Honestly, as soon as I saw that we had won the toss, I had gone back to sleep happy - that's how crucial the toss was here. I'm surprised [MENTION=23911]Moh@n[/MENTION] [MENTION=134789]maddgenius[/MENTION] [MENTION=151892]Thunderbolt14[/MENTION] had any doubts over that strategy - if you look at the games at MU's ground (most of which happened to be on normal anyway), the team batting 2nd has always won. Deterioration doesn't mean jack It was a formula we successfully tried in the round robin and I'm not surprised both teams opted to bowl first here. I thought it was a very obvious strategy.

From there, we followed the same pattern we did last time, i.e. play out the super bowlers and then the lower order can feast on their lower skilled bowlers. Bro honestly all the games are after Fajr time here so it's always tough to stay up for them. I would've still stayed up for the big game but today was my first day back at work after the pandemic so had to be up early.

Nonetheless, this game was so toss dependent that when I saw we won the toss I went back to sleep comfortably

Honestly, as soon as I saw that we had won the toss, I had gone back to sleep happy - that's how crucial the toss was here. I'm surprised [MENTION=23911]Moh@n[/MENTION] [MENTION=134789]maddgenius[/MENTION] [MENTION=151892]Thunderbolt14[/MENTION] had any doubts over that strategy - if you look at the games at MU's ground (most of which happened to be on normal anyway), the team batting 2nd has always won. Deterioration doesn't mean jack It was a formula we successfully tried in the round robin and I'm not surprised both teams opted to bowl first here. I thought it was a very obvious strategy.

Coming back to the game - first of all thanks [MENTION=145503]Mueez[/MENTION] bhai for winning the all important toss

Our bowlers led by my boy [MENTION=137118]Mir jibran[/MENTION] and [MENTION=145909]Smudger[/MENTION] did a great job to restrict MU to a chaseable score. From there, we followed the same pattern we did last time, i.e. play out the super bowlers and then the lower order can feast on their lower skilled bowlers. [MENTION=149506]andy0204[/MENTION] played a great knock up top with [MENTION=55088]Watsupdoc[/MENTION] chipping in with crucial runs as well. From there, [MENTION=147674]The Viper[/MENTION] and I did our thing, but full creds to Vipes for taking us over the line - he saved his best for the big game!

All in all, fantastic win. Super proud of the boys - we're now one win away

Commiserations [MENTION=152120]TrentDevil[/MENTION] [MENTION=40952]Batman[/MENTION] - you guys got super unlucky with the toss. We also got very lucky to be matched up with you guys as we very much have the same strengths. It was just a matter of winning the toss for either side.
