I just wanted some info on how removable cricket pitches, what exactly are these and how much the cost and also do one need to do special preparation to be able to use them properly?

Removable pitches are an alternative to turf pitches, using these u don't need to have groundsmen to look after ur pitches and stuff, u can just place it on the turf kinda like a carpet........ they support both pacers and spinners but not by much.
If u want to play matches on them u can just rent them from ppl for about a few thousand rupees/taka per day

they are foldable turf pitches.You can buy them they come with a stand to easily carry it. It's quite HANDY!!!!!!!

don't know much about football but since its a 22 yard cricket pitch ............ I wud think that it can't be used for football
Also I don't know if u can get it in Switzerland or not

yeah I have used them and I think they're pretty good if u want an okay pitch for an affordable price ............ and in Dhaka its pretty much the only option unless u play for the National/ 1st division level

Lol no I think you didn't understand what I meant. I meant was if we laid down the pitch on a football ground would the removable pitch still work? As in have good consistent bounce and all?

Also do you know a store in UK from which you can order one online to Switzerland?

yeah I think the pitch is supposed to work everywhere....... it will have consistent but not very high bounce.
Im sorry I don't know any shops or sites, but if u look for them Im sure u'll get it

you are right but it's not worth it.The material is not ASTROTURF it's just a flat piece of a material
which's name i dont know!!!!!!!!!!!LOL.
