Babar Azam is a very fine batsman. Sami Aslam is consistent but I doubt about his success at top level. Sharjeel Khan lost the form at wrong time would have provided us some good starts as he had excellent timings and good hand eye co-ordination. Fakhar Zaman can be another option we could look at but he is still new to domestic scene.

I dont think about the captaincy too early but i am sure if he keeps performing like this he ll have the luxury to ask the team management to use him as a floater in the middle ! And that can be real handy because if he gets going he ll be doing some carnage to the bowling side ! Lets see ! Captaincy us too early to talk for now !

Sarfraz Ahmed cannot be a finisher. He does not have the power game. Relies more on timings in drives, pushes and finding gaps while Sweep and one knee whack being strong shots.

If he cements his place in the team why not? Don't see any other option.

I saw every innings so please. Do you know why his List A Average is low? Because he bats low and does not have that power game to literally boost things up rather he is a busy players who keeps the flow of runs and grinds it out with some intent.

Sir jee majority of the keepers in pakistan have played down the order at 7 or 8 ! Sarfraz has been sent even at 8 by misbah and co in zimbabwe ! How would you expect the average to go rapidly up ? He bats with the tail well and can make things happen ! If u have watched the srilanka series u would have noticed the everytime he has come out to bat he was batting with either the last recognise pair or with the tail ! Especially in the innings where he scored the century ! He came out to bat when pak was 150/5

Yeah thats why I said he can't be a finisher. Should play at Top from 1 to 4 since he is an accumulator and busy player.

Should be persisted as an opener, The coach needs to further nourish his game against pace and he himself have to continue working hard.

What about the other openers playing in the domestic circuit ? Would that be unfair to them ! And when hafeez comes back he will be opening the innings again i guess !

Hafeez is better off at no. 3. He should stay as far away from the new ball as possible.
Number 3 for Pakistan means that you will almost always come up against the new ball!

He himself tries to avoid against tougher oppositions i guess ! And thats what makes him go down the order much more further ! He played even at 4 in CLT20 ! We ve got to find players that have potential and lets not through them in the captaincy thing so early ! Let them settle and make their performances count for Pakistan

Have you seen Pakistan's matches from a year or not? He scored 140* included in 3 Centuries at 3. Clearly he is our number 3. Sarfraz needs to build up innings, I have seen him doing well as an opener in Domestic T20s so must be persisted.

In my opinion, he should replace Misbah after WC 15 for ODI and T20 . He is a winning under 19 captain. He posses all the quality of a good captain, he is positive and has brave approach to his game. He should really already be captaining Dolphins and PIA (he has captained more than a few times for PIA).
He still needs to improve his wicketkeeping. He used to be great keeper few years back, but has got rusty in recent time.
Fawad Alam could be a good choice as captain in Test.

u are actually right, misbah would never send him up the order in test when batting first, and now since hafeez is back, sarfraz again would be pushed down the order in ODI. Management is gonna treat him the same way they treated razzaq, umar akmal. This is the sad truth
