I have seen him bowl personally and I don't rate him because he used to be my father's student, but because of his ability to bowl with the new ball. Takes a lot of wickets of top order batsmen.

He was actually selected few years ago but unfortunately caught dengue fever. So could not go on tour. I think it was 2008.

he is old now. and he is a trundler. however its a fact that he can swing it miles into the the right hander and also away which makes it deadly for a left hander.
i think sadaf Hussain would be a better version of him now.

He is an old guy, not fit enough to play international cricket.

See we have won Champions Trophy through a totally new and fresh-blood team. Rather than Samiullah Niazi, we should give a chance to MIR HAMZA in international cricket.

Utter rubbish. Asif on his debut in Australia 2004 was strictly 78/79mph. Was easily played off the pitch. He only got up to 82/83mph a couple of years later. Samiullah is a decent bowler. Deserved a chance.
