Shoaib isn’t sleeping properly or what? Look at those under eye bags.

And on topic - Sallu bhai is now the bigger star than Shahrukh!

Watched Bharat starring Salman Khan.

One of the worst films I have ever seen. Utter rubbish film, zero acting, zero storyline.

What's with Salman coming out with bad movies these days??
Has his acting degraded or are the storylines just bad??

Lol, when was the last time Shahrukh Khan delivered a hit?

Amir Khan.

Doesn’t have the looks or charisma but he always comes up with some great movies with a great story.

Both are idiots but Shahrukh will always be better in everything than that clown.

Aamir is the real king. One who makes movies of some sort of substance. Out of the 2 tho Salman is clearly better.

SRK is the complete package bereft of controversy and full of charisma. When he talks, you wanna listen to him. A very good inspirational speaker as well

Salman on the other hand is a money making machine with good looks. That's basically it.

MUMBAI (Dunya News) – Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has said that he was once scolded by former cricketer and current Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan over asking for an autograph.

While recalling the incident, the actor told that he used to admire Imran Khan and went to see his match. I was standing to take autograph of Imran Khan but he scolded me because his mood was not good as he got out on low score.

I also complained him [Imran Khan] of his behavior some three years ago, he told.

Shah Rukh Khan further said that he is a big fan of his cricket.

Don't watch too may Bollywood films, but I feel neither Shahrukh nor Salman deserves to be called the 'King' of anything. They're both very average actors.
The best among the Khans is Aamir Khan.

I reckon you would have been a good Bollywood actor with your looks.

With ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan,’ Shah Rukh Khan Thrills Bollywood Fans.

Bollywood fans flocked to theaters when Shah Rukh Khan returned to a starring role in January after a four-year hiatus. That film, “Pathaan,” has made nearly $130 million, more than the Jennifer Lawrence comedy “No Hard Feelings” and “Air,” the Nike tale starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

Now Khan and his supporters are back for more.

When “Jawan” opened in India on Thursday, eager audiences gathered in early-morning lines to watch the latest from the actor known as the King of Bollywood. He has starred in dozens of movies produced by one of the world’s largest film industries.

“Jawan,” a revenge thriller in which Khan plays the jailer at a women’s prison, was released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. A review in The Guardian called it “a great showcase for Khan to play everything under the sun: godly badass, dandyish army vet, total sweetheart.”

Red Chillies Entertainment, Khan’s production company, told Variety that “Jawan” collected $15.6 million globally on its opening day, the highest total in Bollywood history.

The record it broke was also held by Khan: “Pathaan,” produced by Yash Raj Films, generated $12.7 million the day it was released, according to Variety.

“Thank u so much,” Khan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday. “I keep trying in my small humble way to make our country proud in terms of making cinema.”

Although Khan had made cameo appearances in the past few years, the spy adventure “Pathaan” was his first starring role since “Zero” in December 2018, which struggled commercially. In “Pathaan,” part of a larger film universe, Khan’s character tries to prevent a deadly virus attack.

“Pathaan,” which is now available to rent or buy on major American platforms, made about $77 million in India and $52 million more internationally. It is currently 24th at the global box office this year, behind “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,” “Evil Dead Rise” and “Shazam! Fury of the Gods.”

SRK is arguably the greatest ever.
His stardom outside India is insane and cannot be touched by any other Indian actor ever including Amitabh , Rajnikanth etc.

I was at the Burj Khalifa last week
And the Jawan trailer launch was a great event. This man draws crowd in the Middle East , Europe, US like he’s in India.

Jawan hits Century on the 2nd Day again, collects Rs 110.40 crores worldwide

SRK is miles ahead of Salman Khan. He has made a solid comeback this year with Pathan and Jawan.

Salman Khan is an awful actor, who is only famous for his body and looks.

There was a time where I used to like Salman Khan, and thought SRK was awful. How wrong was I?

I reckon you would have been a good Bollywood actor with your looks.

@gani999 Having seen your chehra in your display pic, I wanted to get your view on this and see if you've had time to put your name forward for a potential Bollywood role at some point in the future.

I think you would make a good villain.

Salman Khan in star power is the only one who can challenge SRK. But in the end SRK outside India goes ahead of Salman Khan.

In acting Salman is nowhere near SRK. SRK is the best of this era. Though he does overact in lot of scenes compared to mt bachchan and Dilip Kumar. Dilip Kumar was more restrained and collected , and his voice modulation was also probably the best ever. Bachchan voice was exceptional. But SRK potraying negative roles with tremendous impact goes ahead in this genre. He matches Bachchan in a lot of genres, in emotional scenes Dilip Kumar has slight edge , but again in romantic roles SRK is well ahead.

Bachchan and Dilip Lumar did not have hysterical fan folowings , which Dev Ananad , Rajesh Khanna and now SRK has.

So , overall SRK is ahead of Salman Khan.

Salman fans also do not compare his acting with SRK. They are compared as superstars . Its like Rajesh Khanna had tremendous hold on box office for 3 years , which was peak of stardom , but he is no where as an actor like Bachchan or Dilip Kumar.

Salman’s controversial life and his criminal history puts off a lot of people.

SRK is the perfect role model, and an extremely likeable person.

SRK is a perfect family man who loves and cares about his family that is what makes him a real king of Bolywood.

Jawan box office collection: The Atlee action entertainer starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara achieved the unthinkable on Sunday. The film collected around ₹81 crore nett in India for all languages on Sunday as per early estimates. The gross collection as reported by film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan stands at ₹85.10 crore.

Watched Jawan yesterday with family (thank God you can watch a blockbuster movie with family nowadays).

The first half was epic
It has me below being the movie could be an ATG but sadly the 2nd part turned a serious and emotional movie into comedy. The money heist resemblance would irritate you in the 2nd half.

Overall, still a nice entertainment movie.

I can see why it’s making so much business. It’s a solid SRK action movie that you can watch with your family. This will continue to flood the theatres for another week or so. 1000 cr is a done deal. My expectation is 1500 cr global collection.

The real king of Bollywood was neither of these two. It was the original superstar called Rajesh Khanna. At his peak this man had an incredible fan following more then these two can even imagine. He was even much bigger then Dilip and Amitabh too from what the older generation tell me.

Yes , Rajesh Khanna had extra ordinary fan following , in times when there was no social media at all , just print media. Among females also extremely popular. but after 3 - 4 years , he lost it. The movies which were made after that were different to what Rajesh used to do.

If Rajesh had been a little early in early 60 s he would have been much bigger star and would have hampered Manoj Kumar and Rajendra kumar.

From the little I know Amitabh's action films put paid to Rajesh's love stories. He could not change his image from being a hero of love stories or social drama's to action films. The public was bored with his emotional drama's where his character always dies in the climax due to heartbreak or some disease.

There were various factors behind Rajesh khanna decline.
First was in the year 1973 Dharmender dent the first blow by giving 7 hits in a single year.

After that off course it was Bachchan was coming up very fast. And soon he started giving big blockbusters.

Salim Javed also wrote scripts which suited Amitabh. Rajesh Khannas another fault was careless attitude , coming to sets 3 - 4 hrs late. Now when you are on top people tolerate that , once you are down , no one will.

I read somewhere that Salim-Javed turned against Rajesh Khanna when he rejected there offer of doing a film. After that they created the Big B legend as a form of revenge. They told Rajesh Khanna that they will break him and they did. Dharam and Amit both did action films and some drama's too where as Rajesh Khanna could only do love stories. Later on he did a very good films like "Avtaar" about an elderly father whose two sons turn against him.

Salim javed rewrote the script of haathi mere Saathi , but later Rajesh Khanna was not good with them . Later they wrote script of Deewar , tight script with screenplay and dialogues done. They demanded 3 lakh for that from Yash Chopra , which was huge in those days were top actors were paid 7 - 12 lakhs. Later when Zanjeer , Yadoin Ki baarat etc written by them were hits Yash Chopra paid 7 lakh for that script. He wanted Rajesh Khanna to play the lead role. Salim Jawed refused to sell unless Bachchan is casted in that movie.

Rajesh Khanna even after 1973 had successful movies. The problem was he lost his stardom. The craze the audience had for him , and the infatuation women had was gone. Early in his peak the hysteria among the girls for him was mind blowing like girls kissing his white merceedes and making it pink with lip stick, women using dust of his car as vermillion on foreheads, girls marrying his pictures etc !!

Yes, his mother is a Hindu. But apart from Bollywood celebrities, I have never seen any other muslim worship idols.
I have a family friend who is married to a Hindu and hie is Muslim heritage . I think both are pretty secular and are cultural Muslim and Hindu. I have seen him around Hindu gods “praying” or offerings . Also in Pakistan many Hindus go to Muslim pira graveyards to pray also. Especially in sindh

Shah rukh khan has a temple in his home I think.

Bharat‘a diversity is quite something and it’s not surprising to find a his in many mixed religion marriage homes in Bharat.

And why would they? These bollywood walas are doing bcoz they have got some hindu connection in family or just to win over fans in a country where 80% hindus. There is absolutely no reason for a common muslim person to do idol worship.

Also, in today's generation Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan will NEVER become the stars if they start their careers in present era. Lets be honest, there are hundreds on the street who can act/dance better than SRK and less said about Salman the better. I mean we all know how SRK looked when he started. How come only he became star and not orthers? Why you think Salman became a star when there are thousands of people more talented than him? Why you think only Khan's dominated bollywood for so long? It is bcoz back in the day if you got a muslim surname, it was much easier to get a break in bollywood compare to a Kumar, Sharma or Mishra.

Don't want to derail the topic but just wanted to highlight they are no heroes.

Don’t know whether what you say is right or wrong, but I’m a huge fan of SRK.

Bollywood studio heads wanted muslims in the starring role of their movies ? Why ?

So someone like Yash Chopra only wanted the Khans ? He is the same person who made Amitabh Bachchan famous.

Absolutely not a fan of SRK. Overacting, cheesy movies.

Salman does the same but he goes over the top and doesn't portray the movie as "realistic".

SRK had 1 good movie. Darr. Post 2000 are just trash.

That's not my chehra. That's Gundappa Vishwanath on my DP.
Actually, a lot of people who are familiar with my face have told me that I would make a good villain in Bollywood, so you are not far off the mark. ;)

Hindus going to Tombs of saints or Gurudwara is not odd thing , they do not believe in restrictions or guidelines. If a hindu wants to worship a stone or tree or cow or anything for that matter , another Hindu will not object to that.

At least you understand the fact that what these actors do is just a drama. A hindu person who worships idol has astha ( faith ) , but when these people do , it is just fooling others , its hypocricy.

well in terms of acting i would give SRK a much higher rating than Salman Khan but when it comes to looks my preference would be for Salman Khan.

I'm a fan of both his work, and the person he is.
I was speaking in general terms.

From Muslims point of view , he is not a Muslim.
You may agree with him , I was speaking in general sphere , there are people who may not. But in his field he is arguably the biggest star of Bollywood .

Shah Rukh Khan Gets Y+ Security Cover After Death Threats

Shah Rukh Khan will be provided Y+ security cover by Mumbai Police after the actor complained that he had been receiving death threats after the success of 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'.

Under the Y+ security cover, Mr Khan will be accompanied by six armed security personnel round the clock. Earlier, the popular actor was accompanied by two security personnel.

According to police, the actor recently wrote to the Maharashtra government, informing that he was receiving death threats after he delivered back to back blockbusters. The Maharashtra government then decided to step up the security cover provided to the popular actor.

Earlier, actor Salman Khan was provided Y+ security cover last year following threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang.

Shah Rukh Khan has had run-ins with the Mumbai underworld earlier and has been known to stand up to threats.

Recently, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta took to social media to praise 'Jawan' and praised Mr Khan for his determination to overcome challenges, including threats from gangsters.

"Back in the 90s when the underworld bullying of film stars was at its peak, Shah Rukh Khan was THE ONLY star who never gave in. 'Goli marni hai mar do, par tumhaare liye kaam nahin karoonga. Main Pathan hoon (shoot me if you want to, but I won't work for you, I am a Pathan),' he said. He's the same today (sic)," Mr Gupta had posted on X.

According to the Maharashtra government's policy, security cover is provided to citizens who face a threat to life. In such cases, the citizens have to pay a fee or deposit a security amount for the protection.

Protect him at all cost. He is a national icon and the ambassador of the good Muslims of Bharat.

Has the film "Jawan" again hurt Hindu sentiments that SRK is receiving death threats? While on it for those who have seen it is this film and good?. When I watched Bollywood films some 20 years back preferred Salman Khan to Shahrukh. I am sure Pak will soon be offering Shahrukh asylum  Salman's then hairdo and power walk with those muscular extended arms wins it for him!:)

Lol Amitabh, Dilip Kumar , Dev Anand enjoyed for long as well.
Even Salman has huge number of fans but not in Mumbai as such, he is way more famous in other Indian states.

In South there are many stars though, Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, Mamooty, Mohanlal, Kamal Hassan, late Rajkumar.
Forgot rajesh khanna and raj kapoor

Rajesh Khanna - Though he was insanely popular, especially amongst girls, his popularity was short lived unlike SRK.

Raj Kapoor - He was never this popular.
From what I have heard, Raj kapoor was the first bollywood actor with some global appeal. He was hugely popular in the former soviet union

I know Raj Kapoor was very very popular in erstwhile USSR. However, his appeal was mostly restricted to that area whilst SRK's popularity transcends regional barriers. He is as much popular in US as he is in Europe. He is equally popular in regions like UAE, Lebanon & Egypt.

Not a fan of SRK, certainly not any longer considering the kind of roles he is essaying for so long now but he rivals Big B in both popularity and reach to fans.

Agree, SRK is the biggest global superstar bollywood has ever produced but a lot of his popularity in the US/UK is among desi immigrants

Rajesh Khanna was popular even in later years, his events in Delhi in 1990s people used to still go to watch him. 25 years of stardom is huge as well.

Every industry person has maintained that no one enjoyed his level of stardom 1969-1975..

Find it sad how thousands of Indians gather outside his house just to get a glimpse of him from 50m away.

Do they have nothing better to do?
Why is it sad? What about those millions of people around the world who could die to get a glimpse of Michael Jackson back in his days? Didn't they have anything better to do?

Both need to gracefully retire from Bollywood. Their time was gone a decade ago. But they are still hanging on making movies as lead actors with girls a quarter of their age vying for their interest in them.
Its odd to see even actors like Ranbir, Ranveer, Shahid etc who are in their 40's doing romatic songs with females in their 20's.

Many other old actors could have also gained this limelight but I think these Khans received extra media attention which created additional hype for them.

Sorry, I missed that one time where a million people stood outside MJ’s house and going gaga as he spread his arms out wide as if he’s rising to the heavens.

It’s sad because most of them are probably in their late 20’s, and the best way to spend their day is by standing outside of an actors house.

How many Americans gather outside Morgan Freeman’s house when he comes out to get his mail?

Just a sad bunch of men.
