Very odd to note that the Afghans have developed some sort of negative feeling towards Pakistan cricket over the years.
We saw this during the Asia Cup match in Abu Dhabi where the supporters were hostile towards Pakistan side and now we have the Afghan interim CEO making some really childish statements about the whole issue.
====
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Asadullah Khan has suggested that Pakistan can take help from them to improve their cricket.
The interim Afghan cricket boss made tall claims of being far better than Pakistan in cricket currently, despite being at the bottom of the points table during the World Cup.
“We are currently far better than Pakistan in cricket and they should ask us for technical, coaching and more support for the betterment of their cricket,” Asadullah has been quoted saying.
On the other hand, Pakistan have also put up a flop show so far in the mega cricketing event, securing just three points in five matches.
Afghanistan got the better of the World Cup 1992 champions in a warm-up game at Bristol, where they registered a win by three wickets.
The two teams will take on each other on Saturday, June 29 at Headingly, Leeds. While Pakistan will play against South Africa on Sunday, June 23 in London.
