Redford’s onscreen roles ran the gamut from fresh-faced heartthrob of 1967’s Barefoot in the Park, his Hollywood breakthrough, to the weary bank robber in the 2018 heist tale The Old Man and the Gun, his last major role. He was the rugged outdoorsman of Jeremiah Johnson, the bookish target in Three Days of the Condor, the tireless competitor of Downhill Racer, and the tragic icon of The Great Gatsby.

Behind the scenes, was the founder of the game-changing Sundance Film Festival, which advanced the careers of countless independent filmmakers and gave audiences a new perspective on what was possible. He was the filmmaker behind 1981’s Ordinary People, which won him the directing Oscar, and 1995’s Quiz Show, which earned him another nomination.

Even after all this, we’re leaving too much out. A River Runs Through It. Brubaker. Out of Africa. Indecent Proposal. After a lifetime of heroic figures, he relished playing the darker figures, and even brought to life a villain in the Marvel movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier, a role he took because he wanted to see what this comic book movie phenomenon was all about.

He remained curious throughout, and never stopped seeking meaning and excitement in equal measure. When President Barack Obama gave him the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016, the commander in chief said: “His art and activism continue to shape our nation's cultural heritage, inspiring millions to laugh, cry, think, and change. … As an actor, director, producer, and as an advocate, he has not stopped—and apparently drives so fast that he had breakfast in Napa and dinner in Salt Lake."

Didn't watch a lot of his old movies except Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid (which was hilarious).. Spy Game I did think was pretty chic, The Natural was just weird.

Most of his movies gave me Indie commercial vibes and I could be wrong.

His acting in spy game was amusing....lconic voice

Saw Butch Cassidy a long time ago, probably dated badly by now, but his character was memorable. The only other movie of his I watched was Indecent Proposal, and he was really good in that as well. Just gave off very cool vibes.

Similar vibes in Spy game as well for his age.. Butch Cassidy at least according to me aged very well.
