What's new

Rumman Raees's wicket celebrations are brilliant!

It's his way of saying to the batsman that it wasn't a biggie to get you out and its not worth celebrating. That is the most gangsta celebration if there ever was one. Batsman ki jal jati hai. I remember Imad took offense to it in the PSL and tried to pick a fight with Raees.

Uh boring. Its good for one time only.. Just like afridis star which he continued to do everytime.

seems a bit cocky and up himself in that celebration. When you bowl 120k's, good luck against sides which have 145kph bowlers showing how average you really are... sorry, a bit brutal, but really don't like his celebration! lol

He is consistently around the 135-140kph range.

It's hilarious because it bothers whoever he does it against.

Very effective.

if he were a world leading bowler, you could perhaps understand the arrogance of it, but at this stage, I really don't like it at all.

It's good. Don't get why people are hating on it. Always good to have bowlers with a bit of attitude. Would take him and Hasan any day over the Tanvirs and Rahat Alis.

Rumman Raees celebration or the lack of it

Modern day fast bowlers are known for speed and enthusiasm and the energy they release on taking a wicket through some extravagant celebrations.

While this is true for most fast bowlers and each has a unique style of celebrating a wicket, this young fast bowler from Pakistan is a resemblance of the bowlers of 1960s and early 70s who always treated taking wickets as their daily job, and made no big deal out of it.

What is more eye catching is that he hardly reacts to this situation and stands still and it takes someone from his team to run up to him reminding him that he has taken a wicket.

Is this natural to him or was he too overwhelmed on the occasion of making his ODI debut overseas in a knock out game ? Do we expect him to show more emotion in his next game whenever he plays ?

I think he did the same thing during some of the PSL matches too, standing at one position with a big smile but no jubilant celebrations.

It could be a unique way of celebrating the wicket. It's a fresh feature to watch.

Rumman Raees' trolling level: Jedi
It's like telling the batsmen, " yeah, you're wicket wasn't even important, you're a useless waste of space, get going ". It got under the skin of Imad and Amir in the PSL so let's see who he irks on the international stage. Plus if there are any altercations due to his " celebrating ", he won't even get fined. LOL!
