One of the best airlines out there. Qatar airport is also an amazing transit.

One of the best airlines i've flown with.

Download their app, you can choose meals on there.

ATG airline, I really took it for granted back when I used to live there.

Both Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines are the best i've flown in.

Once you start living in the US you realize what you had...

My wife and kids are going to be using it for their trip to Pakistan next month. I was supposed to be too, but I'm staying behind.

Back when I was still living in Qatar, there wasn't a Qatar Airways, only Gulf Air, which was jointly owned by the various Gulf sheikhdoms. It looks like all but Bahrain have their own airlines now.

I have flown with Qatar airways and i feel that they are almost same like Etihad and Emirates in terms of standard.Qatar airport is huge though but not as exciting as Abu dhabi or Dubai airport.

Bahrain now owns Gulf Air.

Not too flash flying them now. Your flights will be longer and you can't carry your laptop anymore.

What meals are served from birmingham? Is it lunch? Any meals from Doha to Islamabad and vice versa

Meals are served on both sectors . We flew on their A380 super jumbo and sat on the top deck . One thing I was not impressed with was their In flight meals as I found it boring and not tasty as much as Emirates or Turkish Air .

Turkish airline planes were superb and comfortable the best thing for me was their food was spot on with good selection of fish /chicken or lamb with lovely deserts.

Best Airline out there.

I take it every year to travel to Pakistan. When I used to live in Montreal the route was awesome, Montreal > Doha > Karachi. It was around 18 hours door to door. Now I live in Toronto so I have done the Toronto > Montreal > Doha > Karachi route as well as the Toronto > Chicago > Doha > Karachi.

QA is cheaper than Etihad and Emirates but their service is comparable or some might say even better. Their food is awesome, planes are spacious and hospitality is excellent.

I usually go during off season and flight costs me any where around 1,200 to 1,500 Canadian.

Ofc. Used to fly from Qatar to Karachi all the time, its a 2 hour flight but you still get food. Usually a chicken wrap or fish sandwich. Sometimes a biryani platter.

The best airline in my opinion. As good as the other big two (Emirates/Etihad) but cheaper.

Doha airport is no match for DXB airport though.

A great airline (going by reviews and their profits) but is it not a bit risky flying with them to Pakistan at the moment? Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE and Egypt have already closed their airspace to Qatar and will be lobbying hard for the Pakistanis to do the same. Surely it's unlikely the Pakistanis will agree but as a passenger is it a risk worth taking?
