This shows why Pakistan keeps producing dozens of bowlers who bowl at a speed of 120-135 kph and very few among them are able to suceed at international level while majority vanishes or their performances drop after 2-3 seasons. On the other hand bcz of these conditions which are extremely helpful to bowlers, for a long time Pakistan hasn't produced a Batsman who would have gone to become a world beater and those batsmen who perform in such alien conditions aren't given chances

That's our domestic cricket ladies and gentleman.

The regional teams seem to be like lambs to the slaughter any time they're pitted against a department.

Even more worrying that Imran Farhat was the top scorer in this match too.

I find it more perplexing as to how exactly Shehzad scores 49 runs.

And that too off 39 balls. :shezzy2

Shehzad is a better opener than Shan and Aslam his record says it aswell.

More alarmingly a full FC match ended with 30+34+74 ~ <140 overs, that's before tea of Day 2. I think, I wrote to Abdullah - if they use Dukes balls, some of the matches will end in 2 days.

I am not sure for whom this is most harmful - fast bowlers, batsmen, spinners or WK? Probably batsmen, otherwise no explanation why Shubham Gills are born 100 KM east, despite same gin, same passion, same climate ........

These type of pitches are bad overall for both batsman and the bowlers. this will result in some mediocre bowlers averaging very low and good batsmen ending up with middling averages in domestic cricket. We have these sort of pitches in India too, making Vinay Kumar a legend in domestic circuits. Vinay Kumar has 418 first class wickets at an average of 23.13 and SR of 49.3. These are ridiculous numbers and we all know that he is not that good.

What is a good pitch? Is there anyone in Pakistan who can make one?

Agreed. Shehzad definitely could tackle Broad/Anderson/Woakes in those conditions last year where Sami Aslam made a lot of runs. He definitely doesn't fish outside the off stump either.

On a serious note, Shehzad is probably better than Masood but he is not even half the batsman Aslam is. Aslam most likely hasn't reached his peak yet whereas Shehzad's has come and gone.
