to their peak”.

The TTAP on Thursday welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent invitation for talks. However, no concrete steps have so far been taken by the government to initiate a formal talks process, and PTI leaders say they are waiting for the government to make the first move.

PM’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has stressed that PM Shehbaz would decide on talks with PTI once the opposition party clarifies its stance on negotiations.

Around 20 minutes later, he posted that the party convoy was on its way to Rashid‘s residence. In a separate post, Panjutha said the PTI leaders would also visit Ejaz Chaudhry’s family, attend high court conventions and “then everyone will take to the streets”.

At 12pm, the PTI’s official X account said the chief minister had met with the family members of Rashid. The party also shared photos from the meeting.

The KP CM also plans to visit the residences of PTI leaders Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed and Hammad Azhar, as well as party activists Sanam Javed and Falak Javed.

In the evening, he will head to the residence of PTI worker Ali Bilal, also known as Zille Shah, who died during a party protest in 2023.

According to Panjutha, the KP CM was not able to visit former governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema’s house as it was located in a cantonment and “permission was not being given to enter”.

Afridi’s convoy had entered Lahore around 4:30pm on Friday, from where he made a beeline for the Punjab Assembly. The visit to the provincial legislature was marred by altercations between members of his entourage and security officials, while several heated exchanges between PTI leaders and journalists were also witnessed.

Although the KP CM managed to reach Liberty Roundabout last night, he was unable to deliver a planned speech at the venue as a heavy contingent of police had blocked all roads leading to the area by setting up pickets.

  2. No matter how many protests you stage, you’re only wasting your own time and everyone else’s. and your not going to be allowed get to shut down an entire city for a pointless cause.

I honestly don’t care. I’ve said it before if I had to choose between a dog and Imran Khan as prime minister, I’d pick the dog. And that won’t change until Imran Khan’s followers learn how to behave. Let’s not forget how all of you ganged up on me just for giving a neutral opinion in favour of suthra punjab and condemning the 9th may riots.

So whatever Nawaz and his team do doesn’t bother me just don't want you idiots in power. For now, the simple fact is this: regardless of politics, they’re moving in the right direction.

They voted in the elections That's what happens in civilised societies. The whole of the Sharif clan got smashed. 7 seats according to the PPP. And if they weren't so worried yesterday, surely they would give the respect of guest. Which is part of our culture, obviously not your jungli family culture. Otherwise you would have understood the disgraceful behaviour.
Even @Major voted for IK. That is slap and a half for you. Unless he is lying. Maybe you can ask him 🤣🤣🤣

In Todays cabinet meetihg and in a memo sent to SS, Afridi asked the Federal govt to pay up the 5 trillion they owe KP.

‘Are you ready?’: KP CM Sohail Afridi says he will visit Karachi on January 9

Days after concluding a three-day visit to Lahore to launch PTI’s street movement, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced on Thursday that he will visit Karachi on January 9.

“Friday, January 9!” the chief minister said on social media platform X. “Karachi, Sindh, are you ready?”

Afridi said he would be coming to Karachi “bearing Imran Khan’s message”, adding that he would be meeting “all friends of the party”.

Afridi had previously announced that Karachi was his next destination for galvanising party supporters.

During his visit to Lahore, the KP CM had attempted to deliver a speech to supporters at Liberty Chowk but was unable to do so as a heavy contingent of police had blocked all roads leading to the area by setting up pickets.

He had also addressed PTI lawmakers at the Punjab Assembly, a visit that was marred by altercations between members of his entourage and security officials, while several heated exchanges between PTI leaders and journalists were also witnessed.

He was also barred from visiting the cantonment to meet party leaders, as well as the food street that had been shut down ahead of his visit. He also went to Zaman Park amid heavy police deployment, while the detention of party supporters during the tour was also reported.

On Monday, he wrote to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to complain about the treatment meted out to him during his visit. He maintained that the Punjab government’s adoption of an extraordinary and excessive security posture — including sweeping detentions and visible enforcement theatrics — was “a message of intimidation rather than cooperation”.

He complained that “such measures were neither proportionate nor warranted and conveyed an intent that went well beyond legitimate security considerations”.

The KP CM was of the view that, “taken together — protocol degradation, excessive policing optics, and synchronised digital vilification — the pattern is too consistent to be dismissed as coincidental”. He termed the conduct “beneath the status of a provincial government” and stressed that it damaged the “collective credibility of federating units”.

Separately, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan said the KP CM’s visit to the provincial assembly would be investigated by the law enforcement agencies in light of the CCTV footage and the initial inquiry report.

Despite all the road blocks, the closures and lights being turned off on food street, Afridi showed Nani that a man of the people, elected by them will always get the love. Love the crooked woman will never get because she has no support.

Not read the article but why would you want speak English when the national language is Urdu?

The language used as a medium in our universities is English. Plus, English is also the official language of Pakistan, as all the govt documentation and notifications are mostly done in English.

Having studied in a Pakistani University, atleast 60% of the students used to struggle and live in this inferiority complex as they had never gone to schools where English was spoken and thus had troubles themselves, when it came to giving presentations, doing assignments, using softwares or even interact in a formal manner.

In our education system, the HEC has maintained some quality at University level, where courses have assignments and presentations in English. Yes, students do resort to Urdu, which only hinders their own growth.

Sohail Afridi made a very stupid statement. He is no one to be telling others what language to speak as the vice chancellor needs to maintain the decorum of the university by communicating in English. No one stopped Afridi what language to use, but his own insecurity got triggered.

Problem is this is the CM of the province.

Appreciate the details, as I've never studied in Pakistan, I wont comment further on the actual practices in the unis.

But when it comes to English being the national language, this is shameful. You can speak English throughout the country but maintain your own language as the only official one. Norway is a good example, everyone speaks English but they will never call it their national language. Maybe the point Afridi was making.

Problem is Urdu is not spoken that much in Pakistan. I think less that 20% of the population speaks urdu in the whole coubtry.

People speak their own regional languages. Pashto in KpK, Punjabi in Punjab, Sindhi in in Sindh.

Urdu is only spoken in karachi, isb/pindi.

Urdu is actually a very difficult language when it comes to writing which is why English was adopted as a co official language so that all the office related work can be done.

Another reason for English existing is because of the commonwealth factor aswell.

Afridi has no say in what language could be adopted in University level, as university comes under the federal govt ministry. He came out rude when he said i had already warned the unis, when it doesnt come under his portfolio.

Funny thing is, any notification his ministry may pass in kpk will have to be in English.

English is a colonial language forced onto the people. If it was chosen by the nation or people, fine but imposed languages should never be official. KP and all provinces use English because again it has been imposed for decades now, hence why many official documents are in English. Heck the British imposed laws on this land which are still in effect today!

Urdu is a beautiful language, a real gem of Pakistan. Its absolutely incredible to listen too, a language of nobles and Royals. I turn on the Urdu news just to listen to it. For this reason alone, it should all spoken by everyone in Pakistan.

But than isnt Urdu being imposed on everyone? Urdu was adopted based on Muslim nationalism, because its a language that was spoken only by muslims that lived in UP.

Right now each region has its language.

Urdu as a spoken language is beautiful, but as a written language it is very difficult.

Not imposed, chosen by Muslims for their new Muslim homeland.

Urdu is far more better than any other language in Pakistan imo, some sound very common as we say in the UK.

But its a language of muslim nationalism.

If in terms of reading, than If you can read urdu and the arabic Quran, a simple cheat is to read abit of Quran e Pak. After that read Urdu novels/newspaper or news ticker anything that interests you. Even if its the urdu news sports page.

As for speaking, listening to news and than speaking freely without judgement with family or friend helps

A grown man standing in a university telling students and professors “don’t speak English, speak Urdu” like he’s the language police. What next he’s going to check uniforms and ring the assembly bell too?

It’s a university, not his drawing room. Students are there to study, communicate, research, present, debate and like it or not, the entire academic system uses English. Every textbook, every medical term, every research paper, every international journal is in English. But Sohail Afridi’s big brain solution is to ban the language? Brilliant. Maybe next he’ll ban Wi-Fi because it wasn’t invented in KP.

And the funniest part? These defenders act like he said something revolutionary. No, he just exposed how clueless he is. Telling university students not to speak English is like telling drivers not to use roads. It’s pure stupidity dressed up as patriotism.

If he wants to speak Urdu all day, that’s his personal choice. But trying to enforce it on others in a university setting is just embarrassing.

He is elected by millions and shows up the crooked Junta and their puppets. Just imagine, speaking to an audience that isnt fearful of you and doesn't expect to be kidnapped afterwards for asking questions. Well you cant because you shameless support a PM and CM that couldn't win their own seats.🤣🤣🤣

Why did Maryam use the Airforce plane to distribute wedding cards for her sons wedding. What kind of shameless, Jungli Supports such crap in 2026 besides you and your ilk.

Just saw the full speech. The guy is a rock star. He has made mince meat of plastic Nani without spending a paisa. On the other hand the Junta and Nani spent billions and nothing to show. 🤣🤣🤣

PS
Gandapur started well, I hope he isnt blackmailed like Gandapur. May Allah protect PKs future. Ameen

Arrives in Karachi and gets a reception that crooked politicians like Billo and Maryam cant even dream about in their wildest dreams. Crooked Nani has spent 15bn and no one cares for her or her pathetic family.

As the 28th Amendment approaches and the PPP has no cards left to play against the Junta that made promises( Billo to become PM), it allows the PTI to come in swathe without obstacles.
When you get nationalised by the Junta for a little power, you become irrelevant. Today both NS and AZ have given away any leave way with the 26th and 27th Amendment and soon 28th will make them as useful as Polar Bear in the Desert.
