Pity while the Men's team keeps getting showered with money and gifts every week.

Not sure if after that pathetic performance they deserved any favors, men team would have to face a lot worse if they performed like they did.

Zeshan547 Mens team would have gotten a lot more abuse from the public after performing like that. But whether they performed poorly or not PCB should have at least provided transport.

Nothing short of criminal. It's almost impossible for this to happen. PCB has more employees than sense.

I dont understand how could this be even true.

Where is her kit bag? And she must have took a lugage with her aswell.

Exactly. According to the PCB, the girl in the picture rode back with her father. The rest of team went on a PCB bus to the NCA. People need to chill out.

Surely she should have been wearing a helmet. Even if it was her batting helmet.

So basically it was her own decision.

Now if you dont like seeing a pakistani representative going home in this situation, thats different, but to take ones frusturation by bashing pcb makes no sense.

I didn't even know it was PCBs responsibility to get them back home lol.

Dont think it is.

I remember when misbah came back he had his suv there to pick him up.

I think the problem is that the player went home on the bike. And because people felt guilty seeing this they wanted to blame and take frusturation out on pcb.

Had this female cricketer been travelling on a car(not the one provides by pcb) no one would had cared

That's a terrible way to think of this. If your team doesn't perform you treat them like this, leave em on the streets after they still went out and performed? Do they get the same facilities, coaching, investment as the men's team? Why is it a surprise that Pak women team performs at a lower level vs the rest? Obviously the other countries' have a lower level of misogyny and you don't have renowned and respected sports legends saying things like "there shouldn't be a women's team, they have so much flavor in their hands, they should cook in the kitchen instead". Their cricket boards spend less on themselves and aren't afraid to invest in women's cricket.

Hell you open up facebook on any of the ICC posts about Pak women's cricket and you see similar pathetic posts about loser no life Pakistani men commenting about how they should cover themselves and not play in front of namehram.

How is a women's team suppose to move forward and how are the players going to be of high quality when they are this neglected, and nobody really cares about them.

Am not a fan of women's cricket, but the fact is a team exists, and a lot of these women have dreams, so treatment like this is downright pathetic.

No Sympathies to be honest, women cry and demand about being treated at par with men. We all know what happens when our male team loses the world cup in devastating fashion and these women failed to win a single match. The fact that all that happened to them was that no one came to receive them upon returning home is very polite frankly speaking.

If you want respect and to be taken seriously then you need to go out there and perform and not cry about the PCB not taking you seriously, not pumping resources into women cricket, at the very least you need to show that you deserve to be taken seriously.

If you don't support Women cricket, that's your opinion but you can't compare them to the men's team.
Pakistani women team started playing internationally in 1997 and probably don't have even half the facilities that other teams have. So like I said, Can't really compare their performance to the men's team.

My point was that they make a hue and cry about not being treated fairly, about being under funded e.t.c. and they failed to win a single match for their country and were outclassed in each and every match. Guys get lynched, attacked, abused by fans, media when they underperformed, all that happened here is that no one came to receive them at the airport and that to be honest is fair enough given their performance in the WC compared to other teams.

Yes their complaints about being under funded, not treated well are fair but they should still win atleast one game atleast to make their case strong.

Well yeah they should but look at BD, they didn't win much until 2015 and thats with a lot of support from their board and fans. It isn't easy for a new team to just come in and start beating squads who are well established and have more polished skills. Like with BD , I believe its a matter of time before the Pakistani women team starts winning a few matches.

In a nutshell, yes. Complete non-story.

There are plenty of reasons to criticise the PCB, but this isn't one of them- need to stop looking for drama all the time. Such stories only undermine occasions when there are genuine criticisms of the PCB.

Had they won a single match at the WC perhaps the PCB would have shown them some respect. Lost all 7 matches yet some here believe they are improving.

From the PCB

Lahore June 19: The PCB wishes to clarify that as per the usual practice all logistical arrangements were made for the national women’s team on their arrival from England, Monday June 17. There was a bus ready to take the players to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and from there to their homes if needed.

Officials from the Women’s Wing were present to facilitate the players and management, some of the players though opted to return home through their own transport with their families after seeking due permission from the team manager. The PCB regrets news items in certain sections of print and electronic media that erroneously claimed that there were no arrangements made for players’ return from the airport.

Unfortunately our girls don't have any future and more specifically they don't have it . PCB should dissolve women's team and spend money to fix domestic cricket (improve pitch, quality of field, nurturing promising players, better academic facilities.... and so on) and support squash federation where both men and women have some sort of potential.

Women's cricket is very poor quality, fast bowlers can barely reach 75mph and batsmen struggle to hit it out the square...and Pakistan women's team is the worse of the bunch...so not surprised no fan interest...scrap it for good ....money could be better spent
