no point comparing spinners to quicks

spinners:
warne
kumble
murali (dont think he'd be allowed to bowl in contemporary cricket)

quicks:
mcgrath
anderson
walsh
broad

No point comparing spinners to pacers

Also list is so threadbare that making a ranking list pointless

+1

There is not much to rank. I will put Murali alongside Warne.

Murali either does not belong in a list or he is right at the very top. There cannot be another way. If you are going to rate Murali, his test, ODI and overall record is simply incomparable to any mortal ever.

Personally speaking, Murali deserves recognition.

How can someone say Murali wickets are illegal. He was tested and allowed to bowl and therefore it meant that all those wickets were legal. A man can only follow the law of time in which he is living/playing. By this logic all those wickets in the unlimited bouncers era are illegal and the wickets taken when the batsmen was not wearing a helmet are illegal as its a huge advantage to a bowler when a batsman knows he cant hook with full conviction as one mistake could even take his life.
Law changes with time but new laws dont make past records void

Murali never chucked. He just gave the illusion of chucking. His natural deformity and Sri Lanka's rise in cricket (also playing the Asian card) during that time ensured that ICC were lenient and hence Murali got cleared.

However, I don't see anyone getting cleared in future from now on. His bowling establishes a wrong impression to youngsters who considered him a role-model.

Great point and fully in agreement brother.

Pacers
1. Mcgrath
2. Walsh
3. Broad
4. Anderson (the guy averages over 30 home & away in ashes. averaged over 80 against the Best ever Aussie side.)

Spinners
1. Warne
2. Murali
3. Kumble

Combined
1. Mcgrath (Ultimate match winner)
2. Warne(Same)
3. Murali(again a match winner)

These three are in different league hence the gap :))

4. Walsh
5. Broad
6. Anderson
7. Kumble

Surprised many picking Kumble and Broad over Anderson.

Broad is better than Anderson. More impact. Generally more versatile too and can do better in some conditions where Anderson would struggle.

McGrath and then the rest.

Could have easily had 600 if his wife did not become sick.

I believe he should be in the top three, but there are very legitmate reasons for Warne/McGrath being ahead of him

No one matches the fitness and longetivity for fast bowlers and spinners other than Walsh,
He didn't missed a test series since from his debut.
