Saudi Aramco is in talks to buy a stake in a planned refinery expected to be built on India’s west coast that would be the country’s biggest refinery and would cost around $30 billion, Indian Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Thursday.

“Saudi Aramco and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) are talking to us for investments in the Indian oil sector,” Pradhan said at an energy event in India today, as quoted by local media.

Speaking to reporters later, the minister noted that Aramco was interested in buying a stake in the future refinery, while ADNOC was interested in investing in petrochemical projects.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has said in an outlook on India that refining capacity additions over the last decade had outpaced domestic demand growth and turned the country into a net exporter of refined products. Over the period to 2040, a further 3.4 million bpd of refinery capacity expansion and very high utilization rates are expected to drive refinery runs up by 3.1 million bpd to reach 7.6 million bpd by 2040.

Every country does what is right for them. Pak can though makes this a point in case when discussing the Muslim alliance. Ask them how can alliance work when they are siding with Pak's eternal enemy?

The trade between India and Saudi Arabia in 2015 was around 40 Billion USD compared to Pakistan-Saudi trade of 6 Billion USD. when Narendra Modi visited Saudi, the King Abdul Aziz bestowed upon Modi the highest honour of the kingdom. And the so called Anti-Iran alliance does not come for free, the Saudis pay for it in heavy salaries to the retired Pakistan army chief and the various loans of the kingdom towards Pakistan Government, last being the 1.5 Billion USD loan in 2014.

Money talks. For a country like Saudi Arabia, religion is merely a marketing tool, but economics comes in to play on the inside each day, every day.

Also don't be misled by this fictional "Muslim Alliance". It's just propaganda to have superior militaries like Pakistan train some missiles in Iran's direction because they're too hesitant and feeble to do it themselves.

That is what I am saying that Pak can use this Islamic collation thing as a bargaining tool with the Saudi's. If it does not suit Pakistan then Raheel should return home ASAP. The Saudi's with the middle east being the mess it is are asking for Pak's help. This alliance does not exist at this moment so no point in discussing it. Pak should not get involved in Saudi-Iran disputes at all. It has nothing to do with us.

India being the much bigger country will always have greater trade deals with every country which is only natural. The Saudi kings can hug whoever they want for all I care, America will start bombing them soon as well then we will see if India comes to their aid. Pak will and must do what is right for it. Being a practical man I will believe in the Muslim alliance when bombing one Muslim country like Istanbul means bombing Lahore. They need Pak military expertise more then we do them.
