Shadab Khan: Why is he bowling so short?

Shadab has been bowling short way too much. Early on in his career, He used to bowl sharp googly which was very deceptive like Rashid Khan.

In PSL, He outplayed and outsmarted Shoaib Malik who is a very fine player of spin bowling.

What is going on with him?

He is a mediocre spinner who made an instant impact because batsmen could not pick his googly. However, he has been found out now and looks impotent. Even in the PSL he was very poor this year.

A bits and pieces good for nothing player who needs to be shown the door as soon as possible. We cannot carry specialist fielders or specialist captains in this team. He needs to be replaced by a genuine spinner who can turn and flight the ball, and has more than one variation.

3 things, firstly he is not 100, 2ndly he is not bowling quick that he used to, he never had precise control over his length but that didn't hurt because he was bowling quick turning deliveries.

Stop contradicting your self, you used to praise him highly and now just because he is not fit and not bowling quick enough he has become a mediocre bowler? Great logic.

He is not 100% fit he is better then this it’s fault of selection committee they picked 6 pacers and no specialist spinners

Which proves that I am not a blind hater or a blind lover. Shadab made a big immediate impact but that turned out to be a false hope because he is a minnow-basher. His fitness is a pretext - he does not have enough quality with the bat or the ball to do well against the top teams.

He is decent in both skills now he needs to make a decision in which skill he wants to excel I think making him a test match number 7 has hampered his development as a bowler but I believe he has enough quality to be world class

He is technically not good enough to bat in the top order and he is not a good enough hitter to bat in the lower-order. He does not fit into the batting lineup at the moment other than in the tail, and his bowling has been worked out.

He has little variations and looks blunt when his googly is not working. Quality batsmen are not fazed by him - can't believe people were comparing him to Rashid Khan.

I agree that he needs to go back to domestic cricket and decide which skill to develop. He is a bits and pieces cricketer at the moment who should either play in the top-order in F/C cricket or play as a specialist spinner. He needs a lot of overs in 4 day games, simply not good enough at the moment.

Of course he cannot decide that for himself, but the management should collaborate with a F/C team because if Shadab continues like this, his international career will be over very soon.

It seemshe is playing with imjury either too short or too full conditions are ideal but players milking him if u watch chahal he is also not a bug spinner but bowls on 5 th to 6th stup line with his floter are wicket to wicket he need to correct his line as soon as possible otherwise he will go for plenty

His days are over we should play him in T20s only ODIs and tests are not his cup of tea. Need to find a replacement ASAP
