So , I need some information about Calgary for my friend. He is working as Manager in a small town in Saskatchewan. He is leaving his job because he wants to move to bigger city because soon his family ( wife and daughter ) are coming to join him.

He got a job offer in a Tim Hortons and will be joining them soon.

Can someone tell me what will be the total montly expenditure for a couple and a daughter ? Like House / Apartment , food , car insurance etc .

Also , how is the weather in winter there ?

Thank You.

Raised in AB (Edmonton which 3 hrs north of Calgary) and been here for close to 25 years now.

Costs depend on your lifestyle but a decent 2 bedroom flat is in $1300 range. Other stuff such as food, insurance, etc depend on personal details so can vary greatly.

Generally speaking, higher pay than ON for comparable positions and cheaper living costs plus mountains are close by. Disposable income is much higher and no PST.
