Rain and Cricket World Cups! Some data...

Since everyone was talking about rain and cricket scheduling. I did some digging in the past. We can analyze the data.
One thing i get is WI and Aus are one of the worst place to organize a tournament while subcontinent usually goes without rain delays.

Rain affected: Targets affected by DLS or average rain rule
Abandoned: No result due to rain

1992 was the most rain affected World Cup in the history with 21% of the games affected or abandoned due to rain.

Australia has amazing facilities but almost every tournament there we have rain affected games there.

The greatest beneficiary of the rain in cricket has been Pakistan since they won the 1992 WC on the back of it but now it seems that tables have turned for them.

Cricket is a laughing stock. England have had 2 games washed out (if things stay as they are). Only sport in the world where teams don't play even number of games. A joke. Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Ireland impacted although none of those sides deserve to progress.
