Yet likes of Abid Ali, Shan Masood and few others could not do this.

How is that possible? Should our batsmen be taking lessons from these youngsters?

Azhar, Shaan and Abid deserve rotten eggs hurled at them by Pak fans in NZ. DISGUSTING BUNCH

16 years old, abandoning his mother’s funeral to fight for his country in Australia

17 years old, doing his best to save a Test against Boult, Southee and Santner with their tails up.

But yeah, let’s pick on him and scapegoat him to our convenience sitting on our couches

What about the national clown Yasir Shah?

You mean this one?

Well as an international cricketer you should be able to handle a bat so yes it was a good effort from Shaheen and Naseem but it's another case of nearly, almost, tried hard.

The culprits with the bat are the likes of Shan who scored 10 runs in total in the match, Abid who made 25 runs in total, Haris who scored 12 runs combined.

Well didn’t do jack in his primary trade for which he was picked so doesn’t mean anything.

We can find enough people ready to fight for the country if that’s your metric

someone showing fight and raw emotions and disappointment when his team lost? Especially when so young? I will take, salute and applaud this approach anyday...

Yes. He distributes Pakistan Test caps to the crowd

He distributes easy catches to the slips whilst trying to save a Test

And this is what Shaheen Shah Afridi did by staying firm and not shying away

He is such a gentle giant. Probably the toughest guy in the field in comparison to fake aggression Neil Wagner, but the boy stood firm and fought for as long as he was allowed to

Criticizing Azhar Ali makes no sense, he was a very mediocre batsman right from start, limited shots in the armory, now with age he is past prime , someone who is mediocre in prime , would be poor past it.

His age is around 36 , in reality, it is at least 39 . A top order batsman averaging 42 after 82 test !

Good question.

I think you'll get the answers to that if Rizwan/Babar or anyone who makes the final call on XI, get a bright idea in their heads and send Shaheen and Naseem to open the batting against Boult and Southee with fresh legs and a brand new burra in their hands.

Until then, we might never know.

This looks like those pre match catch practicing videos. The only thing missing in those videos is the score bar at the bottom. :inti

Watching yasir dismissal boil my blood 😡😡😡.He was more than capable of staying at crease instead he bottled in pressure situation

Bro he didn’t bottle it, the hall mark of a champion is to play shots under pressure. Yasir was manipulating the ball in between second and 4th slip gap left by Kane Williamson, so Pakistan could try to chase the runs down...

It should not have come to this. Losing azhar 2nd ball was a huge blow. He would have been the one NZ would have wanted as he is known to bat for long periods of time.
