Seen few of his clips. He is a trundler but has amazing stats mainly because of the quality of our pitches.

Watching few clips in a full movie doesn't mean anything. If that is the case then why do other bowlers don't have amazing stats?

They do. Aizaz Cheema and Asad ali despite playing lot more matches have almost similar stats. Please check stats of Samiullah Niazi . That being said, I will be happy if Sadaf proves me wrong.

Well done PTV.

Opting for BBL ahead of a domestic tournament.

the great tragedy of Sadaf Hussain is that he has been putting these numbers for a good EIGHT years now.

Surely when he was in his early 20s he deserved a chance with the team and to work with international level coaches to improve his game.

However his game has been stagnant for years now and now His peak has passed. We will never know how he would have really done and how working with international level coaches and being in a competitive environment would have turned out for him

Let's see. Sadaf gets to play for the first time in a supposedly telecasted match and the telecasters decide not to show it. Definitely a conspiracy here.

Do we have the scorecards?

why has he never been selected for Pentangular One Day domestic when he is best bowler always in departmental One days which he plays

Also never selected in domestic t20 despite his ATG level domestic One day stats?

Everyone lectures Hardwork always pays off but this is not the case here

I have asked PTV as to why the match was not televised - no answer.

I watched him once live and he simply doesn't have pace at all.

He still deserves his chance

A response from PTV finally.

A senior figure at PTV has told me there is a contract dispute which is yet to besorted out and that's why there has been no coverage so far.

Exaclty! So why should we feel sorry for Sadaf? This is life unfortunately.

I want Sadaf to play because 1. I want PCB selection to be based on merit and systematicity. 2. I want us to have the best possible chance to win

He would have been ideal for NZ

I watched a bit the other day and he was swinging it MILES!

I watched a bit the other day and he was swinging it MILES!

Don't go for that.

Mir Hamza, Ehsan Adil, Usman Shinwari, Anwar Ali.

These guys swing miles with the local ball, can't do a thing with Kookaburra.

Bowling against WAPDA right now. Got Kamran Akmal out with a half tracker that Kami hit to mid on.

Two short and wide ones to Rifatullah right now, smashed away for four.

This gentle medium "pace" bowler Sadaf is a lion on one particular pitch, outside R'pindi, his home ground where he has taken most of his wickets, out side that he is a lamb. Other than 1-2 poster at PP, everyone knows this fact well, no wonder no selector gave much consideration to him and no PSL team in interested in him.

Doesn't have Abbas-esque control. Average speed must be around 115-125 kph.

It's a T20 and batsmen weren't comfortable facing him was bowling in the 125-130 range nice bouncer which hurried the batsman can get it over 130kph looking at the video should've played international cricket by now.

He could have been very useful in SA with his height. It's a pity the PCB never tried him outside Asia in Tests. If Irfan was useful then Sadaf could have helped as well.

The guy isn’t going to improve anything. He doesn’t look better than Shinwari and Raees. Even Fahim Ashraf bowls at 140kmh. Not sure how a 120kmh would drastically improve our international team

Ok that settles it.... what a bang average club cricketer. One thing that various selectors got right.

Some of the batting on show was embarrassing. No wonder people like him rule the roost.

Sadaf Hussain is bowling in high 130's

Mohammad Waseem former Pakistan International Cricketer has said this on Air today that Sadaf is getting bounce and he is bowling with pace. Khurram Mamzoor struggled with pace n bounce on one ball.

Awais Zia was dropped by Mohammad Nawaz of his second ball. Than Awais Zia edged one for 4 and again he top edged a fast medium ranged bouncer for 4 through to deep fine leg.

Sadaf is bowling very well in National One Day cup and in terms of speed he is only few km slower than Usman Shinwari.

Clearly fast medium.

His quick yorkers and bouncers are clearly 137+ kph without any doubt and batsmen get hurried.

No batsman get hurried at 115 120 kph. No substance in this false bizarre baseless reporting of Sadaf speeds.

Khurram Mamzoor did't play Sadaf too much. Sadaf had three good ball to Awais Zia all went to four

Bowled match winning penultimate over for Rawalpindi where he snatched win from Karachi.

It was a war between two domestic giants Fawad Alam & Sadaf Hussain and Sadaf won the battle.

Deserved a test call up long time ago when we were giving chances to many bowlers who developed into nothing.

Remember him, Junaid Khan and Rizwan getting selected for the 2011-12 WI ODI series and he was never given a chance.

With his height and swing anything around 135kph would be handy in tests. In LOI, just like Abbas I dont think he is fit and athletic enough by the looks of it but thats just my assumption.

Abbas has proved that consistent performances in First Class can be transferred to test cricket. For test cricket we need to give more weight to FC performances.

Has anyone noticed that he gets awkward bounce like Bumrah from good or back of a length.

Thats one of the key for his success as not many bowlers have this thing in their bowling.

Perfect test match bowler.

Good post.
Wont be surprised that those bashing Sadaf are the same who ridiculed Abbas.

Phir rotay hain Pakistan mai players nahi. Bas Kohli Kohli krwa lo in sai. Clueless lot!

Tbh have always believed that he is more talented than Fawad.

Faadi actually got chances at international level but Sadaf never got any and much has to do with politics and Pindi politics.

Heck the guy debuted after 8 years in t20s and now Pindi in finals.

Seems to extract extra bounce.

He should have been tried in the Test format and see how it goes, but he was never given a chance.

Really feel for him.

Have you seen how weak he looks at the crease? I hope he plays a few odis so people can see he’s bang average.

The fact, he has a "weak run into the crease" or whatever and is still taking wickets, is a testament to the guys skills and ability.

Hope he does get a chance in Tests to showcase himself.

We could have played him in test matches in place of Lord Rahat but its too late now.

Bowled a bouncer to Kami and it hurried him, which led to a mistimed pull and almost got his wicket.

Kami is a good player off the back foot and no medium pacer would have troubled him with a bouncer.

Sadaf is clearly quicker than he looks and definitely has something about him, to have been given a chance.

Mohammad Abbass , Ali Imran Pasha , Atif jabbar , Shehzad azam rana are all 140+ kph bowlers & mohammad Ali also bowls 140+ ocassionally. All right arm bowlers . The biggest problem in their non selection is that most of them are rarely seen playing on tv because they play list A & Fc in pakistan where only finals or semifinal are telecasted , rest of the year they play club cricket abroad . . . Selectors judge players mostly on tv in pakistan sadly though
You remember this, right?

Met Waqar in Dubai during the Australia series and asked him about Sadaf, he was of the opinion that Sadaf is way too slow for international cricket. Make of that what you will

Bowled pretty well in National T20 Cup televised matches.

Let’s see how he bowls today. Would be interesting to see if he has improved his fitness.

4 wickets for him today. This guy is a wicket taker for sure, no wonder he has got such a good List A record. Its ridiculous to see people still calling for Amir or Wahab 's selection in the WC and ignoring him.

Insane that he's not even at least considered for selection, record more than merits it
