QEA trophy more counterproductive this year?
This QEA trophy is for me counterproductive for pakistani cricket for many reasons which i will try to explain.
1#poor schedule ,the Fc season has been in one of the worst time in the year where there is fog, rain and dew with low temp and most importantly only 70 over are possible in day light mxm 80 overs.

2#Decrease gap in bw the matches with no rest for the wickets and players and the result is obvious from the scorecards.this will deteriorate the technique of the bat and we will produce darters and thundlers .

3#The BPL, the national t20 and t10 league and u know the effect that who is playing in super 8.Where CHEEEMA is dominating the charts.

4#Many have stated that the quality of the balls used have been poor.

5# At the end these TTF will dominate the charts and we will see them playing again for pakistan with no new talent coming up or the current player will continue.

You're being too diplomatic.

This QEA season has been an embarrassment even by our low standards. The scores have been pathetic thanks to underprepared pitches that favour bowlers to such a perverse extent that we are seeing matches that end in four sessions like Lahore Blues vs SNGPL. How are you meant to produce quality cricketers on these minefields ?

Najam Sethi should be bombarded on Twitter and the person running domestic cricket made to answer for this shambles. Or is PSL the only domestic cricket that counts now ?

The curators deserve criticism but I do sympathise with them when PCB rolls out appalling schedules, like they have this year, ensuring pitches are overused and groundstaff don't have sufficient preparation time.

Been the worst QEA Trophy that I can remember.

This year Dr.? You mean, it was productive last year or previous years?

That what i meant to say.
And some here will say we have the best PCB chairman ever.

Two of the most selfish players in Pakistan will lead in the QeA trophy final this year. Yeah counterproductive in this sense atleast.

i think last year was not that bad compared to this one.

Spend some times and check the score cards bro - remember last year top 20-25 PAK players missed almost entire season for ANZ tour and mega important, career defining event like BPL.

Ok will se but here i was going specifically by the scorecards.
By the way how many matches ended in two days last year?

Looking at the the scorecard I wish I was playing in the tournament. Would have ended up getting a couple of 5ers for sure.

Thanks for the explanation.DId that work?

Has to work. That indeed work that time because, in 2 months work, Atkinson converted Dhaka track from 170 par to 270 par wickets (in fact there were 300+ scores in that 2/3 years). But, such wickets need continuous care, which wasn't possible. Besides, our strength was slow darting, hence BCB was also interested to kill the pace of the wickets and make it a 200 par track. Also, we didn't have dedicated cricket stadium, hence every Test venues were shared between cricket & football, which never helps cricket wickets.

At present, BCB's chief groundsman is an Sri Lankan born (Aussie), who is trying to develop a character of BD wickets, but it'll take time. It takes 2/3 years for a track to settle and you have to take proper care of it. Now, Mirpur, Fatullah are dedicated cricket grounds, Chittagong one as well (mostly), so things are getting better.

I don't know why PCB holds such Departmental / Regional Tournaments, as they do not select the best players from these tournaments. No criteria, no eligibility. Even the selectors don't go to watch these matches.

SAAD ALI is the current Highest Runs Scorer in QUAID E AZAM TROPHY 2017-18 but I wish he could get chance in the National Side, either in ODIs or in the TESTS. He bats at No.4 and ideal for selection. It would also give us a RHB-LHB batting combination as well as a fresh-blood. We never had any reasonable Left Hander in the middle order. To me, If selectors are not interested to pick Fawad Alam, then they should atleast pick Saad Ali.. Or Fawad Alam for tests and Saad Ali for ODIs. It can
