Quality of cricket in PSL going down?

OK, a team got bundled out for 59, fine.

But.. how on earth you can have a team of international stars struggle to chase even 59?

How can you have such shocker of bad umpiring decisions like the one today by Aleem Dar, to get Morgan out?

Batsmen are unable to put bat on ball today.

I know people will come up and say "omg it's so exciting", "close match11!!", but this is not T20 cricket.
 
I just tuned in now woah @ the scorecards, what was the wicket like guys? it looks like it was a very close affair
 
This was the most entertaining match bro, the viewership will increase by 10 times.

wrong umpiring decisions? just 1 right? what about the Ind-Eng match?
 
I think each year we should play at least 1 match like this to pay tribute to the bowlers worldwide because they don't get enough games throughout the year.
 
bro srsly ppl like you try to put anything down. Just calm down and enjoy the cricket, I think psl so far has been fantastic

This is what happens when fans like you and young cricket fans in general back hit n miss players like apparently famous t-20 players!!..
You need consistent performers to win you matches no matter what the format is..
So nothing is wrong apart from terrible batsmen..
So in a world of Gayles and Akmals you need a Sarfaraz to win you matches... [MENTION=138254]Syed1[/MENTION]
 
Pitch was fine and a score of 130-140 seemed par.

LQ were just ultra attacking and kept on going for it, hence the low score by them.

As for Zalmi, they started off slowly and were in control, but lost a few wickets and all of a sudden, BMac went all out and created pressure, plus some excellent bowling by Yasir is well.

Lastly, quality has been very good.

People are too negative after that spot fixing issue and suddenly find everything wrong. Probably something psychological.

The pitch was pretty good the first few days the reason we had some 160+ scores. Also the teams more competitive on paper. We should have even better games at Sharjah where the likes of Gayle, BMac will fire.

It all changed with that crappy Morgan decision... While watching it on TV even I was as amazed as Morgan was on that decision it was so clear...
 
it has been fantastic so far thoroughly enjoying watching cricket for me, and worried no match for next 2 days...obviously it wouldn't be fantastic for the fans of UA, SHEHZAD, AFRIDI

Yep, that also played a part, but Yasir was equally excellent is well.

Both him and BMac were fantastic and deserve credit.

2, both against the English players. Seem to be cursed by the umpires as of late :broad.
 
Putch was okay,reckless batting by lahore (like the approach but should calm down a little) and great bowling by lahore (special mention to yasir) helped by great captaincy.
Overall the best match so far
 
Been very exciting PSL so far. Close games and some very close.
Pitch wasn't the best today but still a 130-140 pitch. Lahore went ultra attacking which cost them and then we saw masterclass aggressive captaincy by Mcullum. Showed how dangerous Yasir Shah can be in limited overs if used as attacking option.

And barring todays pitch rest not been as bad. Their been some good bowling and poor batting. Same pitches Rossouw showed how its done where Karachi top order were bundeled over.
Exciting so far. Hoping pitches are touch better then todays but last 2 days pitches were good so can't complain by just today.
Teams have good bowlers and they deserve credit too. With only 5 teams in the PSL the best possible Pakistani players are selected which makes it very competitive. Any of these 5 teams can win the PSL. All depends who as a team gels together well and click at the right time.

Yeah guys, agree can't base it on a single match.

But the pitch and batting quality was amazing only in the first match. Downhill slope since then, and today was the bottom point.

I hope Sharjah is going to be better - great pitch usually for T20s.
 
this psl has had more close and interesting matches than the last one and it is only the beginning.

i am not sure what i am watching as compared to other people :(
 
Are you serious? PSL has been quality thus far. Each match has been played with huge passion. Don't judge the tournament on paper.
 
PSL is quite boring and predictable. Spinner friendly wickets are boring to watch anyways i and so called fast bowlers trundling at 120s is horrible sight to say the least. PSL is full of mediocre and discarded old Pakistani players bhattis tanvirs, hafeez, misbahs, anwars alis etc etc who have no place in the national team , a totally lackluster league.
 
Personally think PSL 2 is not an upgrade on PSL 1, I enjoyed the first one more, but I'll give PSL 2 a chance and give my final verdict after it's finished.

The matches are in the UAE... and the crowd is awful, I don't expect fireworks.
 
Terrible batting and umpiring and above all, no spectators.

Aleem, Dar has changed, not the same great umpire.

The most disappointing aspect for me is empty stadium.

No guys. Crowds have nothing to do with cricket quality.

You have to understand that it's UAE wherei most Paks are working or labor class, and they don't get any days off apart from Thurs Fri. And even then the stadium is miles away.

Crowds in Sharjah would be better.

I partially agree, but when a stadium is full, the players feel the energy and want to give that extra effort.
 
It was an awful game with poor batting and even worse umpiring by dar who gave both malan, morgan wrongly which spiced up the chase.

It is incompetent cricket at its worse made even worse by umpiring.
