SENA stats don’t lie: Pakistan edge India in England and New Zealand

It's because of swing bowling. Pakistan have always produced best fast bowlers between the two nations and it's still true. The pacers we have produced do enjoy swinging conditions a lot.

If the batting can hold on. You will see Pakistan bowling outperforming Indian bowling when they will tour England.
Playing only 2 matches in a series in england definitely helps. The amount of time india was 1-0 or 1-1 after two matches, we would have.been leading all those series.

Easier for bowling to do well in short series when compared to 5 match series where each player fitness is tested over such a long period

And no, having 35+ average like Naseem bowlers compared to bumrahs 19 average doesn't make your bowlers best or better.

Pakistan might be leading in stats overall but based on current form, we will see them struggling in SENA more than INdia..

No doubt here

Why are you even here this is Pakistani forum we will post whatever we like tumhari auqaat batao kia thi past mein minnow level ki tum logo ki team thi pakistan e hamesha harti thi aur 1 sport hi khelty ho us mein bi ab ja kr kuch Acha kr rhe beta pakistan tum logo se bohat agay hai samjhe
pakistan is minnow either you accept or you can cry whole of your life, which decent team lose to even a single test match at home against mighty Bangladesh .🤠You Guys even in your wasim imran days atrocious at home even after cheating tempering even in your peak cricketing years india kept smashing you in worldcup matches🤡
Pls win against bangla at home first

Zak Crawley who averages 31 after 57 test matches scored his highest test score 267 when Pakistan last toured England in 2020-21.

England will provide same roads when Pakistan & New Zealand tour next year.

Pakistan's cricket has declined over the past 15 years. Their fans don't call their team the GOAT, nor do they claim to be the best in the world or brag about someone else's wealth. Everyone knows the current Pakistan side would struggle in SENA, even managing a draw would surprise many. :inti

The only team that has not won a SENA test in that period is Pakistan.

India has won 8 (3 Aus, 3 Eng, 2 SA) - 8-13 record (8-11 away)

SL and Bang have won 1 each (Eng and NZ respectively) (1-8 and 1-3)

Pak a big fat ZERO (0-8)
In this period India have won 2-1 in Aus, drawn 2-2 in Eng, drawn 1-1 in SA. Even lost series they have won matches including 1-3 in Aus and 1-2 in SA. This current Eng series will continue the trend with the scoreline being 2-2 to 1-3.

Pak has been whitewashed in all of the Southern hemisphere countries (0-2 in NZ, 0-3 in Aus, 0-2 in SA) and lost 0-1 in England where rain saved them in the Zak Crawley game.

Pakistan team management is focusing on building a T20 hack team. I think they are going West Indies way.

Test cricket will become a luxury meant for rich boards.

No one gives an f about tests in Pakistan.

That's why Shaheen is a superstar and Mo Abbas isn't.

And they are mediocre there too. Atleast West Indies still has or had exciting T20 cricketers who won multiple T20 WCs but with all the talk about Pakistan focusing on T20s, they have pretty much nothing to show for.

Their fans are ( not all of them but some) reduced to rooting for teams that play against India. I understand BD fan does that because they are rubbish in all formats since their inception. But Pakistan had some legacy in all formats. T20 is still a hit and giggle format which is better suited for league cricket.

And retired leagues lol.

Drew the series 2-2 in England again

India & Pakistan in England

Pakistan's last few test series in England

0-1 in 1987 (Pakistan Win)
1-2 in 1992 (Pakistan Win)
0-2 in 1996 (Pakistan Win)
1-1 in 2001 (Draw)
4-0 in 2006 (Pakistan Defeat)
3-1 in 2010 (Pakistan Defeat)
2-2 in 2016 (Draw)
1-1 in 2018 (Draw)
1-0 in 2020 (Pakistan Defeat)

In 2020, Pakistan was on course to win the first test only to lose the final session against Buttler and Woakes.

India's last few test series in England

1-0 in 1990 (Indian defeat)
1-0 in 1996 (Indian defeat)
1-1 in 2002 (Draw)
0-1 in 2007 (last Indian win in England)
4-0 in 2011 (Indian defeat)
3-1 in 2014 (Indian defeat)
3-1 in 2018 (Indian defeat)
2-2 in 2021-22 (Draw)
2-1 in 2025 (Indian defeat)

Overall Pakistan has 3 series wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats in England. In comparison India has just 1 series win, 6 series defeats and 2 drawn series.

The last test series win India enjoyed in England was in 2007 but since then Pakistan and India have had similar records in England. Not sure what India is gloating about, Pakistan has won more series in England than India and it is India which has comfortably has had the better players than Pakistan in the last 20 plus years but their out put is not really different in England in comparison to Pakistan. If anything, Indians ko sharam se doob ke mar jana chaiye for terribly under achieving in India of late.

India & Pakistan in New Zealand

Pakistan last few series in New Zealand

0-0 in 1989 (Draw)
0-1 in 1993 (Pakistan win)
1-2 in 1994 (Pakistan win)
0-1 in 1995 (Pakistan win)
1-1 in 2001 (Draw)
0-1 in 2004 (Pakistan win)
1-1 in 2009 (Draw)
0-1 in 2011 (Pakistan win)
2-0 in 2016 (Pakistan Defeat)
2-0 in 2020 (Pakistan Defeat)

India's last few series in New Zealand

1-0 in 1989 (New Zealand win)
0-0 in 1994 (Draw)
1-0 in 1998 (New Zealand win)
2-0 in 2002 (New Zealand win)
0-1 in 2009 (India win)
1-0 in 2014 (New Zealand win)
2-0 in 2020 (New Zealand win)

Pakistan has won 5 test series in NZ, Drawn 3 and lost 2 test series. India has won 1 test series in New Zealand and lost 5 test series and drawn one. Pakistan's record in NZ is superior and mind you in the last 20 years India on paper has had a superior side and their best ever bowling line up but still they could not make a difference in NZ

India & Pakistan in Australia

Pakistan's last few series in Australia

1-0 in 1989 (Australia win)
2-1 in 1995 (Australia win)
3-0 in 1999 (Australia win)
3-0 in 2004 (Australia win)
3-0 in 2009 (Australia win)
3-0 in 2016 (Australia win)
2-0 in 2019 (Australia win)
3-0 in 2023 (Australia win)

India's last few series in India

4-0 in 1991 (Australia win)
3-0 in 1999 (Australia win)
1-1 in 2003 (Draw)
2-1 in 2007 (Australia win)
4-0 in 2011 (Australia win)
2-0 in 2014 (Australia win)
2-1 in 2018 (India win)
2-1 in 2021 (India win)
3-1 in 2024 (Australia win)

There is no comparison here, India comfortably wipes the floor with Pakistan in Australia whose record has been atrocious in Australia

India & Pakistan in South Africa

Pakistan's last few series in South Africa

1-0 in 1994 (South Africa win)
1-1 in 1998 (Draw)
2-0 in 2002 (South Africa win)
2-1 in 2007 (South Africa win)
3-0 in 2013 (South Africa win)
3-0 in 2019 (South Africa win)
2-0 in 2024 (South Africa win)

India's last few series in South Africa

1-0 in 1992 (South Africa win)
2-0 in 1996 (South Africa win)
2-0 in 2001 (South Africa win)
2-1 in 2006 (South Africa win)
1-1 in 2011 (Draw)
1-0 in 2013 (South Africa win)
2-1 in 2018 (South Africa win)
2-1 in 2021 (South Africa win)
1-1 in 2023 (Draw)

India scores higher marks than Pakistan in South Africa because they have won more test matches in South Africa and have drawn more series but they have still lost most of their series in South Africa similar to Pakistan.

Overall Pakistan's record is superior in England and New Zealand but India's record in Australia and South Africa is superior compared to Pakistan.
It's 2-2 in 2025, OP hahahahahahaha

Pakistan has struggled to fill the void left by Younis Khan & Yasir Shah in Tests, in the last 5 years they’ve been plagued by mismanagement, seniority, politics & player power. The results are there to see at home and not just away. I think recent results have actually been a bit more positive. India on the other hand had a massive purple patch since the time period you stated and while this series will be positive when you consider the lack of big names, it’s a sort of newish group of players. It’s a new era for both teams really, for Pak I think in the short-term they need to be consistent at home & India just seem to need to manage their resources well because they appear to have all basis covered.

It’s actually very disappointing England could not go for the kill, there’s a serious issue with the over-reliance on both Stokes & Root, India toured without their seasoned vets and a draw was a good result when you consider their experience levels, I mean both teams were sort of evenly matched in that sense but England had the edge with the experience, India fought hard and didn’t back down under pressure and they got so many positives to take away. A huge transformation is needed before the Ashes or England will get wiped out in all honesty.

9 now (3 Aus, 4 Eng, 2 SA) - 9-11 away record

Well this is the thing. There’s so much chest thumping, but very little to show for it. The last and probably only time I was impressed with India was the 2021 series in Australia. Fair play, that was a great victory.

Recently they’ve been hammered by NZ in India and Aus in Aus. This series was a last save from defeat against England and a draw.

Indian posters only respond with whataboutery about Pakistan. It’s like bro, this is the worst pakistan has ever been and we give these losers a very hard time, so the whataboutery isn’t really a flex.

India are in danger of their so called golden generation not achieving much.

This isn’t India’s golden era though. That was when Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman used to play. Unfortunately it also coincided with Australia’s golden era. Much like 1999 WC final defeat of Pak vs Aus. Pak still was in its golden era with Wasim, Waqar, Akhtar and several other big match winners.

India’s golden era still featured 2 years of topping the Test charts. Iirc 2009 and 2010. An ODI World Cup win. Series wins in NZ and England. And drawn series in Aus and SA iirc. Along with an impeccable home record.

Not sure when you started watching cricket but for anyone who’s watched in the 90s and 00s would never say that a team with Gill, Pant, Jaiswal, KL, Siraj, (Bumrah is an exception and an ATG) as leading players eclipses the one with SRT, Dravid, Khan, etc. as the golden era.

IIRC India also topped test cricket for 5 years under Kohli’s captaincy. Certainly another golden era but only for tests as we didn’t have much to show in ODI silverware during that time.

Bottom line is. This isn’t India’s golden era. We’re doing decently well as a team transitioning after some apparently talented test players like Rahane and Pujara didn’t live up to the expectations. NZ loss is a blot. The worst I’ve seen in my cricket watching history but the team was carrying passengers and still is.

Not really - the bowling was pants back then (Sehwag, Dravid Laxman era). Post 2006 maybe Zaheer was decent for a couple of years. And they weren’t the financial powerhouse they are now

When I say golden era, India are dominating from a financial standpoint, everything in their favour and still sketchy results. Not great.

Bowling wasn't that bad. Zak was really good for 4-5 years and so was Bhajji

Batting was miles better though! And that more than compensated for slightly above average bowling. Especially Sehwag who’d set up games nicely for us.

Sehwag
Gambhir (especially 2009/10 version)
Dravid
Sachin
Laxman
Dhoni

ATG batting. At one point, our top 4 batsmen all averaged 50+

Our current batting is no where close to this.

Zak averaged in 20s from 2007-11. And we had a steady stream of decent bowlers who partnered with him only to fizzle out but had stand out performances every now and then. E.g. RP Singh played a key role in the series win in England, Sreesanth in the series draw in SA, Pathan was good here and there.

India started doing away after they unearthed Zaheer, Nehra, Irfan & Harbhajan. Kumble & Agarkar too started picking wickets away from home. Zaheer & Harbhajan more or less played every test match in that golden period from 2001-2011. Big credit for this turnaround goes to Ganguly & John Wright.

Won vs England in England(2007), New Zealand in New Zealand(2009), came close beating both Australia 1-2(2008) & South Africa 1-2(2006).

India most probably had beaten Australia in Australia 2007-08 if not for Bucknor in the Sydney test match. Australia were 195-5 chasing India's 463 when Symonds was given not out twice when he was out clearly. Biased decisions on the 5th day ensured we lost that test match.
