Recommend good halal restaurants in Toronto East. Thanks.

very good place; i have dine in there couple of times at Markham Rd & 14th Avenue.

Can you mention more restaurants?

Pamier Kabob?

Used to go there in the olden times. Have stopped messing with the unhealthy stuff.

Srh, don’t you live in Toronto ?

Whenever I visit I usually go to Cafe D khan, I know it’s not in East Toronto.

Toronto East :danish :danish :danish

Stay away from those parts......

Another Afghani restaurant? What about recommendations for other cuisines?

no I don't live in Toronto. Toronto East is near to me.

There is a good thai place in Milton, I don't know if it's a part of Toronto East, I don't live in Canadistan just visit there every 2 years.

Think it was called Thai Modern or something like that.

I guess in third world United States east and west are reversed because Milton is one of the western most parts of the GTA :))

Milton is quite a bit away from East Toronto.

Went there, it was trash.

Agreed.

Gerrard Street is horrible now.

It was the only Indo-Pak spot in the 70s-80s when my dad lived in Toronto and wasn't too bad during the 90s either. But now it's just garbage to put it lightly.

Sauga boy have you hit up that spot Larri Adda yet?

Not really a fan of Indo-Pak restaurants (can feel my arteries clog up just thinking about it) so haven't been. :))

The last place I went was Kandahar Kabab if that counts.

I live a block away from Gerrard and the street has gotten a new life over the past 2-3 years with the opening of a few cool cafes, art galleries and new restaurants. White people have moved in and desis have moved out.

Agree, I went there couple of months ago after 6 years, looks much better.

There’s another spot in Mississauga, Iranian, East Tea Can, pretty good.

How about the best possible place in GTA for Pakistani style chai, bun kebabs, fries?

Heh. East Toronto, and there are are recommendations for Missisauga and Milton.

Desi Food: Patna, or Bihari Kabab and Biryani house
Burgers: Top Gun
Uyghur: Charcoal Kabab House
Pizza: Pizza La Rosa
Turkish Pizza: Mr. Pide
Broast: Broaster Chicken

Heart checkup: Sunnybrook Hospital (Other hospitals dont have a cath lab)

If you are into halwa puri and nihari you must check out Tabaq in Mississauga (Dundas & Hurontario). It’s so good. FYI, weekend mornings are packed so give yourself some extra time. Food court is small and it can be difficult at times to get a table if you go with family.

I usually go after 2pm when it dies down a bit.

Lol at Uncle I’m in my 20’s. I usually go by myself as I have no family but when did it close down? I was there last year in October or November.

Lol I meant it as a joke....

And I live in North York and used to frequent it, a couple of weeks ago my friends and I went there and it was closed, we found out that the health inspectors canceled their licence. Frankly speaking not surprised. I'm talking about the Tabaq nihari place in that shady mall.

dang so many Ppers from Toronto.

on topic: Try Afgan cuisine restaurant on Overlea blvd and William Morgan dr in East york, Its in same plaza with Bamiyan Kebab. I heard alot about that restaurant. If you want Pakistani food then in East York there is Sunny food mart on Don Mills and Gateway Blvd closer to Ontario science center, there is a restaurant called Shaheen. They are pretty good and try theirs Tawa keema. Its soo good but lil spicy tho.
And if you wanna try Hakka Chinese then again in East York, Thorncliffe Park east and Overlea Blvd (near Iqbal foods) there is place called Hakka Garden. Try their Bombay fish or Lollypop soo good.

In short, must visit East york for lot of good Halal food.

Man i did went thru my Heart check up (Heart stress test) in Sunnybrook. Lovely hospital and very respectful staff. Prolly second best hospital in Toronto (after Toronto General Downtown)

Yup and agreed with the shady mall comment. It was such a ghetto mall.

Sick Kids is the best hospital - I lived there from 2002-2004 for my cancer treatment when I was 12. I got treated like a king. I’ve been to almost every hospital within the Toronto border and nothing beats Sick Kids. Princess Margaret comes second imo.

I have tried Kandahar Kabab in Toronto East at Finch Ave. East and Markham Rd. Good but Bamiyan Kabab is better.

Patna Kabab House at Lawrence East & Warden has the best Bihari Kabab I have tried in Canada. Simply awesome.

I have not tried others you mention. Are they all in Toronto East?

Good to hear that you beat the evil that is cancer. Sick Kids is possibly the best hospital in North America for any pediatric illness. Princess Margaret is the top cancer research hospital in the GTA. St. Michael's or Toronto General are the best for heart disease. Sunnybrook is a decent all round hospital, but a notch below the others when it comes to specialty areas.

Any other great places in Mississauga, Etobicoke?

I have tried Kandahar Kabab in Toronto East at Finch Ave. East and Markham Rd. Good but Bamiyan Kabab is better.

Never been to the Markham location but Bamiyan Kabab in Sauga is way too busy. The one in Malton is spacious though.

Have heard a lot of good things about Laari Adda in Mississauga. Never been there (planning to go soon). Also heard it’s busy and its worth the wait.

Don't even bother with the ones in the east end. So **** compared to the ones in the west end. Overall, isn't even close to what it used to be before all this franchising. Sold the main location too!
