Should Australia give Ben Dunk another chance?

Considering how Ben Dunk has given phainta to bowlers in PSL, this has all the elements of a resurgence arc. Ben has played 6 T20Is in total with a good SR and an ok average. However, this was quite a while ago.

He can turn out to be the golden wild card for Australia. What do you guys think?

I wouldn’t pay too much attention to IPL either, there bowling standard is pretty mediocre apart from few bowlers. In PSL unless pitch is a belter we have some quality bowlers.

Ben dunk cannot take place of finch or Warner. He is very much down the pecking order. But Ben cutting is someone they could consider rather than Mitch marsh

In that way Haris Rauf wasnt even in the top 5 wicket takers in Pakistan’s domestic National T20 Cup 2019 and had economy of over 8 but in BBL he was the next coming of Marshall.

Its about form, confidence and momentum. Dunk has played played for Aus and performed in BBL as well previously though in last season of BBL he has struggled but he hasnt been given a lot of oppurtunities, in 2018-19 BBL he scored 3 50+ scores.

Absolutely spot on. Its pretty sad in a way. The guy has no domestic and our fans act as if he was the second coming of Richards. Same with the failed has-been Kamran. One innnings and fans forget all.

Who is Ben going to replace we are clicking in all facets of the game, and I hope India make the Test Championship Final because after we bend over the Indians in Australia we will bend them over again in the Test Championship.

We don't really care about the T20, it will be good to win, but it will be forgoteen in a week.

Well considering the fact that he is bashing bowlers in the league that has the “best standard of bowling” in the world, he should definitely be a lock-in for Australia’s WT20 squad.

It's a different ball game when you're facing five or six of the best bowlers of any top-tier cricketing country. In leagues you're always exposed to weak links, even in the best of teams. As Luke Ronchi said, PSL is great and all but the jump to international cricket is still quite significant.

He is just wacking SLA, if you play 4 of them, probably he is going to hit 30 sixes in an innings... I am not convinced on his ability, pretty one dimensional to me. No wonder he failed in BBL...

Don’t give him SLA and see what he can do. PSL has too many lefty bowlers, something very one dimensional about the league itself.

He’s absolute joke of a batsman that’s way past his peak days.

If you want to see how bad he was then look no further than the recently concluded BBL which he had to be dropped cos he’s was doing jack all and only brought back due to injuries etc to others.

He has done nothing for the past couple of seasons.
