"Do you renounce Satan"

"I do"

Such a powerful piece of cinema.

That’s an amazing scene but my favourite scene in the series and one of my favourites in any film is actually the scene in the restaurant with Michael, sollozzo and the police captain

That small moment when Michael is unable to locate the gun in the washroom. My heart was literally in my mouth lol.

Theres a Korean movie "villainess". The movie sucks but the opening 10 minutes of action in first person mode is perhaps the best I've ever seen.

The one I tried to.imitate the most is first scene of Godfather when the guy comes to his office for avenging the rape of his daughter and the way Brando replies, another where Brando calls.meeting of families for truce ,another with Brando telling his son not to speak.
I think Brando in Godfather would be my fav Hollywood character ever followed closely by DDL in gangs of New York.
Sad both are gangsters though, wonder if grey characters are all we like.

No one saying any scene from.a.comedy movie .here or any scene from a non violent movie proves where we have come as a society wanting violence in our movies

Feel Adrien in 4th season of peaky blinders on imitatee the best God father :P

Fav Bollywood scenes Anand climax and scene of kid giving water in Swades @gaza619 (since you mentioned Swades)

Favtamil movie scene : Thalapthy when Rajnikanths mother comes to meet him and Anjalis climax where her sister asks her to wake up DeadBall

Robert Di Niro and Al Pacino dialogue in Heat.

Another one.... Irreversible featuring Monica belluci. That one scene in the movie will horrify every human being.

Horrific indeed, I had to keep reminding myself that it's just a movie, it distubed me to the core.

Adding to that, I heard that movie used sound frequency which creates panic in people. They did put a great effort. And I don't think, except Monica belluci, no other actress could have done the scene to that perfection where reality and celluloid starts to get blend.

BTW we meet again little bro.

The last scene of The Usual Suspects.

Shame about Spacey.

It definitely had a massive psychological impact, unlike horror movies monsters like these actually exist. Brilliant acting by Monica!

Hahaha we do indeed :yk

Anjalis climax where her sister asks her to wake up @<a href="http://www.pakpassion.net/ppforum/member.php?u=146530" target="_blank">DeadBall</a>

Can't stop tearing up inside every time I watch it.

Btw JaDed haven't seen Thalapathi, doesn't have any bad reviews (only 15 though) and the fact that it is directed by (the older) Mani Ratnam is a major plus. Worth a watch?

Yeah I'm sure you guys watch Monika because of her acting.

Did you watch the scene in question? It truly is horrifying. Although I would not term quite it term it as a masterclass scene which I could watch over and over. Once was enough.

Too many to mention man. Some very good suggestions in this thread already.

Yes but again, its.similar to Nayagan in a diff way, Rajnikanths best movie btw.

Tbh I didn't. Might check it out now.

Think you should read about it before watching it. I would post whats its about here but it will probably get deleted.

It is one of the most horrifying scenes I’ve watched in a movie. Good movie though

Yeah I read some glowing reviews reviews about Rajnikanths performance being somewhat like that of Kamal Hassan in Nayakan. Also it has Mamooty to boot and the great Ilaiyaraaja provides the score. Seems like a perfect combination.

On an unrelated topic, who do you think is better? AR Rahman or Ilaiyaraaja? Both are geniuses in their own right and there are many factors involved but overall taking all of them into consideration I personally think Ilaiyaraaja is ahead.

In Tamil yes but overall AR rahman..his adaptability is remarkable..even in world.music although I feel he has hit a rut now.

Plus AR rahman can produce magic esp with repeated directors example Mani Ratnam, Imtiaz Ali,Ashutoeh and Subhash Ghai (later two not anymore) his problem is he doesn't get to work on great lyrics..(Rockstar being an exception).

Mamooty btw defn my fav south Indian actor Ore Kadal esp tremendous performance.

Goodfellas "Funny guy" scene

https://youtu.be/r_DwZfyXAXI

"You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little ****ed up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to ****in' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?"

And many more. Can't find the videos but that Kahaani metro scene (Bob Biswas) and ending court scene of 'In the Name of the Father' deserve mention.

I don't know why, but the scene in the Last of the Mohicans where Magwa chops down his Mohawk rival then puts his hand out to win the British General's daughter, and she throws herself off the cliff instead always sticks in my mind. He looked absolutely gobsmacked. It was probably just the musical score which was brilliant for that film.

This. The score was the finest I have ever heard.

Scarface was full of them but that one line where the bent cop says "You can't shoot a cop...!"

and Monatana replies " whoever said ju was one!" before firing another round always cracks me up.

Quite a few from Monty Python and the holy grail, one of my all time favorite films.

King Arthur: I am your king.

Dennis's Mother: Well I didn't vote for you.

King Arthur: You don't vote for kings.

Dennis's Mother: Well how'd you become king then?

King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king.

Dennis: [interrupting] Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

:)))

The Nasseruddin Shah courtroom scene from Khuda Ke Liye - amazing!

The bicycle thief ending <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vzZXkk3MsLo" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Dicapprio's back and forth with the senate commitee in The Aviator was nicely filmed as well.

Pacino’s diatribe against God in “The Devil’s Advocate”.

Dennis Hopper’s telling of Sicilian complexion to Christopher Walken in “True Romance”.

Orsen Welles’ entry in “The Third Man”.

Coin toss at the gas station of “No Country for Old Men”.

The Jew Hunter in “Inglorious *******s”.

The timely arrival of Marshal Blücher in “Waterloo”.

That small moment when Michael is unable to locate the gun in the washroom. My heart was literally in my mouth lol.

That's an amazing scene, it stands out in my mind when I look back on the first part.

What about this:

Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me! A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the age of Men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand! Men of the West!

Goosebumps, listen to that before a gym session :)))

I also use to have a personalised CD with speeches by Tony Montana :))) shout out to the many iconic scenes from Scarface and the epic one liners to

Speaking of Scarface, wasn't there meant to be a remake with Dicaprio as the lead? whatever happened to that, would have been awesome to see him in that role

That one was epic!
Time for a LOTR marathon again.

shaz619 When Andy Dufresne comes out of the sewage tunnel and it starts raining in the Shawshank Redemption.

Everyone should be ashamed it took us this long to bring that one up :))

I need to buy the complete blue ray set and extended versions for each movie, haven't watched those versions. Or maybe I should start reading the books first instead, they are very very long though

Balcony scene In Schindler's list when Amon Goth wakes up in the morning and randomly starts shooting Jews just for the kicks.
Pure evil!

Read the books dude. Simply phenomenal.
And they aren't as long as ASOIAF either.

This scene fascinated me when I watched the Malcolm X movie. Seemed to be calling America out on their hypocrisy.

Best scene in the movie is divided between the introduction of West Indian Archie and the assassination.

The epilogue is beautifully displayed as well.

Can’t believe Denzel lost for “X” but won for “Training Day”.

A few of my mine:
Braveheart: Speech to encourage his troops
Scare Face: Last fighting scene
Lucas: Last scene when he returns to school
Usual Suspect: When the realisation starts to take place
Titanic: Last scene when the old titanic is resurrected

1)ET: When the Alien thing is flying past the moon with a kid on a bicycle. That became Spielberg's logo.
2)Jaws: When Chief Brody kills the shark.
3)"Independence Day" speech by the USA president before we take on the aliens.
4) Clint Eastwood and two other fella's waiting to out do each other in "The Good, the bad and the ugly". The word "cool" was made for that!
5) Mr India: As for Bollywood my favourite scene is from "Mr India" when the invisible man lifts food from of a wealthy couple to feed the poor. "Ek insaan hoon jo jaante hai jab bhookh lagti hai to kaise lagta hai" or something like that he tells the lady when asked his identity. I like scenes that have an effect on the human spirit!

Good final speech when the world is about to end. It's 2019 and we're still here:vk2

Another awesome scene from my favourite horror movie when the lad is transformed to a werewolf. Great special effects that influenced Michael Jackson's "Thriller". "An American Werewolf In London" is a great horror movie for sure. The scene contains nudity so not uploading it but can see it on the youtube.

I love this sequence....shows the dichotomy of Michael's personality. Godfather is full of memorable scenes....the dead horse's head in the bed, leave the gun take the cannoli scene, the brutal shooting of Sonny, Michael shooting the cop and the Sollozzo in the restaurant, the strangling of Carlo Rizzi after he was told by Michael that he is safe, etc. Just an iconic movie.

A few more I would like to add, without giving away the ending
Se7en: the last scene
James Bond: Skyfall, when the enemy escapes
The Help: The pie eating scene
Back to the Future: Marty goes back home+Guitar playing at the prom
Hidden Figures: Long breaks followed by Bathroom breaking scene
Good Will Hunting: @ the Bar debate with a Harvard student
Men of Honor: Taking those steps in the suit+graduating diving scene
Jurassic Park: Seeing the large dinosaur herd for the first time
Terminator 2: When Arnie and T1000 face off for the first time
Fist of Fury: Bruce Lee fights the whole class room
The Others: when the truth is revealed
Star Wars: When Darth Vader reveals his relationship
American Pie: Nadia in the house
Forrset Gump: When he looses his leg brace
The Day of the Jackal: Testing the gun
Youve got Mail: When Hanks finds out who Shop Girl is
Arrmagedon: When they choose who stays back at the meteor & they leave
Batman: When the joker robs the bank
