Remarkable as per the article he is ancestor of LUCY, the more I read such articles the more I realize how everyday hurdles, nationalism, religion hardly matter.

Reading such ‘news’ also helps me destress not sure why... childhood effect maybe.

Why Lucy?

Why not Laiba?

This made me crack in the middle of my office here in India. But I can't share it as most of my colleagues are bhakats and won't appreciate the joke on their supreme fascist leader. Too good man :)))

Glad you made sure you let him know about your office in India, take care night shifts are not good for health and good that you have so many colleagues in night shift with you, I hardly had one or two during my evenings shifts years ago.

Ok.. AL 288-1, do you ask your parents why they named you based on the culture? I guess who discovered the fossil named her anyhow from the guy who discovered here :

Ancient specimens don’t always get a name like Lucy. Scientists have unearthed A. afarensis remains in half a dozen locations in Ethiopia and Kenya. But giving Lucy a name may have made her more accessible.

Lucy was named after the Beatles’ song “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.” A huge Beatles fan, Johanson had the whole camp of scientists listening to the band during their archaeological expedition.

When “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” played, inspiration sparked. “Initially I was opposed to giving her a cute little name, but that name stuck,” Johanson told Time.

Or maybe the ones who would attribute such names don’t even believe in evolution, let alone excavate sites.

I would hazard a guess that they also don’t have much of a presence in the field.
