Shashank Singh (born 21 November 1991) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Chhattisgarh. In December 2023, he was bought by the Punjab Kings team for the 2024 Indian Premier League for 20 lakhs. He is son of IPS officer Shailesh Singh.

He made his List A debut on 10 December 2015 in the 2015–16 Vijay Hazare Trophy. In February 2017, he was bought by the Delhi Daredevils team for the 2017 Indian Premier League for 10 lakhs.

Everybody was laughing on Preity Zinta for mistakenly picking a old player with same name. But today he has proven everybody wrong with a match winning knock of 61*(29) against GT in their home ground.

He is not international material. He is 32. He plays finisher role for his side. That is where his career will end. But you are right lol It was an accidental pick that turned out to be a match winner
 
Shashank Singh, again the lone warrior for PBKS at the moment. Can he steer his side home too again this time. Currently at 38*(21).
 
Another good knock by Shashank today made 41 off 25 against MI. Close but no cigar
 
68*(28) for Shashank Singh and that too in a winning cause for PBKS against KKR today in an encounter in IPL.
 
He is better in T20's than pretenders like Shubman Gill or Virat Kohli who suck the life out of any innings with their uninspiring and predictable batting.
A lot of T20 batting is about attitude. Talent is not just enough. You need both talent and attitude to shine and dominate.

This guy wasnt even suppose to have an IPL contract. Got one by accident, I hope he plays for India eventually.

Just shows how poor teams are inept at identifying and judging talent.

He will be well past his prime by the time that happens. He and Ashutosh Sharma will be wasted.

Teams pick players some match up formula. When they have surplus of batsmen we see this underutilization.Just look at current teams. There are so many underutilizied resources especiially fast bowling department. Kartik Tyagi, Umran, Hangarkekar, Simarjeet Singh
