[VIDEO] "Invited Pakistan team for dinner tonight so I will feed sheep to them": Shahid Afridi

Shahid Afridi:

“I have invited Pakistan team for dinner tonight so I will feed sheep to them, so they are stronger on the field in the fourth ODI against New Zealand on Friday,”

So be it.

It’s not like the food at random stalls and restaurants in Pakistan guarantee that you won’t have food poisoning the next day anyway :))

What I am saying is that during tour/series, Pakistan team gets its meals from hotels etc which are supervised - when you go to a person's house, it's not the same.

This could be a security threat too tbh.A lot of political instability these days and its very easy to get headlines by doing an attack on the national cricket team. The security surely wont be the same as the hotel at Afridis home.

To be fair our 5 starr hotels have very bland food with no taste or anything.

If afridi prepared true peshawari food than they dont really cause food poisoning as they dont use spices.

If it was catering, than im sure afridi must have used a proper service.

Food poisoning isnt much of a cocern, it can happen anytime and more likely to happen to foreigners

There is political instability not terrorism, especially at the urban side.

One day before an international game which in theory could help get to the number one ODI position in rankings?

By all means, hold a dinner to celebrate our 5-0 win but not during the series.

Fans on social media were quick to notice Pakistan captain’s absence and started searching for any clues in pictures and videos shared by Afridi.

Afridi was on Monday inquired about Babar’s absence from the party, to which he replied, “Shaheen said to me that some players wanted to meet and have dinner with me. I said whoever wants to come, can come. Whoever wanted to come, came [for dinner].”

Quite an aggressive response by Afridi.

Pretty obvious that there is some friction between hun and Babar thanks to his lobbying for Shaheen as captain.

Wasn't it Shahid Afridi who wanted to replace Babar Azam as skipper?
