Nadal cruising as is always the case on clay. Wonder if the King of Clay can finally claim his 10th Roland Garros title, or will the likes of Djokovic and Murray spoil the fun for the Spaniard?

Would definitely be nice to see the likes of Thiem, Raonic, etc. pull off some big upsets.

No Federer and so I have no interest in the tournament

So am i moreover french open is the toughest slam to watch, its so painful every now and then. The crowd, courts, conditions everything

Eagerly looking forward to the Grass court season to start

Can't see anyone stopping Nadal , he is in top form. Though you can never count out Djoko , Murray and Stan. I have been most impressed by Thiem this year with of course Zverev who unfortunately got knocked out very early in the tournament.

Wow, Thiem really thrashed Djokovic. This youngster could prove troublesome for Nadal, who he already beat on clay in Italy.

Wawrinka vs Murray should be a cracker of a match. Stan is in better form however I think Murray may surprise a few people like he did at this stage last year.

As for Rafa, he'll win 3-0 imo.

wawrinka match winning point was amazing, would like to see him play thiem in the final - 2 big hitters on both wings

Nadal fights back after being broken in the first game to make it 3-1. Exciting start.

Ideal final match-up. Nadal likely to be fresher, as Stan played a gruelling five-setter.

Nadal is obviously the favourite, but you can never count out Stan in a Slam final.

Final's today, was totally heart broken when Nadal lost it to Federer in this years Australian open...Hopefully he can bag this one.

Winning a record 10th French Open would certainly mean a lot to him. Expect him to give his 100% in this final.

I would have pegged Stan as the favourite to be honest. Nadal is past his glory years and Wawrinka is in his prime. While there might not be much difference in age, a long career at the top like Nadal tends to take it's toll both mentally and physically. That said, he looks in great touch so far in this tournament.

Didn't expect Rafa to cruise to a straight-sets win, that's for sure.

Nadal absolutely butchered the field. Only a peak Djokovic could have competed with him and I'm not sure Djokvic would have taken more than a set off this Nadal.

First an empathic Indian victory and now my favorite tennis player of all time has won his 10th french open :steyn

Today has been a good day :srini

No one can handle Nadal on clay. Beast.

Well seems a bit of an exagerration when you consider he has been beaten by Djokovic on clay a few times and by Thiem this year already. I'm pretty sure Stan has beaten him before as well on clay.

He's good, very very good on clay, and a mountain of a player at RG, but he's beatable if you go in with the right tactics and are prepared to go long.

I was surprised at how fast he looked. He looked like he was playing much smarter now, instead of running round to his forehand every opportunity he was using his backhand as well, in the end that meant he just ran Wawrinka off the court. He looked like the old Nadal except even better.

Impressive indeed. Should be interesting to see if he can mount a challenge at Wimbledon, where I suppose Roger will probably be the favourite, given his superb form this year.

Current version, you're right.

To be fair only Soderling stopped him in his prime at RG. I mean the man went 9/10 in French Opens during that part of his career.

Could have won last year too without that wrist injury.

Nadal's game isn't really suited to grass but I am really looking forward to seeing what he does anyway. His serving was awesome today and his new tactic of playing closer to the baseline and letting his backhand do the work means he's going to be even harder to move around.

Nadal was soo dominant . ! Where was this guy in the Australian open against federer ?

Does the clay court accentuate all of Nadal's strengths ? Stan broke god knows how many bats in despair ! :)))
