Banning anything is not modern.
Everything reasonable should be available. Those who don't want something, should not buy it.
Banning cocaine is not modern? How about Cannabis ?

Re-read the word "reasonable" in my post.

Only a complete scumbag with faulty upbringing supports drugs to be legal.
I think world is too soft on drug dealers. Need to detain them and execute them to protect society.
Police should have a "shoot on sight" order for drug dealers.
The problem is alcohol is also a drug. If alcohol is legal, there is no basis for not making others legal. But I agree all should be illegal in a civilised society.
Anything that intoxicates or incapacitates a human being should be banned.
There have been many instances when druggies and drunk people have caused siginificant harms (drunk driving, for example).
Imagine someone drunk out of their minds, decides to walk into Medina or Mecca.
Many of the Arab rulers drink , do drugs and more.
Islam has always been about prevention rather than needing the cure after.
This is how it always starts. Dabbling in it a bit with the guise of “just keeping it for diplomats” and then the Muslims who witness it working closely to them will feel the desire to drink too, and it will have a (Allah forbid) a butterfly effect from there.
It’s the same thing with all the other major sins. Be firm in keeping away from them completely, because once you start making compromises here and there, those compromises will snowball into the Muslim society fully embracing the sin.
Same guidelines for fornication and shirk. Don’t do anything that is even a step in their direction.
Saudi Arabia has embraced the future and has given up on radical Islam which is now mostly a thing of the backward nations only like Bangladesh, Pakistan etc.

They are getting there one step at a time.
*I'm talking about the alcohol. Don't care about secular/communist/other labels.

The only radical Islam these days is practised by your bestest buddies the Taliban.![]()

To sanghis any Muslim who doesn't drink alcohol and doesn't bootlick India is probably a radical.
Sanghids are very retarded.
RSS and their fangirls dont need to drink booze! They are drunk and dizzy naturally.
I hope they dont drink in Saudi and start teasing or harrasing women, it wont bode well for them.

Usa will step in and support who will help fulfill their agenda,Totally agree with you bro,an infighting among princes coming in future
Yeah it takes more than just forcefully becoming custodian based on clan name to know Islamic law. These guys are the custodians of Shariah. I am sure they know what to do.
Leave the beer alone!

Doctors don’t approve of alcohol consumption either, it’s not good for health, butGenuine sanghis don't approve of alcohol either for what it's worth. India is one confused nation, drinking alcohol was a lot more straightforward in the secular days. With the advent of hindutva, just like eating beef has become a no-no, expect alcohol consumption to be on the to do list as well.

That’s true, and actions like this hurt their legitimacy further. But most people who argue that they are custodians of the holy cities don't recognise Saudi family legitimacy anyway.
When will see India giving up on radical Hinduism and embrace the future with country wide unbanning of beef?Saudi Arabia has embraced the future and has given up on radical Islam which is now mostly a thing of the backward nations only like Bangladesh, Pakistan etc.
