No running around no fuss. Just stands there with his arms tied behind his back or folded in front like a shareef bacha.

It irks others to no end without him even doing anything. That's the beauty of it.

Thats pure trolling. He must enjoy it. I just hope a Aussie does not end up punching him when he does it. I can see David Warner not taking it lightly.

I liked it personally. Something different. Need more diverse celebrations.

Those criticiZing are probably Imad fans who see him replacing their boy?

Hahahha Amir mocking raees' celebration after getting him out. Brilliant! :)))

On topic. There is absolutely nothing wrong with rummans celebration. He has performed really well too

Lol, yeah someone post it. Amir has his confidence back, expect him to do really well in the Champions Trophy, along with Junaid.

Honestly, I have nothing against celebrations . . Imran Tahir has an extravagant celebration . . Even Hasan Ali has this thing that he does . . many bowlers do!

But this one I have to admit doesn't come across well . . It's supremacist, cavalier and arrogant . . It doesn't look good . . Fine line between being confident and arrogant . .

Obviously there are many here who think it's fine . . and fair enough . .

Personally, it doesn't look good to me . . I wouldn't want a pakistani player to be doing that after getting wickets!

Can someone post Amir's mimicry of him

Finally some SWAGGER among a Pakistani. That's what Pakistani's are known and feared for and what we desperately need to have among our ranks when the Misbah sensible era finally ends

What do u want them to do? Be softies like shafiq, azhar and co? bow down and say namaste after getting players out?

Remember how wasim waqar and shoaib used to give it to the batsman after getting them out? Thats the swagger which Pakistan have been missing eversince misbah took over. Boring bunch.

Players like Imad, ruman (going by the way he behaved last night) and even amir are needed to put fear of God in the opposition's heart. The only thing that can make them look like idiots is if they stop performing well.

It's pretty damn encouraging to see boys having a go each other in this PSL.

If this is how they play among themselves I dread to think how hard they'll come down on an actual opposition :akhtar

I grew up during the 90s and a generation of Pakistani fans would love to see us go back to the era where men actually acted like men.....

Enough of this Acha Bacha nonsense !!!!

For that you need at least one more top grade fast bowler as a leverage. Otherwise it wont happen

Regards

Is Wahab not fast enough for you?

We used to have wasim and waqar, so we could afford that kind of attitude. Nowadays we only got amir. We need one other good fast bowler(not medium or ruman raees's pace)
Wahab Riaz is not good enough. He is not that effective even though he is fast

I think these days slow bowlers are more in demand than the "need for speed" fast bowlers. Thats why guys like Ruman Raaes would be successful in today's cricket.

Our standards have incredibly fallen to new lows if we are including Wahab in conversation where Dalairy and aggression are being discussed. Wahab just bowls fast brainlessly - that is not good enough my friend.

You need a bowling brain to be aggressive and not just pace. Asif was extremely aggressive as a bowler and yet he never increased his pace more the 132-134 kph....

Its not like we have any spare Waquar's or Wasim's in our domestic.

if i asked you whether we could get someone like
shadab khan at an under 19 then your reply would have been same. The point is that at u19 level pakistan can still unearth genuine batting and bowling talent..... So if i say that we can unearth top grade fast bowlers at u19 then i wont be wrong.

no offense

but some people do not know this. Asif debuted against aus in tests then came back against eng in odis. Asif's pace was about 135-141ish......with ocassional 144k delivery. It was only after his elbow injury that he got slower. Not to mention in odis he was not that effective

I remember treschotic getting bowled by asif in odis as his debut wicket such that the speed of that ball was about 140k

Asif was not aggressive but cunning..

The only thing that sets apart this tournament from the faysal bank t20 is players giving their best and performing competitively.. what you get in the latter is empty stands, zero coverage, zero motivation to perform... when there is a competitive atmosphere, that makes it closest to the International level.. its good youngsters are performing more now in this season... usually they have to play a magic knock in Internationals to make a name for themselves.. now they have a stepping stone to sustain their long term performance...

Lol, i'm just as confused as you. Yea he's bowling good, but he ain't replacing Amir, more likely that he will partner him.

exactly mate some ppl just watch wicket taking deliveries in youtube highlight and start comparing cats with tigers...
Amir makes into any team in the world and Rumma is like a 3rd tier bowler. No doubts that Rumman cannot improve but look at his fitness to start with...

I dont know which world rumman can take place of Amir?? I dont get it bro.. but whatever its hilarious.

I'm talking just about T20s. I believe Amir is our best Test and ODI bowler

IN terms of T20s fast bowling spots will be wahab Hassan amir rumman, usman khan, sohail

out of these rumman and usman have been the best at the death, so it is not entirely impossible that amir can be replaced, if sohail/hasan take the new ball

I reiterate, only T20s

Rumman Raees' wicket celebrations are brilliant!

I´m one of the few voices over here literally screaming for Raees to be given a run in the limited-overs team; I love his bowling, the excellent control he has over his line and length and the confidence he possess, but I personally find his celebration a bit annoying. Although he doesn´t in words engage with the batsman, but he sure looks at them hard when they walk past him after being dismissed. There´s a lot of arrogance in his eyes and style in my interpretation, and a quarrel like the one yesterday with Imad was waiting to happen some day.

Not saying he needs to quit it. He holds full right to celebrate, just like how some bowlers give send-offs by swearing and shouting. Personally, I admire those the most who engage with themselves and their team-mates, without the need to follow batsmen with their eyes to the dressing-room, or swearing and shouting.

What a spell yesterday by him by the way; removed Gayle, Pollard and Imad - the three hitters that Karachi have. Deserved to win.

Haters gonna hate. He should be selected in T20s and maybe even ODIs and this celebration is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.

If these mediocre players with sky high ego can get annoyed imagine how successful he will be in front of actually good players.

Bring him in.

He can get mediocre players out, but idk if he can get good players out.

Rumman's celebration should make it into the national team. Rumman himself doesn't seem anything more than another Sohail Khan.

I don't think Amir is our best bowler. Ever since his return he has been very average. Whats the point of having a strike bowler when he disapears when it matters?

Wahab Riaz and Sohail Khan have shown more value heck even Rahat. Can we stop overhyping him based on his past performances?

Btw I agree with you in the twenty20.

Loved the celebration and I want him to be a part of the national side. Amir may well have found a partner here who he would want to compete with and do better.

Competition amongst hunting opening pairs is always good for the team

We want these kinds of players in our side who have fire in their belly and a little bit of swag. For those disregarding Rumman, he has the best economy rate in PSL history so far. On top of that he has a knack of picking up plenty of wickets.

At present we have bowlers who after picking up a wicket run up to the batsman and say "sorry sir I got you out do you want me to carry your bat for you to the pavilion."

Enough of this good boy, gentleman mantra.

hope amir and him get on. can see rumman taking amirs place in t20s

I believe Rumman should take Amir's place in T20Is as well.

Amir needs a bit of a break and shouldn't be playing meaningless T20Is.

Should still play all Tests and ODIs, though.

Good to see from Ruman, i think pakistan as a whole have been working on their celebrations, post push up gate. Hasan Raza seems to have adopted a half triple H half boom boom afridi type celebration aswell, great stuff and hopefully we see more of this in the future. Nothing will beat sheldon cottrells salute celebration tho for originality.

Who are you talking about? Even the likes of Sohail and Rahat are nothing if not aggressive.

PSL 2:

0/35 from 4 overs
1/12 from 2 overs
3/32 from 4 overs
0/33 from 4 overs
0/24 from 3 overs
2/25 from 3 overs
0/11 from 2 overs
0/26 from 4 overs

The only reason Shinwari is rated by PP'ers is because he is not in the side. Put him in the side and two better bowlers will appear in domestics out of nowhere.

looks decent but he has to work on his pace ,run up and reverse..he can be handy bowler..

He just stands there every time with his hands behind his back.. Whats so brilliant?

It's his way of saying to the batsman that it wasn't a biggie to get you out and its not worth celebrating. That is the most gangsta celebration if there ever was one. Batsman ki jal jati hai. I remember Imad took offense to it in the PSL and tried to pick a fight with Raees.
