Which one takes lesser time Hepatitis or Dengue? Anyway, wishing quick recovery for Shadab.
Revolutionary decision by Ul Haque though - leg spinners have done well in ODI & who knows, like Qadir in 1983, Yasir might the trump card....... though not sure how he became so fit, so quickly. For an honest & pious man like Inzamam, Yasir must have passed the 17.4 mark set by PCB, otherwise he won’t have been there.
Do you really think Junaid Khan will last 5 whole ODIs, the guy will play a couple of matches and then pick a niggle and out for next few games.
Besides when you have so many matches you need good back-upsas they will also play at some stage and Yasir has been disappointing in LOIs.
Just heard Inzi's statement about Shadab. If Shadab had no symptoms and his blood test came back positive by screening , that's unlikely to be hepatitis A, it could be Hepatitis C , which is endemic in Pakistan. Treatment a bit lengthy.
Some of the top hepatitis specialists are in Pakistan, why he has to see a specialist in England for that.
The last guidelines published by WHO regarding hepatitis C were written by a committee of specialists from 25 countries and it has headed by a doctor from Pakistan.
Hopefully, Yasir will only be there to sit on the bench.
Pakistan's preferred bowling attack would now be:
Imad Wasim
Faheem Ashraf
Hasan Ali
Shaheen Afridi
Junaid Khan
The state of this cricketing team man.
We used Yasir Shah in the previous World cup and he was hammered by everyone.
Since then, not once has he shown consistency in the limited format. And now 4 years on, he’s selected again for the World cup? On what basis?
What’s more shocking that we haven’t developed a back up spinner ie Zafar Gohar etc. Such incompetency, where is the planning? Shocking man. So frustrating.
Hopefully, Yasir will only be there to sit on the bench.

Hope he has Hepatitis A from which he should recovery fully in 2-3 weeks without any treatment and consequences. And NOT Hep, C, B, D or E.
I hope players all get vaccination against all these viruses ( B and A )
There is now treatment available for Heb C also, but its long and somewhat toxic treatment. Again, I hope its Hep A, in that case he will recover fully. Its highly contagious , hence needed to be isolated .
By the tweet of saj it looks like he has Hep B...if it is so, how much time will it take him to play?
Even an old Shahid Afridi would have been more useful than Yasir Shah. Sad but it's the truth.
I can't believe Mickey + Inzi keep making the same mistakes. If you are this desperate then rather select Mohammad Nawaz who can bat as well. Yasir adds nothing!
I looked at Dr Patrick Kennedy's profile, he is the right person , a gastroenterologist, to see patient with hepatitis , here is my take , on this matter so far.
Its not hepatitis A, which is a self limiting disease and no one needs to go to England just for Hep A.
Its probably not Dengue , UK doctors don't have much expertise and experience managing dengue, there are excellent Physicians for dengue in Pakistan, and from recent picture Shadab doesn;t look sick enough to be infected by dengue.
There is very effective vaccine for hepatitis B, do not know whether Shadab had it or not.
There is vaccine for hepatitis A but no one in Pakistan gets it, most of the people get infected with hepatitis A and recover from it then develop life long immunity , you can;t get hepatitis A twice.
That is left with Hepatitis C: there is no vaccine for that and its endemic in Pakistan but luckily there is now treatment available for that, a recent medical breakthrough.
Most of the people infected with hepatitis C have no symptoms for years or decades, or never, but its the most common causes of hepatitis related liver failure for the same reason.
If Shadab has hepatitis C, there is very good chance he will make full recovery from it with proper treatment which takes about three months . He can still play while taking those pills.
Hepatitis B infection is a serious problem, a different ball game.
He is a young talented cricketer and future of Pakistan cricket, so whatever money it takes to treat his infection is worth spending and he deserves to be treated by best doctors available. But for hepatitis infection, Pakistan has some of the worlds best physicians and I don;t know why he to go to UK for that.
Hope he recovers fully and recovers soon.

Waleed Iqbal is a politician.
Lots of reports on TV that Yasir will replace Shadab for the England series. Great.
If it was only detected in a blood test then its not likely acute.
