Pathetic selection in 1st place, but until pakistan stop persisting with failing seniors for way to long they will keep going backwards.

Malik might retire from ODIs but Hafeez will not do that. Hafeez may even play in 2023 WC unless Imran himself steps in.

This can be expected from Hafeez not with Malik, a shameless beghairat aadmi. The damage he has done in the last 10 years is irreversible. He was banned for one year after he admitted on the coup attempt against YOunis Khan in 2011/2. He was with help from certain connections was pushed down our throats replacing 40+ average guy like FAwad Alam. In anyother country he would've never played again after 2004. Chief selector/captain inzamam destroyed a lot of careers for him. AsimKamal, Misbah ul Haq, etc...
Shoaib Malik was not THAT bad, I guess his recent emergency visit back home for some "personal reason" showed his mind was not fully clear to concentrate on cricket, had some domestic issues. Has been an average cricketer anyway, who has played way too long for Pakistan than he deserved.
