Yes some will say he's a home bully and they have a valid argument but boy he is one man machine on home pitches halfway in his career and seems he could beat Kapil Dev as India's geatest all rounder which is jaw dropping achievement in its own right.

He did get the man of the series award in his last two away series played for his all round performance. So it's not like he's only doing it at home.
However, he is not the outright best. Both him and Ben Stokes are having insane years.
Performance of the all rounders in 2016:
Ravi Ashwin - Bat avg 45.41 (2 tons) Bowl avg 21.77 (59 wkts).
Ben Stokes - Bat avg 51.62 (2 tons) Bowl avg 22.75(32 wkts)
Moeen Ali - Bat avg 44.10 (3 tons)
Bowl avg 46.61 (34 wkts)
Woakes - Bat avg 34.76 Bowl avg 24.28
Ravi Jadeja - Bat avg 37.37 Bowl avg - 27.44
Shakib - Bat avg 26.50 Bowl avg 18.41
It's even more impressive considering Stokes has been very good in asia too. And to top that, he's an outstanding fielder where he beats Ashwin by some distance. Overall though, Stokes and Ashwin are probably the 2 most gifted cricketers in world cricket atm.
