Inzamam is a silly selection. He averaged 23 with the bat in 5 World Cups.

Got to have Starc in an all time World Cup XI. Leading tournament wicket taker in 2015 and 2019.

Kohli in World Cup knockout matches.

2011 QF vs Aus = 24. (Won)
2011 SF vs Pak = 9. (Won)
2011 Final vs SL = 35. (Won)

2015 QF vs BD = 3. (Won)
2015 SF vs Aus = 1. (Lost)

2019 SF vs NZ = 1. (Lost)

Jacques Kallis,I can't even remember he had a good tournament.
I would have picked Symonds,Watson instead of Kallis.

I've seen a lot of former players' all time XI and in a lot of them I notice that they put Jacques Kallis at 6 (or somewhere in the lower order). Am I missing something? Because I've seen Kallis play for years and he was always a 3,4 position batsman. Why do these XIs have him batting at 6 all the time? I get that he's an all rounder and that it'll give the team a solid quick bowling option, but if I have Kallis in my team he's batting at either 3 or 4. Not that he can't power hit, it's just you get more out of him as a batsman when he's in the top order.

In a World Cup XI, Kohli, Inzy, Kallis, Akhtar and Saqlain don't belong.

Locks:
Tendulkar, Viv, ABdV, Starc, McGrath, Akram

1. Tendulkar
2. Mark Waugh
3. Viv
4. ABdV
5. Dhoni
6. Maxwell
7. Klusener
8. Akram
9. Starc
10. Warne
11. McGrath

Warne over Murali due to batting, and very similar world cup records
Klusener averages 124 @ 120. Lock
I actually think Gilchrist > Dhoni, but there are lots of other great openers and very few great no 6's
Maxwell controversial, but his strike rate is so much better than anyone else, while also averaging 38 and offering bowling
Mark Waugh averaged 52 in 3 world cups so gets the other openers spot

A lot of deserving players missing out and a lot of random players pick are there.

Inconsistent from Boom Boom :afridi
