Back him all the way. Very handy cricketer

He bowled well yesterday and Morgan should have been given out. There's no point complaining about the umpires call because when it goes in our favour we like it. But to the naked eye it just looked plumb.
Certain posters cannot bring them to face the fact they had been wrong about him all along, so they wait for odd bad over to malign him. He more often than not takes a wicket in his first spell, and can score at good strike rate when given opportunity, and save some boundaries with his fielding. They are probably looking for Murli or Warne, those bowlers are rarely seen in world cricket. Shadab was one of the best spinner in WC 2019. This despite him being young and Pak not playing much cricket.I don’t understand the hate for Shadab, he should not be dropped.

How can you build pressure when your main spinner bowls at least one half-tracker per over ?
Remember guys - he is the most talented 22 years Pakistani since Wasim Akram, debuted in February 1985

Always was and always will be a nothing cricketer. He is just an actor.
An all-round failure.
Adil Rashid was tonked to the moon by a 45 year old Hafeez. But let’s all jump on the bandwagon to end Shadab Khan’s career
I just checked Adil Rashid plays for England not Pakistan.
A World Cup winner leg spinner went for 45 runs in 3 overs on the same track where Babar also went for an economy of 12. Unless the other leggie was leagues above him as a bowler on the same deck, the same haters need to also demand that England look ahead of Adil Rashid
There is a lot of complete nonsense being written in this thread.
At the 2019 ICC World Cup Shadab Khan achieved the same bowling performances as Imran Tahir - whom he outbatted and outfielded - but as a bowler Shadab outperformed:
1. YS Chahal
2. Adil Rashid
3. Adam Zampa
4. Rashid Khan
Forget the nonsense in this thread: here are the cold, hard FACTS.
2019 ICC World Cup bowling records
Rashid Khan: 6 wickets in 71.5 overs, average 69.33
Strike Rate 71.8, Economy 5.79
Shadab Khan: 9 wickets in 58 overs, average 35.55
Strike Rate 38.6, Economy 5.51
Imran Tahir: 11 wickets in 76 overs, average 34.00
Strike Rate 41.4, Economy 4.94
Adil Rashid: 11 wickets in 92 overs, average 47.81
Strike Rate 50.1, Economy 5.71
YS Chalal: 12 wickets in 74 overs, average 36.83
Strike Rate 37.0, Economy 5.97
Adam Zampa: 5 wickets in 33 overs, average 47.20
Strike Rate 39.6, Economy 7.15
Regarding nonsense - do you want me to list the achievements of U22 PAK players debuting since February 1985? You know where it started, don’t you?
Almost lost the game, single-handedly. We can thank the old fox Riaz for the terrific second last over he bowled.
MMHS I know you don’t think Shadab is anything special but surely you must believe he makes the first choice team on merit? Not many other limited overs leg spinners available, plus his batting is good for 15-25 runs down the order and obviously a gun fielder. Shows guts under pressure also.
I do rate him for LOs - even in this thread, last page you can read my post. But, there is a limit of everything. I am now someone into my 40s, started to follow cricket in a country where cricket was pass time for few rich kids, one main reason was for those PAK cricketers playing in late 80s, 90s. For me it’s really difficult to digest that this guy Shadab khan is sold as the best thing from PAK cricket since Wasim Akram took a 10for in his second Test - that’s 35+ years back.
I guess, you understand who is talking nonsense here.
I see comments such as “needs to be dropped” and “captaincy candidate” posted on the same day. Very difficult to understand some Pakistani fans.

Yes please.
Because Wasim Akram was performing at this age, but Waqar Younis wasn't at his true age, nor was Younis Khan. Razzaq's age was absurd, Afridi's age was a joke too - I'm really not seeing any Pakistani who performed at this age to the level that Shadab Khan does.

What makes you think that Shadab’s age is genuine by that note?
Obviously nowhere near Akram but those comments aside I do feel he has lots of value for this team. And indeed does have talent if he chooses to decide what his role is and work hard on it.
He indeed has value for this PAK side .... hence for a fan like me starting to watch PAK cricket before many of the passionate fans here were born, congratulated PCT today the moment they beat the mighty England reserve team in a T20 on the last ball, ...... finally after one month tour & one month preparation.
Junaids - even if I take 3-4 years buffer, what 18 years old Amir did in Australia, NZ & UK - Shadab will have to go through several 22 years cycle to dream that.
Really?
Because this is what Amir actually did in those Tests you have cited, before he was banned:
In Sri Lanka: 6 wickets in 3 Tests at 43.50
In New Zealand: 7 wickets in 3 Tests at 43.71
In Australia: 8 wickets in 2 Tests at 40.37
In England: 30 wickets in 5 Tests at 19.80
Now do you see why I stick up for Shadab Khan? People have rose-tinted memories of how other youngsters performed, while he is actually doing incredibly well for a man of his age (indeed a man of any age if you look at the thread I just started).
Amir is a frontline bowler who bowls long spells to the best batsmen in the opposing team Shadab took the wickets of Archer and Anderson in the last test he played.
This allowed him despite going wicketless in the second innings to maintain a nice average whilst having little to no impact with the ball in regards to winning the match for his team.
Age isn’t a big factor with Shadab his untapped potential isn’t really there we have seen everything we can see and he’s regressed in limited overs year by year how is he going to suddenly become a great player as he’s yet to give any hints he can be other than maybe as a batsman in tests but teams haven’t seen a lot of him.
For him to be a 40 plus averaging batsman he’ll have to improve once teams have had a proper look at him.
In that First Test at Manchester:
Yasir Shah bowled 48 overs and took 8-165
Shadab Khan bowled 11 overs and took 2-47.
Dom Bess bowled 32 overs and took 2-114
England's fourth quick bowled 28 overs and took 4-66, and their third quick bowled 25 overs and took 4-54.
it's a perfect illustration of why Pakistan should NOT be replacing their fourth quick with Yasir Shah.
This was his "best" Test of the series and he took 8-165 in 48 overs, while England's fourth quick took 4-66 in 28 overs and their third quick took 4-54 in 25 overs.
Yasir Shah keeps getting used outside Asia in a self-destructive role. He goes for too many runs per over and he wears out the three remaining quick bowlers.
I'd much rather have Shadab batting at 7 and bowling 25 overs in the match, with a fourth quick in the team.
Yasir took 11 wickets in the test series which is almost more than the combined total of the 3 quick bowlers who took 13 between them.
It’s more a case of the fast bowlers not being good enough than Yasir wearing them out.

You were nowhere to be seen in this thread when Shadab performed well in the 1st game and when he had a bad game you suddenly arrive... Very smart ... You are really good at picking the situations

I am sure that anil kumbles away avg is close to khan's but only a deluded soul will pick Khan over him .
Actually if we dive deep junaids is basically saying that outside asia Shadab is a better player than any asian spinner ever .
Which basically means that Khan is better than Bedi, prasanna,Ashwin, jadeja,Qadir, mushy,Saqlain, shah,Herath and it will be foolish to pick any of them above this nobody Shadab.Height of delusion.

On the other thread Mamoon wrote that "Shadab averages 58 with the ball against India in 5 ODIs. He is quite clearly no good at all."
In reply, I pointed out that Shane Warne averaged 57 with the ball against India in 18 ODIs!!!!!!
Funnily enough, that got no reply...….
